C11 – Wen Huaimu Is too Powerful

Finally, the off-road vehicle ca to a halt on another street.

The bearded man paid no attention to Wen Huaimu as he stepped out of the vehicle.

Curious, Wen Huaimu rolled down his window for a better look.

Another Toyota sedan was parked on the narrow street, flanked by two n in black suits.

As the bearded man approached, one of the suited n stepped aside. The Toyota’s window slid down, revealing the upper half of a middle-aged man’s head.

His hair was impeccably combed, and the sunglasses he wore lent him an air of gravitas.

Upon nearing, the bearded man greeted him with a smile, “Mr. Huan.”

“A Votroecorian, no less!”

Wen Huaimu’s gaze sharpened as his enhanced eyes and ears closely monitored the unfolding scene.

“How’s it going?” inquired the middle-aged man.

“Flawlessly,” the bearded man reported. “The chairman of the company has been eliminated, and we’ve successfully pinned it on Yao Hu. By now, everyone’s likely suspecting a covert feud between Mu Shuxin and Yao Hu. All that’s left is to sit back and reap the benefits.”

“Well done,” the middle-aged man said, his smile reflecting his satisfaction. He then addressed the bearded man, “Chen Jun, you’ve also excelled. If this operation is a success, you’ll beco the Howlingswords’ representative in Anbury.”

“Your ntorship is invaluable. I am wholeheartedly committed to the Howlingswords!” The bearded man’s face lit up with excitent, and he promptly bowed in gratitude.

“You’ve earned your reward. Keep up the good work. I must be off now.” Pleased with the bearded man’s deanor, the middle-aged man gave a nod and raised the car window. The suited n swiftly got back into their vehicle, the engine roared to life, and they vanished into the cityscape.

Once the Toyota was gone, a smug grin spread across the bearded man’s face. “Yao Hu, Mu Shuxin, it seems I’m destined to rise above you and beco the true king. Heh, sothing you’ll never see coming.”

Wen Huaimu watched the scene unfold with astonishnt, then quietly rolled up his window, deep in thought about his next move.

What enraged Wen Huaimu most was the realization that this despicable man had conspired with a Votroecorian!

Wen Huaimu harbored no fondness for the Votroecorians, especially since their mafia had sched against Huaxia City, seeking to exploit it. He considered Votroecorians to be the most malevolent people, and he was determined not to let them prevail.

With this in mind, Wen Huaimu started to contemplate his next move.

The off-road vehicle vanished from the street corner once more. Half an hour later, it pulled into the yard of a rundown scrapyard.

“Here we are. Ti to hop out, kid,” said the bearded man, grinning.

Wen Huaimu complied and exited the vehicle without protest.

The scrapyard, despite its sign suggesting active business, was clearly long neglected, evidently serving as the bearded man’s hideout.

The bearded man draped a tarp over the off-road vehicle before ushering Wen Huaimu into the scrapyard’s inner chambers.

The building was an unadorned, small structure littered with discarded refuse and featured a wooden bedstead near a petite iron door.

Upon entering, the bearded man gave Wen Huaimu a hefty smack on the rear and sauntered towards the bed with a nacing chuckle.

Rubbing his buttocks, Wen Huaimu spoke up, “You’re all safe now. Can I go?”

“Let you go?” The bearded man paused, then burst into laughter. “Once you’re in my grasp, escape is futile. What’s more, you’ve piqued my interest.”

“So, you’re saying you won’t release ?” Wen Huaimu inquired, his tone even.

“That’s right. As of this mont, you’re mine. Let’s start with a drink, and then I’ll ensure your comfort,” Chen ng said, pulling a case of beer from beneath the bed, his laughter echoing.

“Hmph, you think I have to obey you? We’re at a stalemate; I’m not intimidated,” Wen Huaimu retorted with scorn, adopting an arrogant deanor to bewilder the bearded man.

“Ha! How amusing! I’ve encountered many a fine young man, but none as fiery as you. Show how fearless you truly are,” Chen ng said, setting aside the beer bottle.

Wen Huaimu muttered a curse under his breath, yet his mind was focused on the incantation the elfin had given him. Drawing upon the magic shared by the elfin, he began to summon the wind elent.

“O endless wind elent, heed my call, and form the blade of the wind.”

He extended a hand stealthily, as magic swirled rapidly around his palm. It swiftly morphed into strands of the wind elent, spinning between his fingers, conjuring three small, invisible wind blades.

The man with the beard touched his ear, only to freeze in shock—his palm was sared with blood!

And the pain that shot through his ear when he touched it was excruciating.

“Ah! That hurts!” The bearded man clutched his ear and turned to look, finding an ear lying silently on the bed.

“What in the world? My ear! How did my ear just fall off?”

Wen Huaimu couldn’t help but feel a surge of satisfaction at the sight of the bearded man’s severed ear. This was the price for abducting , he thought. And the consequences would only worsen from here.

With another tremor of his palm, Wen Huaimu unleashed another wind blade.

As the blade sliced through the air, the bearded man felt a sudden coldness on his other ear, followed by a searing pain. Twisting around, he saw half of his ear on the ground!

The man’s face drained of color. Had he encountered a ghost?

“Now you understand, don’t you?” Wen Huaimu said with a smug grin.

“It was you! You’re behind this!” The bearded man spun around, his face contorted with rage as he stared at Wen Huaimu.

“Indeed, it was . And what can you do about it? Can you harm ?” Wen Huaimu taunted, his triumph sending the elfin in the molding space into a frenzy.

“Yes, slash him, keep slashing, cut off his nose, gouge out his eyes.”

Hearing this, Wen Huaimu was at a loss for words. Weren’t elfins supposed to cherish life and adore peace? Why did she seem so bloodthirsty?
