After a mont of brief silence, the girl who had earlier asked Chu Ge three questions on behalf of Qin Ruojing broke the silence with a smile.

"It seems that our groom and his friends are a bit confused today. So friends who are not aware of the situation might be wondering if they're seeing things, and are puzzled, 'Hey? How co there are two brides here?'

As soon as this girl spoke, everyone's eyes were drawn to her. She smiled and waited a few seconds before explaining.

"That's because our bride today has an identical twin sister. As their classmate for over a decade, I still can't tell them apart, which shows just how strikingly similar they are."

After finishing, the girl turned her gaze to Chu Ge.

"I can't tell them apart, but I believe that our groom can definitely recognize who exactly is his bride. How about a round of applause for our groom, so he can take a good look and figure out who is his bride today?"

As soon as the girl's voice fell, applause, cheers, and jeers erupted imdiately.

Hearing the voices around him, Chu Ge's feelings were actually mixed. He felt a bit amused, yet sowhat proud, and also a little guilty.

Because whether it's the elder sister, Qin Ruojing, or the younger sister, Qin Ruoying, they are both his brides today, and what he now has to do is distinguish Qin Ruojing from the twins, which seems a bit unfair to Qin Ruoying.

But since things have co to this point, Chu Ge had no choice but to proceed.

Directly approaching the bed, Chu Ge showed a smile that the sisters would surely understand, then without hesitation, took the hand of the woman on the left.

"It seems like our groom has an answer. Now, I would like to ask the groom, are you sure the person you are holding hands with today is your bride, Qin Ruojing?"

Chu Ge nodded without hesitation, "Yes, I am sure."

"But I noticed that you didn't even take a careful look, you made your decision without a second thought. Are you that confident you won't make a mistake?"

Chu Ge continued to smile confidently, "Yes, I am sure."

"So... is our groom's judgent correct?"

The girl chuckled and after keeping everyone in suspense, she continued once the room beca so quiet you could hear a pin drop: "Now, I announce our groom's choice is..."

This girl clearly knew how to play with the atmosphere. When she reached this point, she dragged out the word "is" for a long ti, then suddenly chuckled and spread her hands helplessly.

"To be honest, I don't know if it's right or wrong. These two are just too alike for to distinguish, so let's leave the answer to this question to our real bride."

Qin Ruojing smiled slightly, "He got it right, it's indeed ."

With Qin Ruojing's confirmation, everyone in the room imdiately gasped in amazent.

So people were genuinely astonished, because no matter how they looked—up, down, left, or right—they couldn't see any differences between Qin Ruojing and Qin Ruoying.

Others were simply playing along, joining in the fun. They figured Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing must have arranged this part in advance, otherwise, how awkward would it be if the groom didn't recognize his bride at such a crucial mont?

If those with such thoughts realized that Chu Ge actually had no idea this would happen until the mont arrived, they would genuinely be amazed too.

Before this long seven-day-and-night coma, it was indeed difficult for Chu Ge to tell the sisters apart, and he often made jokes about it, but since he woke up this ti, he could instantly tell who was Qin Ruojing and who was Qin Ruoying.

After identifying the bride, Qin Ruojing's friends posed so challenges for Chu Ge. After he handled them one by one, it was ti to find the shoes.

The first shoe was easy to find, behind the curtains, but finding the second shoe took Chu Ge a bit more effort; it was actually worn on Qin Ruoying's foot.

Such an arrangent seed like a deliberate tease and challenge for Chu Ge, but what was really going on was known only to Chu Ge and the sisters.

Personally helping Qin Ruojing put on the two red wedding shoes, Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing completed so couple-interaction gas here, and then he left the hotel with Qin Ruojing, got into the wedding car, and returned to Qin Ruojing's family ho.

The wedding car arrived at Qin Yan's neighborhood at the scheduled ti. Qin Yan stood by the window, looking outside. His feelings were incredibly complex, a mix of the sadness and reluctance of a father seeing his daughter getting married, and the joy for her having found her happiness.

As he waited, Qin Yan saw the lead car surrounded by four Porsche Cayennes and was slightly taken aback. When did he hear about there being four Cayennes in the convoy?

Even if he didn't want to keep a low profile, having the convoy like that… wasn't it a bit too ostentatious?

Downstairs at Qin Yan's building, a middle-aged couple also focused their attention on the returning convoy. They were Qin Yan's forr superior, Pan Dongren, Deputy Director of the City Public Security Bureau, and his wife, Yao Hongi.

"Old Pan, do you think Qin Yan is asking for trouble? With the whole nation advocating against corruption and extravagance, even the smallest officials are avoiding throwing events like weddings or funerals for fear of scrutiny. Yet here he is, a captain of the detective squad, being so showy. Isn't he a bit too much?"

The couple stood sowhat off to the side, with no one else around. Yao Hongi glanced at the four Cayennes and grumbled angrily.

Pan Dongren nodded, "Comrade Qin Yan is indeed being a bit ostentatious."

Yao Hongi was waiting for Pan Dongren to say more, but after a long wait, she realized he had nothing else to add. She glanced at him discontentedly.

"Old Pan, look at how smug Qin Yan is. Don't you have any thoughts? Back when Qin Yan was just a detective, he often disregarded you, openly defying you ti and again. Now that he's beco the captain, he cares even less about you. Did you see his attitude when we went up there just now? He didn't even offer us a cup of water. I'm still upset about it!"

Yao Hongi grumbled on and on, while Pan Dongren just kept smiling without saying anything, making Yao Hongi even more dissatisfied. "Old Pan, say sothing! Why do you look like you're not bothered at all?"

Pan Dongren took a leisurely puff of his cigarette, exhaled slowly, and said, "In life, it's better to keep a low profile. Let's just watch from the sidelines. Who can guarantee that Comrade Qin Yan being so flashy won't bring any trouble? Right?"

Yao Hongi was taken aback, looked at her husband's confident smile, and after a few monts, her mouth curved into a smile as well.

"Old Pan, are you trying to gloss over things with ? Do you have so plan you're not telling ?"

Pan Dongren took another puff of his cigarette, smiled faintly, and didn't give a direct answer.

During these brief exchanges between Pan Dongren and Yao Hongi, Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing had already gotten out of the car and returned to Qin Yan's ho.

Qin Yan and his wife were dressed formally today, having grood themselves ticulously from head to toe. The couple was already quite good-looking, which is why they have such beautiful daughters. With their dress-up, it's no exaggeration to say they looked at least five or six years younger than usual today.

Even though Qin's mother still had so reservations about this marriage, this was, after all, her daughter's firm decision. What could she say now? Moreover, she couldn't refute the words from her daughter and Chu Ge, so she could only offer them her blessings.

In truth, in matters of marrying off a daughter, no matter how outstanding the son-in-law is, many parents still feel uneasy.

To use a perhaps not-so-elegant analogy.

When the groom's family marries off a bride, it feels like the pig they raised is finally rooting in the cabbage—such an achievent!

However, when the bride's family marries off their daughter, they think about how the little cabbage they painstakingly grew is just rooted by a pig?

At Qin Yan's ho, Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing offered tea to the elderly couple, and then Chu Ge finally addressed Qin Yan as "Dad."

Chu Ge once thought saying this word would feel awkward coming out of his mouth. However, the truth was that when Qin Yan drank the tea Chu Ge offered and he said the word, it felt completely natural, as if it was the most logical thing in the world.

Honestly, at that mont, he was puzzled. He didn't understand why he could say the word so calmly, but when he saw Qin Yan's genuinely pleased smile, and accepted the red envelope Qin Yan handed over, he suddenly understood.

In his heart, perhaps the image of a father should be like Qin Yan?

Stern, yet not lacking love, occasionally a bit stubborn, but all along expressing inner changes through actions rather than words. For instance, when Chu Ge once denied Qin Yan's attitude towards family, even though Qin Yan didn't say much, didn't he still quietly and thoughtfully bring gifts for every family mber?

Of course, that's just one aspect. Chu Ge felt that what mattered more was becoming family with Qin Ruojing. Since they were to walk together, supporting each other, her father should naturally be his father. There should be no hesitation in this regard.

After calling him "Dad," Chu Ge turned his gaze to Qin's mother, who was also looking at him, holding the cup of tea he offered. As they exchanged glances, her eyes seed to waver slightly.

Seeing Qin's mother's hesitancy, Chu Ge's heart began to beat faster, and even Qin Ruojing couldn't help but feel nervous.
