The convoy of vehicle number one proceeded towards the target destination, surrounded by a protection team, with police cars clearing the way ahead and local military disguised as civilians following behind.
Though the team was not massive, its presence was imposing. To ensure the safety of vehicle number one, the local departnts had sealed off the entire route to the destination.
After all, there were safety concerns in the minibus, and given the special identity of vehicle one, any incident here would pose significant obstacles to the relations between the two countries.
Just as they reached halfway, a voice suddenly ca through the guards’ earpieces, the source unknown.
"Eight o’clock direction, atop the second floor, there’s a sniper, number three, take him out."
As soon as the voice sounded, a car at the flank gradually stopped, and a person descended from it. Without any obvious action, a dagger was thrown out.
The dagger glinted with a cold gleam, and before the sniper could react, he was dead.
Number three, with calm composure, got back into the car and continued forward.
Many local soldiers witnessed this scene, feeling nothing but astonishnt.
Although also soldiers, they couldn’t understand why the gap was this significant compared to the opposition.
What they didn’t know was that the protective team around vehicle number one consisted of elite among elites, selected from special guard units across major military districts nationwide.
Each mber among them possessed skills nearly as good as Xiang Yu’s.
The team encountered no further obstructions along the way, nor did any organizations with intentions dare to erge, choosing to hide upon seeing this convoy.
The local military district commander had already received a notification and led the elite troops to et them ten miles ahead.
Though prepared, he was still taken aback upon seeing the arriving party.
He had been inford to prepare for top leadership’s arrival, but hadn’t expected the highest Commander from their system to co.
Rumus felt sowhat excited, despite being the military district commander, eting their highest Commander was incredibly difficult.
The highest commander of the minibus system, seeing Rumus’s restrained deanor, chuckled, "Relax a bit, I’m here accompanying number one."
Only then did Rumus realize that standing beside their Commander was China’s number one.
Witnessing this, his nerves tightened further, knowing he was holding a crucial figure.
Without pleasantries, Rumus directly got into the car to lead the way. Even once seated in his vehicle, his emotions remained tumultuous.
Now all major leaders had arrived, presenting both an opportunity and a disaster for him.
If he perford well, it would be an opportunity; if poorly, he wouldn’t need to be a commander any longer and could simply retire.
The ten-mile journey took little over ten minutes.
Rumus extended his hospitality, inviting all major leaders into the reception room.
The local highest commander smiled at Rumus, saying, "Tell everyone here about the specifics of this incident first."
Rumus had been prepared for this. Hearing his superior request, he began explaining how they investigated the terrorists, then how they attacked them, and captured so terrorists.
Then he detailed how Xiang Yu erged and rescued people.
Rumus narrated everything thoroughly.
Those seated ahead were people well-acquainted with significant events; none were surprised by his account.
Yet during Xiang Yu’s rescue segnt, there lay a curious interest — how Xiang Yu infiltrated, and how he rescued people.
Feeling a bit awkward, Rumus recounted the festive scenes of that day and conducted a self-review.
Number one nodded, saying, "May I et him?"
Number one asked politely, as it was, after all, their territory, and he was a guest.
With all major leaders present, Rumus himself couldn’t decide, so he looked up to consult his highest superior for their opinion.
"Certainly, Rumus, lead the way; we’ll go together," the highest commander responded courteously.
Rumus quickly nodded and said, "The environnt there is quite harsh, so prepare yourselves ntally."
With this, Rumus led the group towards the dungeon.
Now he sowhat regretted hanging Xiang Yu up; if these people saw Xiang Yu hanging there, he couldn’t fathom what would beco of him.
Wanting to call ahead to instruct, but being so close to the leaders behind him, he had no opportunity.
Ultimately, he resigned to fate, bracing himself and proceeding inside.
"Commander, why have you brought so many people? Who are they?" one of the captains walked over casually asking.
Rumus glared, signaling him not to speak recklessly, then continued forward.
The captain found it strange as Rumus was not typically like this.
Scratching his head, he looked back at the people behind, recognizing a few as familiar, but unable to recall where he’d seen them.
"Could they be so major leaders?" Thinking this caused a change in his expression, finally recalling where he’d seen these people — they often appeared on TV.
This realization almost made him exclaim; heavens, these people had actually arrived here, for reasons unknown, explaining why his commander ignored him.
"It’s inside here, shall I bring him out?" Rumus suggested standing by the dungeon’s door.
The local highest commander chuckled and said, "Inside is dark and damp; bringing him out is better."
Number one looked into the dungeon and also nodded, "Alright, we’ll wait here."
Only then did Rumus breathe a sigh of relief, jogging inside; thankfully these people weren’t entering, otherwise trouble lood.
Rushing into the interrogation room, Xiang Yu remained hung there, surrounded by guards with guns.
Upon seeing Rumus rushing in, they were sowhat surprised.
Rumus was the head here, yet today seed hurried.
"You there, you two, hurry and get him down," Rumus gasped.
Being the highest commander here, constantly busy with engagents or office work, he hadn’t exercised in a long ti.
His rush over left him sowhat breathless.
Those around didn’t grasp his intentions, staring blankly.
"Hurry, release him; did you not understand what I’m saying?" Rumus gasped heavily.
"Commander, but this person..."
The prison warden started to say, but Rumus couldn’t wait, going over to untie the ropes himself.
Xiang Yu noticed Rumus’s urgency, unsure what was happening, but understanding it wasn’t minor given the rush.
Rumus tried untying the rope binding his hands, but Xiang Yu stepped back half a step, using his body to push Rumus away.
"I’m not leaving; I just want to hang here. To be honest, hanging here daily, my back doesn’t hurt and my legs aren’t sore; I’ve got energy for als too," Xiang Yu rambled.
Rumus was nearly frantic, declaring, "You guys, hurry up!"
