"Let’s go, I’ll get you out." Xiang Yu looked at Wang Qian and said.
Now that the parade is over, Xiang Yu has completed the mission he promised No. 1. As for the future of China, that’s not sothing Xiang Yu can consider.
Xiang Yu also knows that in this operation of surrounding the nation, he was just a minor role, having a negligible impact.
But for Xiang Yu personally, this was a life-and-death ordeal; he lived up to No. 1, and he lived up to his country.
Wang Qian looked at Xiang Yu, wanting to say sothing, but after thinking for a mont, she didn’t speak and instead nodded, saying, "Let’s go, let’s leave here."
This ti, Wang Qian brought a large team, but only the two of them could return, leaving her with a sense of defeat.
The two traversed to the border in preparation for crossing.
All of China’s transportation hubs are very sensitive now, with strict checks. Xiang Yu was not confident about bluffing his way through, so he could only smuggle out.
Just as he was leading Wang Qian through the forest, they were suddenly discovered, and China’s border guards began pursuing the two of them.
"Don’t you have that token? Just show it to them." Wang Qian said irritably.
"That thing isn’t sothing just anyone can recognize. I’m afraid they won’t understand it, then report it up the line, which would probably take ti." Xiang Yu said.
"Where on earth did that thing co from?"
"Found it."
Xiang Yu did not explain; he wouldn’t tell Wang Qian that the token was given to him by No. 1.
Recently, Xiang Yu hadn’t been in contact with No. 1, and their relationship had beco quite tricky.
No. 1 used Xiang Yu, but as the mission approached its end, he sent people to capture Xiang Yu—typical of using soone and discarding them.
But Xiang Yu harbored no resentnt towards him. He could understand No. 1’s mindset; for the sake of the country, he had to eliminate any potential security threats.
Xiang Yu and Wang Qian weaved through the forest; both had undergone professional training, so this was just child’s play to them.
"Stop, don’t run, or we’ll shoot."
Soone behind them shouted while chasing.
Of course, Xiang Yu and Wang Qian ignored them. They would be safe as long as they crossed the border line.
As they ran, soldiers from China appeared ahead, surrounding them with guns.
"What do we do?" Wang Qian asked nervously.
"Go that way." Xiang Yu pulled Wang Qian towards the right; the forest was large, making it easy to hide soone.
Wang Qian wasn’t familiar with the area, and she had no ideas, so she could only follow Xiang Yu.
Both of them had great stamina; they kept running, not stopping, until the sound behind them grew faint and they stopped for a break.
Wang Qian, panting slightly, looked at Xiang Yu and said, "You have great stamina; it’s a pity you’re not a long-distance runner."
Xiang Yu smiled faintly and said, "Let’s hurry and leave here."
Though they had left the Chinese soldiers behind, Xiang Yu worried they might catch up. The safest option was to leave the border as quickly as possible.
They walked for a while longer, reaching the edge of the dense forest, where a large stone tablet stood with two characters on it: China.
Standing in front of the tablet, Xiang Yu felt sowhat saddened. Once gone, he didn’t know when he would return.
Wang Qian, beside Xiang Yu, sighed and said, "Since you’re so reluctant, why not stay? After all, this is your holand."
"China can no longer accommodate ." Xiang Yu said, turning to leave.
"Stop, don’t move."
At that mont, a soldier appeared behind them, holding a gun.
Wang Qian was startled; she reached for her gun but realized it was no longer there, as she had thrown it away in the trash during the parade.
The soldier, seeing Wang Qian’s slight movent, quickly unlocked the safety.
"Brother, don’t be nervous. I have sothing here for you to see," Xiang Yu said, preparing to take sothing from his pocket.
"Don’t move, or I’ll shoot." The soldier said sternly.
Soldiers in this environnt must always be prepared for battle because people appearing at the border are rarely ordinary citizens; they are drug lords or foreign threats.
"Don’t move, raise your hands."
The soldier said sternly, not believing Xiang Yu’s words.
Xiang Yu raised his hands directly, while Wang Qian cautiously asked, "What do we do?"
"Just do as told." Xiang Yu reminded.
After all, facing them were China’s soldiers; Xiang Yu didn’t want to harm them.
"I have sothing on that can prove my identity. If you don’t believe, you can let us take it out ourselves." Xiang Yu said.
The soldier hesitated for a mont but still ca over.
He held a gun, already cocked, not truly believing Xiang Yu would play tricks with them.
The soldier carefully took a token from Xiang Yu’s pocket; the token was exquisite, with the character ’令’ written on it.
The soldier, puzzled, looked at Xiang Yu and asked, "What is this?"
"I hope you can hand this thing over to No. 1." Xiang Yu said seriously.
"What? No. 1?" The soldier asked suspiciously.
He was just a small-ti border guard, never having interacted with No. 1, and hearing the people before him talk of handing sothing to No. 1, he first thought they were liars.
When Wang Qian heard Xiang Yu ntion No. 1, she was shocked and half-opened her mouth.
Though she suspected Xiang Yu had connections with China, she never thought it would be with No. 1.
"This thing is very important; I hope you can report it." Xiang Yu said, then suddenly stepped forward and chopped the soldier’s neck.
Wang Qian seized the mont to take the gun and was ready to act.
"There’s no need for that; let’s just leave," Xiang Yu said, blocking in front of Wang Qian.
Wang Qian coldly stared at Xiang Yu for about ten seconds before turning and crossing the border.
Just then, soldiers from China approached from afar.
Xiang Yu didn’t linger; he turned and left. As Xiang Yu crossed the stone tablet, his heart clenched, knowing this might be a final farewell.
The Chinese soldiers were very disciplined; seeing Xiang Yu and Wang Qian cross the border, they didn’t pursue them.
"You’re soone close to China’s No. 1." Wang Qian said coldly while walking ahead.
Now Wang Qian had figured it out; Xiang Yu had formidable skills and a ticulous mind, only soone close to No. 1 could possess such talents.
"You really overestimate ." Xiang Yu casually said.
"It’s not that I overestimate you, but you indeed have that capability." Wang Qian said.
As they casually walked, a squad suddenly appeared around them, guns drawn, surrounding Xiang Yu and Wang Qian.
"Raise your hands." They shouted in English.
Xiang Yu’s heart sank; having just stepped out of China’s border, he hadn’t expected to be caught by these people. Escaping from their grasp would likely be no easy task...
