Chapter 82 - One of the Privileges

After Ye Hao climbed into the military vehicle, he inquired, “Which division are you with?”

“The Martial Arts Bureau.”

“And who are you taking to et?”

“The head of the Martial Arts Bureau in Glento City.”

Glento City is Castoace's economic powerhouse and most populous urban center.

Hence, the establishnt of a Martial Arts Bureau branch there was only to be expected.

What caught Ye Hao off guard was the Bureau's location within the military district.

The young man escorted Ye Hao through the military district until they reached a formidable gate.

“Without proper identification, ordinary people can't get in here, and even within the military district, the Martial Arts Bureau isn't accessible at will,” the young man explained before stepping out of the vehicle.

Ye Hao followed him to the entrance.

The guards scrutinized the young man's credentials and logged Ye Hao's ID before granting them entry.

It wasn't long before Ye Hao and the young man entered an office building.

“This is our office,” the young man said, gesturing towards the building.

As they stepped through the entrance, Ye Hao sensed a surge of energy aid at his chest.

His reaction was lightning-fast. He seized the assailant's wrist and counterattacked, targeting the chest.

With a thud, the figure tumbled backward like a paper kite, causing a stir among the onlookers.

”Not even Luo Badao can stand against him.”

“He must be at least at the middle tier of the eight-star level.”

“He took down Luo Badao with such ease. He could very well be at the upper tier of the eight-star.”

While the Martial Arts Bureau mbers were abuzz with comntary, Luo Badao got to his feet. As he made to charge at Ye Hao, his face paled, and he coughed up blood.

“If you make another move, the consequences will be dire,” Ye Hao warned Luo Badao with a calm deanor.

Luo Badao had the look of a troublemaker.

He was not only bald but also covered in tattoos.

Suddenly, several figures appeared beside Ye Hao.

“Sir, that was quite severe. He rely wanted to test his skills against yours.”

“Did he announce his intentions before striking?” Ye Hao retorted with a cold laugh, “Had I not been prepared, his punch could have done so real damage.”

The team mbers were at a loss for words.

Yet, they weren't about to let Ye Hao assault their comrade without fighting back.

“We've offended you.”

With that, the four mbers simultaneously launched an attack on Ye Hao.

“Scram.”

Ye Hao's voice bood like thunder.

In an instant, a formidable power shrouded the four mbers, overwhelming them.

To their eyes, Ye Hao transford into an imposing Divine Dragon.

The intense ntal assault caused the four to spit blood and stumble backward.

The crowd was astounded.

The team mber who had escorted Ye Hao remarked in shock, “That's a psychic attack.”

It was common knowledge that only soone with very high cultivation could execute such a move.

The faces of the four team mbers were etched with terror as they exclaid, “You've attained the Innate Realm.”

Only a master of the Innate Realm could wield such power.

Ignoring the astonishnt around him, Ye Hao looked up to the second floor and called out, “Have you watched enough?”

At the end of his words, a lodious voice responded, “Ye Hao, let's have a talk.”

Ye Hao soared up and landed on the second floor, then pushed open the door before him.

The next mont, Ye Hao was facing a strikingly beautiful woman with pale skin, her long legs casually draped over the table.

“Don't you think that posture could damage your image?” Ye Hao said as he pulled out a chair and sat down across from the woman.

“It's none of your concern,” Shao Hua retorted, lighting a cigarette. “Care for one?”

“No, thanks.”

Shao Hua inhaled deeply and then asked, “Can you tell how you ended up unconscious?”

“It's better if you stop prying into that,” Ye Hao replied with a slight smile.

“Why?” Shao Hua's gaze sharpened.

“Because you'll never figure it out,” Ye Hao said, eyeing Shao Hua's legs. “You must be at least 5.7 inches tall, right?”

“I'm 5.7 feet.”

“That explains why I thought you were quite tall.” Ye Hao himself was only 5.8 feet tall.

“Any interest in joining the Martial Arts Bureau?”

“None whatsoever.”

“Don't you want to know the benefits of joining the Martial Arts Bureau?”

“I'm not interested.”

“Bai Ruo was injured by you. Do you really think he'll let that slide?”

“You seem to be quite well-inford.”

“The Martial Arts Bureau only deals with the most direct sources of information.”

“Give Bai Ruo's address.”

“If you want his address, you'll need to offer sothing in return.”

“I'll assist you once.”

“Make it three tis. Otherwise, we have nothing to discuss,” Shao Hua declared, confident that Ye Hao would acquiesce.

But to her astonishnt, Ye Hao rose to his feet and walked away.

Shao Hua refrained from calling after him imdiately.

She waited, expecting him to look back.

Yet even as Ye Hao passed through the doorway, he never once glanced back.

“Co back here,” Shao Hua demanded, her irritation palpable.

But Ye Hao didn't so much as pause.

“Once,” Shao Hua conceded through clenched teeth.

In an instant, Ye Hao reappeared before Shao Hua.

“Don't get caught by again,” Shao Hua warned him, seething.

“The likelihood of that is virtually nonexistent,” Ye Hao replied, his smile unwavering. “If I may be so bold, what is your level of cultivation?”

“I'm not going to tell you.”

“I can't discern your level, but I'd wager you're at least in the middle or late stages of Innate. A cultivator with such prowess is usually in their thirties or forties, aren't they?” Ye Hao observed. “I must say, you've taken excellent care of yourself.”

“Shut it,” Shao Hua snapped, flicking her cigarette at Ye Hao.

Propelled by her vital spirit, the cigarette flew like a bullet.

Ye Hao imdiately used his ability to decelerate the object's speed.

Still, he barely managed to catch the cigarette, and in the next mont, his fingertips began to emit plus of green smoke. Ye Hao hastily flung the cigarette away.

He noticed the charred flesh between his fingers.

“That was rather rciless of you.”

“Bla your own loose tongue,” Shao Hua retorted, clearly displeased. “For your information, I'm only 21 years old.”

“Then give Bai Ruo's address.”

“When you're ready to confront Bai Ruo, get in touch with . I'll arrange for soone to accompany you.”

“Bai Ruo is an Innate master. Why haven't you tried to recruit him?”

“Innate masters certainly possess certain privileges, but that doesn't give them the right to take lives indiscriminately.”

“Could you explain the privileges of Innate masters to ?”

“One of the privileges of an Innate master is that if they are provoked or threatened, they have the authority to kill the aggressor.” Shao Hua handed Ye Hao a docunt as she spoke.

“Major General.” Ye Hao murmured upon noticing the military rank on the docunt.

In Ubliasia, a general ranks among the upper echelons of military leadership.

“Our identities remain confidential. This represents our secular identity,” Shao Hua stated calmly. “This docunt will greatly facilitate your affairs.”
