If Huang Xiaoliang knew that Xiang Yu hadn’t actually found them and was just randomly shooting inside, he’d probably be furious.
"Shoot, shoot hard," Huang Xiaoliang ordered.
Dense bullets flew out from the woods, hitting Xiang Yu’s car and making tallic clashing sounds and shattering glass.
"Damn, these bastards are really inside," Tie Zhuzi said while occasionally firing shots into the woods from the back of the car.
Since it was nightti, they couldn’t see inside the woods clearly, so the shots were random.
Being outside the woods, Xiang Yu’s side was at a disadvantage as the enemy could accurately hit the car.
Though the woods weren’t large, hiding dozens of people was still possible.
At this mont, Wang Qian and her group could vaguely hear gunfire from this side. She paused for a mont before calling Xiang Yu.
The call connected, but she wanted to ask if Xiang Yu and his group were in danger. However, the dense gunfire on the phone explained everything.
"Need backup?" Wang Qian asked.
Although their relationship was not ordinary, their identities mattered. If she brought people over without saying anything, it could cause misunderstandings.
"No worries, we can handle this minor problem ourselves," Xiang Yu replied casually.
"Is it Scar and his n?" Wang Qian asked.
"Probably not," Xiang Yu said, casually glancing outside. A bullet narrowly missed his forehead.
"I’ll hang up now," Xiang Yu said and promptly hung up before looking at Xiao Xuan. "Get to a safe spot and set those woods on fire for ."
"I’m on it," Tie Zhuzi eagerly chid in, loving such tasks.
"You better stay put, your size is too big, covering too much area, making you an easy target for bullets," Xiang Yu said.
The people around him laughed.
Tie Zhuzi was quick to act, but compared to Xiao Xuan’s agility, there was a huge difference.
Xiao Xuan grabbed a small barrel, took gasoline from a vehicle, and looked at Xiang Yu. "Bro, I’m off."
Xiang Yu nodded and shouted, "Cover ."
After saying that, Xiang Yu grabbed two guns and started firing into the woods.
Seeing Xiang Yu in action, others also started shooting randomly with both guns.
At this mont, Xiao Xuan, with the gasoline barrel, ran swiftly into the distance. In the dark, he was like a rapid black panther.
Due to the enemy’s dense firepower, he had to circle to the other side of the woods.
At this mont, Huang Xiaoliang was anxiously pacing behind a tree.
"Damn it, why do Xiang Yu and his crew have so many bullets?" Huang Xiaoliang yelled.
He had planned to deplete their bullets and then charge out to easily finish the battle.
But evidently, his plan was not working; Xiang Yu’s team kept shooting, and bullets seed abundant.
Even though Xiang Yu hadn’t brought heavy weapons, he had enough bullets.
With Rumus and his military backing him, Xiang Yu wasn’t worried about the ammunition problem.
Seeing it drag on like this wasn’t feasible, as it wasn’t his territory, and another force might co at any mont.
"Brothers, concentrate fire on one car and blow it up," Huang Xiaoliang ordered.
They were all trained rcenaries and upon hearing their leader’s command, they uniformly started firing at the car furthest left.
The two hiding behind the car got shot in the thighs and started bleeding profusely.
"You guys co over here," Xiang Yu called, noticing so brothers injured, and promptly helped them to his car.
Xiang Yu’s vehicle was bulletproof, ordinary bullets couldn’t penetrate.
They all squeezed together, so it was inevitable there’d be gaps.
Just then, the car on the far left suddenly exploded, lighting up half the sky.
The massive shockwave blasted many away, and Xiang Yu, standing close to the edge, was thrown to the ground.
Hitting the ground, Xiang Yu nearly fainted.
"Brother Yu, are you alright?" Tie Zhuzi hurried over, seeing Xiang Yu on the ground, and helped him up.
Xiang Yu felt a headache, but instinctively knew it wasn’t serious.
However, beside him, a comrade had a fragnt of the car penetrate his head, his eyes still unwillingly open.
Seeing this, Xiang Yu’s mind went blank. His carelessness had hard his brothers.
Earlier, if he had called Wang Qian for help, this battle could have ended quickly.
The adversaries would retreat imdiately upon hearing Wang Qian’s voice, avoiding the need for a gunfight.
Yet, now it has led to a deadly outco.
Xiang Yu’s eyes were bloodshot, his body slightly trembling. These were the Sky Dragon Squad brothers who followed him from ho, unexpectedly dying in a foreign land.
He felt imnse guilt. An overwhelming sense of powerlessness consud his heart, reminiscent of the ti he left the battlefield alone.
"Brother Yu, don’t be too upset. These brothers, by following you, were already prepared for this," Tie Zhuzi consoled, saddened as he had close bonds with them.
Typically, he’d hang out with them, boasting and bantering.
"Exactly, boss. Coming here, we never imagined returning alive. Dying on the battlefield is a blessing," one forced a smile.
Xiang Yu gestured them to stop talking. He knew they were comforting him.
Xiang Yu closed the eyelids of the fallen brother, yet the gunfire around him continued relentlessly, unheard in his ears.
"Look over there, the fire started."
Soone shouted from afar, causing everyone to glance in that direction.
Only to see a raging fire in the upwind direction suddenly blazing up.
Seeing it, Huang Xiaoliang was also alard; the fire hadn’t reached them yet, but they could already feel suffocation.
The wildfire spread rapidly, especially downwind, catching up in the blink of an eye.
Many casualties from forest fires aren’t from burning but suffocation or inhaling gases like carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide.
Realizing the severity, Huang Xiaoliang shouted, "Evacuate, retreat, cough cough..."
Thick smoke rapidly enveloped the area, causing slower movers to collapse instantly.
"Evacuate quickly, stop **** shooting, hurry and leave," Huang Xiaoliang said, coughing heavily from inhaling smoke.
He persevered to the outside, jumped into a car, and drove away.
Gradually, others joined him in the car, looking defeated, so even dropping pistols in the woods.
The fire spread quickly; they dared not linger and sped off in cars.
Xiang Yu and his crew stood in the distance, watching the raging fire, feeling its intense heat...
