"You’d better treat nicely, otherwise I’ll report you to my nephew and get you all fired!" Xiang Yu shouted.
"I’ll shut you up," the tall man said, landing a punch to Xiang Yu’s stomach as soon as he was let down.
"Damn it," Xiang Yu spat out so bile.
"I’ll give you one last chance. Tell who sent you, or don’t bla for what happens next," the tall man warned, pressing a gun to Xiang Yu’s head.
The tall man was the bodyguard of Number One. He didn’t have an official position, but he had a lot of power. Killing Xiang Yu here wouldn’t likely cause any trouble.
"You’d better think carefully. If killing delays Number One’s plans, you won’t be able to handle it," Xiang Yu said, showing no fear on his face, none of the previous terror.
"I don’t believe you. I’m going to kill you right now." The tall man unlocked the safety on his gun and aid it at Xiang Yu’s head.
"Stop!" a voice suddenly shouted from outside the prison.
Then a man hurriedly ran in. He was dressed in black, and his physique was perfect. He moved silently, clearly a skilled individual.
"It’s you? What are you here for?" the tall man asked, looking at the new arrival with confusion.
The newcor pulled out a paper and flashed it in front of the tall man. "I’m under orders to take him. Hand him over to ."
The newcor reached for Xiang Yu.
"Hold on!" the tall man quickly interjected. "Let see that paper."
The tall man knew this person was Rolaff’s personal bodyguard, similar in rank to him.
The two protected different people but held equivalent positions, leading to so rivalry between them.
After reviewing it multiple tis, the tall man found nothing wrong with the signatures or stamps. He snorted coldly and walked out.
The newcor ignored the tall man and escorted Xiang Yu out.
"Hey buddy, which departnt are you from? You look kind of familiar," Xiang Yu said with a grin.
But the other guy ignored him.
"Don’t be so cold; it’s bad for your health to keep such a straight face. Smile more—smiling keeps you young," Xiang Yu muttered.
The newcor hadn’t expected Xiang Yu to be so talkative and quickened his pace.
"I didn’t think I’d be so in demand. Being handso really is troubleso," Xiang Yu comnted.
Xiang Yu was placed in a car and driven away in a completely sealed manner. He didn’t even see daylight.
After an unknown amount of ti, Xiang Yu was locked in a small dark room. It was pitch black; he couldn’t see a thing.
He was hanging by his tiptoes, which felt very uncomfortable.
"Is anyone there? I’m hungry," Xiang Yu shouted.
But it was silent all around; nobody responded. However, from the echoes of his voice, Xiang Yu could tell he was in a house, and it wasn’t very large.
"The serum is ready. It’s quite potent, and I’m worried he might just die from it."
"Don’t worry, he seems to have a robust constitution. It should be fine. Let’s begin."
In another building, two people in white coats were discussing this.
One of them held a syringe.
After their exchange, one of them took the syringe and walked towards Xiang Yu.
"I’m hungry, just let out," Xiang Yu muttered.
At that mont, the room suddenly lit up, the glaring white light causing pain in Xiang Yu’s eyes.
"Don’t you bastards have any professional ethics? This is outrageous," Xiang Yu shouted.
Just then, he felt a prick on his neck, followed by the injection of liquid.
Xiang Yu was startled, then quickly took stock of his body.
He felt a bit floaty, as if he was about to transcend.
At that mont, in another building, the two people in white coats were observing Xiang Yu through a large screen, when a few people entered the room.
One of them exuded authority and the aura of soone used to power. It was none other than Rolaff, the deputy chief of the Little Ba army unit.
"How’s it going?" Rolaff asked, looking at Xiang Yu hanging on the screen.
"The injection is complete; it will only take two minutes," one of the people in white said.
"Everyone, leave," Rolaff said calmly.
The others were montarily stunned, unsure if they’d heard Rolaff correctly.
"I said leave," Rolaff repeated impatiently as he saw them still standing there.
The group, including Rolaff’s bodyguards, exchanged glances before leaving.
With only Rolaff in the room, he gave a contemptuous smile and picked up the microphone.
"What’s your na?" Rolaff asked.
Xiang Yu’s eyes were bleary, showing no alertness.
"Xiang Yu," he mumbled quietly.
Seeing the serum working well, Rolaff nodded in satisfaction and continued, "Is there soone you like?"
"Yes," Xiang Yu said, his gaze vacant, fully under the serum’s influence now.
"Who?" Rolaff, knowing nobody was around, was suddenly curious about soone else’s personal life.
"A very beautiful girl. I love her dearly." Xiang Yu replied.
"How long do you think you and she can last?" Rolaff asked, instinctively glancing around.
Though he knew he was alone in the room and only he would hear the answers, he still felt a bit guilty.
"I’ve never been with her. I love her very much," Xiang Yu said, drooling slightly, looking almost foolish.
Seeing Xiang Yu like this, Rolaff lost interest in further questions. "Why did you approach Ailock?" he asked next.
This was the question Rolaff really wanted to ask; he had already watched that video and noticed Xiang Yu didn’t act like he wanted to harm Ailock.
Now Xiang Yu looked anguished as if ntally resisting the question.
"Why did you approach Ailock?" Rolaff yelled, seeing Xiang Yu frown.
He already knew Xiang Yu was the one trying to contact Rumus to take down the nghu rcenary Corps.
Xiang Yu was a minor figure and shouldn’t have drawn Rolaff’s attention.
But Rolaff worried Xiang Yu had passed so information to Ailock.
"I don’t know; I don’t know why I approached Ailock," Xiang Yu said, eyes shut tight.
"You’re lying; you know exactly why," Rolaff pressed.
"Ah, my head hurts," Xiang Yu exclaid, unable to bear it anymore.
But at that mont, Xiang Yu started to co around...
(Finally started. How many friends are still following along?"
