Chapter 105 - Excessive Defense
No sooner had Lin Rou'er finished speaking than a middle-aged man chid in, “Vluwno Group's stock has dropped two points in just three days. I believe we're all aware of the specific reasons.”
“I'm not interested in the power struggles among Vluwno's executives, but when it starts to affect the company's bottom line, it becos my concern.”
“I propose we remove the ineffectual individuals from the company's executive team.” Several shareholders who were on good terms with Lin Rou'er quickly voiced their support for her.
“What did you say?” The third shareholder's comnt enraged Lin Rou'er's third aunt, who abruptly stood up and glared at him.
The third shareholder smirked with contempt, “Zhang Yufeng, you set up a shell company six months ago and promptly leveraged your connections to secure two group projects, netting a profit of eight million.”
“Are you accusing ?” Zhang Yufeng shrieked as all the senior executives turned their gaze upon her.
“The Auditing Office will be discussing the matter with you. I've already reported the issue to the police,” the third shareholder stated calmly. “I hope you can maintain that bold deanor when you're facing the authorities.”
“What?” Zhang Yufeng's face went through a series of rapid changes.
At that mont, everyone observing Zhang Yufeng's reaction was nearly certain of the truth of the allegations.
“I will continue to monitor this situation closely.”
“I absolutely will not tolerate anyone exploiting the company for personal gain.”
“Anyone implicated in this affair will face consequences.”
As one shareholder after another took a stand, Zhang Yufeng's complexion turned ashen.

Lin Qiuyue hesitated briefly before sitting back down, aware of her actions.
”The role of Xiong Zhan, head of the third accounting division, will be terminated.”
“The role of Zhu Hong, head of the fourth cafeteria division, will be terminated.”
Lin Rou'er decisively stripped eight senior mbers of the Lin family of their positions.
Truthfully, Lin Rou'er had considered removing all the senior positions within the Lin family, but that would have plunged the Vluwno Group into chaos. Consequently, she only dismissed the eight top-ranking mbers for now.
She would have plenty of ti to address them in the future.
Acting hastily now could easily lead to complications.
At that mont, the sound of a heated argunt echoed from the entrance.
Suddenly, the door was flung open with a mighty kick. A middle-aged man reeking of alcohol staggered in, his eyes bloodshot as he glared at Lin Rou'er and declared, “I've heard you're taking your third aunt's case to the Audit Office.”
“Correct.”
“I'll beat you to death, you scoundrel!” Lin Gaolin lashed out, aiming a slap at Lin Rou'er's face.
A collective gasp rose from the onlookers.
Just as Lin Gaolin's hand neared Lin Rou'er's face, a figure darted in, and a not particularly muscular hand intercepted Lin Gaolin's wrist.
Upon realizing he was thwarted by a seemingly average young man, Lin Gaolin exploded with rage, “Who the hell are you? You dare to block ?”
Lin Gaolin was taken aback.
Ye Hao struck Lin Gaolin once more, swelling the other side of his face.
“Say that again.”
“You think I won't?” Lin Gaolin barely got the words out when Ye Hao slapped him yet again. Two teeth, now bloodied, tumbled out.
“Speak,” Ye Hao demanded, his tone icy as he fixed his gaze on Lin Gaolin.
Just as Lin Gaolin was about to speak, Ye Hao slapped him once more.
“Stop it.”
Zhang Yufeng, seeing her husband being hit, stood up and charged at Ye Hao.
Ye Hao, however, paid no attention to Zhang Yufeng. His gaze was fixed on Lin Gaolin as he continued to slap him repeatedly. After Ye Hao had slapped Lin Gaolin over a dozen tis, Zhang Yufeng managed to get in front of Ye Hao.
Ye Hao dragged Lin Gaolin aside and persisted in slapping his face.
Zhang Yufeng was unable to penetrate Ye Hao's defenses and could only watch helplessly as her husband was slapped.
“Stop,” a middle-aged man commanded in a stern voice.
Without glancing at the man, Ye Hao kept his focus on Lin Gaolin and demanded, “Repeat what you just said.”
“I wouldn't dare,” Lin Gaolin admitted. Even he understood that the young man's continued slapping was a consequence of his swearing in the young man's presence.
With a flick of his wrist, Ye Hao tossed Lin Gaolin aside.
“How dare you swear in front of .”
Zhang Yufeng swiftly caught Lin Gaolin, whose face was now severely swollen.
“Call the police imdiately. We must bring this brute to justice,” Zhang Yufeng bellowed at Ye Hao.
“I witnessed Lin Gaolin attempting to assault the general manager,” a shareholder interjected.
“Thank goodness the bodyguard intervened; otherwise, the outco could have been dire,” another shareholder concurred.
“Regardless of Gaolin's fault, the beating he received was excessive,” Lin Gaofeng stated gravely. “This has exceeded the bounds of self-defense.”
“Exactly. Call the police,” Lin Gaoxiong agreed, nodding.
Both n harbored grudges against Ye Hao and seized this opportunity for retribution.
As Lin Rou'er was about to speak, Ye Hao gently pressed on her shoulder.
“Let them call the police.”
Lin Rou'er certainly had her own connections, but so did the Lin family.
In such a situation, the police would have to act impartially. If it ca to that, Ye Hao would end up behind bars.
Roughly fifteen minutes later, the Deputy Chief of the Public Security Bureau arrived at Vluwno Group with his team in tow.
“Deputy Chief Zhang, please help arrest this individual,” Lin Gaolin pleaded, his voice tinged with distress as he clutched his swollen face.
Zhang Cheng looked at Lin Gaolin with astonishnt.
He thought to himself, “That was excessively harsh!”
His gaze then shifted to the person Lin Gaolin was pointing at.
“It's Ye Hao!” Zhang Cheng realized in surprise.
Once Ye Hao had joined the Martial Arts Bureau, Zhang Cheng beca aware of his identity.
To be a major general at such a young age was no small feat!
Zhang Cheng understood that this was rely the tip of the iceberg concerning Ye Hao's identity. Ye Hao was in fact serving the enigmatic Martial Arts Bureau. The Lin family was in no position to cross him.
