Capítulo 1499: Chapter 1500: Years of Scheming to Trap Zhong Min
“Xiao Min, you finally ca. It’s so good to see you again.” Xia Cheng said with a big smile on his face.
Zhong Min stood by the car, looking at Xia Cheng’s happy smile, and her heart stirred a little.
If they were just ordinary people living ordinary lives, then finding soone they like to marry would be great too.
“I’m here to pick you up.” Xia Cheng said as he directed Zhong Min to his car.
Zhong Min didn’t refuse, she walked over and got in the car.
Xia Cheng sat beside her, looking a bit nervous, unsure of what to do with his hands.
Zhong Min didn’t seem to want to speak, she just leaned quietly back.
“It’s been over a year since we last t, right? I’ve been thinking about you this whole ti.” Xia Cheng said directly.
Zhong Min just nodded and said, “Let be quiet for a mont, okay? I’m a bit tired.”
Xia Cheng quickly nodded and said, “Sure, you should get so sleep.”
Then Xia Cheng stopped talking, but he still wore a smile on his face, looking very happy.
Looking at his smile, Zhong Min’s heart felt a bit warm. After all, there’s still soone in this world who truly cares for her.
Arriving at Xia Cheng’s estate, Xia Cheng led Zhong Min to a very spacious room.
“This room is prepared especially for you, no one has ever stayed here before.” Xia Cheng said happily.
Zhong Min was very touched and nodded, “Thank you, I’m a bit tired, I’ll rest for a while.”
“Alright, you rest first, we’ll talk in the afternoon.” Xia Cheng said happily as he walked out and closed the door.
As he walked out the door, he had an urge to laugh out loud. His smile was filled with happiness, gradually turning sinister.
Alone in the room, Zhong Min first looked around the house. It was exquisitely decorated and uniquely styled.
It seems Xia Cheng is truly a thoughtful person, having spent a lot of ti and energy for her.
The fact that this room was reserved especially for her made Zhong Min’s heart warm.
The bed was very comfortable, lying on it made her drowsy. She was lost in thought, not knowing how much ti had passed until she fell into a deep sleep.
When she woke up, it was nine o’clock in the evening, and her stomach was rumbling.
She tidied up her clothes, wanting to take a walk outside and find sothing to eat.
When she opened the door, she saw Xia Cheng already standing there waiting.
“Xia Cheng?” Zhong Min was very touched, she had been inside sleeping for at least two to three hours, and he had been waiting here the whole ti. Which woman wouldn’t be moved by such dedication?
“You’re awake.” Xia Cheng said happily, “You must be hungry, I’ve already had sothing prepared for you.”
After saying this, Xia Cheng gestured for her to go ahead.
Zhong Min quickly nodded and then went along with Xia Cheng.
They arrived at a room, where the table was filled with all kinds of delicious foods, all of Zhong Min’s favorites.
It seems Xia Cheng put in a lot of effort to please Zhong Min.
Unable to contain her feelings, Zhong Min looked at Xia Cheng and said, “Thank you.”
Her gratitude was heartfelt. Now she had no family to turn to, and friends only made her suspicious. At this mont, Xia Cheng’s presence made her feel very warm.
Xia Cheng scratched his head and smiled naively, “Go ahead and eat, it’s still hot.”
After saying this, he sat down first and started serving Zhong Min with lots of delicacies.
Zhong Min sat there looking at Xia Cheng, also with a smile on her face, “You’re so nice.”
“Don’t complint , you’ll make embarrassed.” Xia Cheng’s face turned red as he quickly lowered his head to eat.
Seeing him like this, Zhong Min smiled. There aren’t many n like this nowadays.
The two got along very well, chatting while eating. Xia Cheng was very humorous, and his lighthearted words soon lifted Zhong Min’s spirits.
Zhong Min never realized before that Xia Cheng could be so humorous.
While they were enjoying their conversation, suddenly the lights in the room went out.
Zhong Min beca a bit tense; she was most afraid of the dark. The darkness reminded her of an unntionable childhood.
Her breathing grew tense, and her entire body trembled.
“Help, help.” Zhong Min began to cry out uncontrollably.
“Xiao Min, don’t be afraid, I’m here.” Xia Cheng was already by Zhong Min’s side.
Zhong Min grabbed his clothes as if holding onto a lifeline.
Her whole body trembled, and she finally clung tightly to Xia Cheng’s neck.
“Don’t be afraid, I’m Xia Cheng.” Xia Cheng patiently comforted Zhong Min, while a barely noticeable sinister smile flashed across his face.
Half a year ago, he had already investigated what Zhong Min liked to eat, her aversions, her fears.
He had everything investigated thoroughly, and from the mont Zhong Min stepped into his estate today, she had fallen into his plan.
Zhong Min’s fear of the dark, it’s said, was due to a trauma in childhood. No one knew the specifics, for she had never ntioned that period to anyone.
Or perhaps she outright refused to recall it, only knowing that on that fateful night she beca an orphan, and it was her foster father who saved her.
“Get out of here, get out of here.” Zhong Min clung tightly to Xia Cheng’s neck, her voice trembling as she spoke.
“Don’t be afraid, I’m here.” Xia Cheng said, placing his hand on Zhong Min’s shoulder.
Zhong Min didn’t react much, still trembling there.
Seeing no reaction, Xia Cheng began gently patting her back.
This seed to work well for Zhong Min, as her trembling lessened.
“Xiao Min, don’t be afraid, it’s .” Xia Cheng said, patting Zhong Min on the back and gently holding her in his arms.
Xia Cheng was very patient. He had waited for this opportunity for many years. One could say the plan he had put in place for so many years was finally ready to be executed.
Zhong Min did not resist, then lightly lay on Xia Cheng’s shoulder. Now, besides the fear in her mind, there was the image of Xiang Yu.
And this shoulder she was borrowing was indeed Xiang Yu’s, at this mont it was as if she returned to that small room on Fangcun Mountain.
Every night Xiang Yu accompanied her, the two of them cuddling with deep affection. Now this scene was so similar to back then.
“I miss you.” Zhong Min said softly, lying on Xia Cheng’s shoulder, almost like she was talking in her sleep.
Xia Cheng suddenly froze, wondering if she had liked him all this ti without him knowing?
This thought made his heart feel very complicated. If that were true, why was she avoiding him all this ti? Why didn’t she answer his calls?
Could it be that all the years he spent planning were in vain, and she had always held feelings for him, only too shy to express them?
A big question mark ford in Xia Cheng’s mind, halting the next step he was prepared to take.
If she truly liked him, then there was no need to rush. In fact, it might be counterproductive.
“All these years, do you know that I’ve been secretly trying to find out about you?” Zhong Min murmured…
