"You don’t trust my brothers?" Eck frowned, looking at Xiang Yu with confusion.
"Sorry, I don’t know them very well yet," Xiang Yu replied bluntly.
Upon hearing this, Eck nodded. Since Xiang Yu was so straightforward, he responded directly, "Alright, I won’t tell them when we get back, but if there’s any task that needs doing, I’ll definitely call on them."
Xiang Yu smiled and said no more; it was clear that Eck was a very loyal person.
After returning to the base, Xiang Yu took the car keys to return them to Team Leader Satman. There weren’t many vehicles in the base, and all the keys were kept there.
"Where did you go with the car?" Satman asked as he saw Xiang Yu returning the keys.
"Just surveyed the surrounding terrain," Xiang Yu replied simply.
Satman nodded and said, "Since you’re now the deputy leader of Team Ten, I hope you can lead Team Ten to glory. You’re new here, and not very familiar with the area, so if there’s anything you’re unsure about, feel free to ask Eck."
"Yes," Xiang Yu replied respectfully.
Satman nodded and let Xiang Yu leave. Just as Xiang Yu stepped out of the tent, Satman’s eyes turned cold, and he snorted.
Sirvi used to be the leader of Team Ten, personally promoted by Satman, soone he considered his own.
After Xiang Yu and the others arrived, they provoked Eck into causing a scene, eventually leading to Sirvi stepping down from the leader’s position and Eck acting as leader.
After all, Eck was an old mber of their organization, so even if Satman was displeased with him, he understood.
But Xiang Yu and the others were newcors, and Satman had no feelings for them, so he directed his resentnt towards them.
If Xiang Yu and the others behaved perfectly, it would be fine, but if Satman caught them slipping up, he would definitely deal with them properly.
As Xiang Yu walked out of the tent, his phone rang. He picked it up and saw that it was Wang Qian calling.
"Xiang Yu, I’m leaving for Little Bar today," Wang Qian said, her voice sowhat downcast.
Xiang Yu pondered for a mont and said, "Be careful when you get there; I heard it’s pretty chaotic."
Xiang Yu thought it over but didn’t tell Wang Qian that he was already on this side.
Once Wang Qian arrived here, she would definitely be a leading figure in Wolf Fang. If she knew Xiang Yu was here, she would undoubtedly co looking for him, which would be troubleso given their different positions.
"I want to see you again," Wang Qian said, sounding dejected.
After all, who knows when they’ll et again once she departs to the ends of the earth.
"Fate will bring us together no matter how far apart we are. We’ll et again in the future," Xiang Yu laughed to shift the subject. "Where will you be staying once you’re there?"
"Not sure yet, but probably around the capital of Little Syria," Wang Qian replied.
Xiang Yu shook his head with a smile. It seed Wang Qian wouldn’t be far from him once she arrived, making it easy to find out.
"Xiang Yu, it’s not peaceful in Little Bar either. Be careful here; if it cos down to it, co to Little Syria with ," Wang Qian advised.
Xiang Yu knew Wang Qian’s feelings for him, so he smiled and said, "Alright, if things don’t work out here, I’ll definitely co find you. Don’t act like you don’t know then."
"It’s a deal," Wang Qian said, her mood brightening.
After chatting casually, they both hung up the phone.
"Hey, hey, you new guy, I’m talking to you."
As Xiang Yu made his way to his tent, four people sitting by the fire called out to him.
Xiang Yu glanced at the four but kept walking without acknowledging them.
He had seen these four before; they were from Team One, the sa guys who nearly started a fight the other day.
"Kid, I’m talking to you!" One of them shouted, standing up and blocking Xiang Yu’s path when he didn’t respond.
"Are you deaf?" The guy said, reaching out to shove Xiang Yu.
Sidestepping, Xiang Yu grabbed the man’s wrist.
"Let go," the guy shouted, glaring.
The other three saw Xiang Yu about to act and gathered around, yelling, "Screw you, you looking to die?"
The shouting drew the attention of people nearby, and they gathered to watch the commotion.
It was usually boring here, so with sothing happening, no one bothered to intervene.
"It’s them again. Looks like there’s going to be a fight today."
"That new guy’s gonna get it, those four aren’t pushovers."
"I think the new guy’s got so moves too, maybe he’ll last a minute."
Everyone had sothing to say; they were all discussing and even placing bets.
anwhile, Eck was lounging in his tent, and hearing the ruckus outside, he ran out excitedly.
Seeing the crowd from afar, he knew a fight was brewing. Happily, he ran towards Xiang Yu’s tent to call him to enjoy the show.
Just then, he saw Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan co out.
"Where’s Brother Yu? There’s a fight, let’s go watch," Eck said excitedly.
"Brother Yu hasn’t co back yet," Tie Zhuzi replied with the sa excitent. It had been ages since they’d fought, and he was itching to go.
Xiao Xuan frowned for a mont, then quickly ran forward.
"Move aside," Xiao Xuan shouted, ducking into the crowd. Tie Zhuzi and Eck followed closely behind.
Eck admired Xiao Xuan; though young, he had guts.
"What the hell’s going on?" Eck asked as he squeezed through, just in ti to see Xiang Yu surrounded by the four.
Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan rushed over, seeing their predicant.
Initially just a standoff, as Tie Zhuzi pushed through, he aid a kick at one of the guys.
Luckily, the guy dodged in ti, or he would have been knocked flying.
"What’s going on?" soone else squeezed in, frowning.
This was Darwin, the leader of Team One. He glanced at his n, then at Xiang Yu, "You guys causing trouble again?"
"Why don’t you say it’s your guys causing trouble?" Eck couldn’t take it anymore and stood up.
Eck was now the leader of Team Ten, on par with Darwin.
Darwin snorted, turning to his guys, "What happened?"
"This newbie doesn’t know the rules; we just looked at him, and he started cursing us out," one of them said arrogantly.
Hearing this, Xiang Yu chuckled without refuting. So many in this world who could lie.
"Why curse?" Darwin asked coldly, staring at Xiang Yu.
"Because I want to," Xiang Yu said arrogantly, head held high.
Xiang Yu and his group might be newcors, but they weren’t people to be pushed around. If they didn’t teach these guys a lesson, they’d continue looking down on him.
"Pretty arrogant, let’s see if you have the chops for it," Darwin said coldly, clenching his fists.
Eck hadn’t expected Xiang Yu to say that but liked him more for it. Laughing, he said, "If that’s the case, let’s settle it old school: a duel, loser kneels and calls the winner grandpa."
