When Mo Xiaoran stood up from the sofa, everyone in the dance floor couldn't help but glance sideways in her direction and Chu Ge's, their eyes filled with envy.

After all, being invited by such a shy girl like Mo Xiaoran was an extrely rare occurrence.

The n naturally envied Chu Ge, while the girls envied Mo Xiaoran, as they too wanted to dance with Chu Ge. But since it was rare for Mo Xiaoran to take the initiative, they felt embarrassed to cut in front of her.

Amidst all the envious glances, unexpectedly, Chu Ge smiled and shook his head, "Xiaoran, sorry, I don't know how to dance this kind of dance."

While the two were speaking, due to the distance and the music in the room, others could barely hear what they were saying, but from their gestures and expressions, it was clear that Chu Ge had rejected Mo Xiaoran's invitation.

This scene left several n with an almost overwhelming urge to pound their chests in frustration. They couldn't understand what on earth Chu Ge was thinking?

Oh my! It's already impressive that you didn't initiate with Mo Xiaoran, but for her to take the initiative to invite you and you still refuse? How could you even open your mouth to reject?

That's Mo Xiaoran! The most beautiful, graceful, and shy Mo Xiaoran among all the girls present!

The n couldn't comprehend the situation before them, while the girls were filled with mixed thoughts, especially the single ones who felt both sorry for Mo Xiaoran and sowhat thrilled.

It seed like Chu Ge wasn't interested in Mo Xiaoran? So, does that an they have a chance?

However, just as this thrill surfaced in their hearts, it was quickly replaced by self-mockery and disappointnt. If Chu Ge wasn't interested in Mo Xiaoran, who was superior in both looks and temperant, how could they, being inferior, win his favor?

Sigh... What exactly was Chu Ge thinking? Even if he wasn't interested in Mo Xiaoran, they were colleagues; couldn't they just have a dance together?

For a mont, the n and won in the dance floor, absorbed in their own thoughts, beca distracted, causing several to step on each other's feet. However, those who were stepped on were unusually taciturn and didn't voice any complaints, instead tacitly pricking up their ears.

Under everyone's attention, when Mo Xiaoran heard Chu Ge say such things, her nervousness and anticipation instantly turned to disappointnt. She forced a smile, pursed her lips, and continued, "Actually, actually this dance is very simple, even soone as clumsy as can do it. How about, how about I teach you?"

Chu Ge still shook his head, smiling, "I really can't. Your shoes are so pretty, if I step on them and dirty or damage them, a poor guy like couldn't compensate."

Once Chu Ge said this, Mo Xiaoran's heart sank deeper into disappointnt, feeling an urge to cry as she bit her lip and slowly sat back down on the sofa, staring absent-mindedly at her shoes.

They were a pair of small-heeled sandals with laces that exposed half of the foot, the white leather toe revealing pearl-like toes, and the black slender straps crossed and bound her fair ankles.

This pair of shoes was originally her favorite and most expensive, yet now she felt an impulse to take them off imdiately and throw them out the window.

This sight truly evoked compassion from several n on the dance floor, feeling that Chu Ge was utterly clueless about romance.

If it weren't Chu Ge next to Mo Xiaoran, they would certainly have gone over in a gentlemanly manner, told a few jokes to cheer her up, and then invited her for a dance.

In fact, since everyone could easily see through Mo Xiaoran's feelings, how could Chu Ge not know what she was thinking?

It's just that Chu Ge didn't want Mo Xiaoran to develop any ideas about him. Even though he was sowhat unwilling, he had no choice but to do so.

After all, he wasn't ready to develop any romantic relationships with any woman for the ti being. If he gave Mo Xiaoran hope, it would only lead to greater disappointnt and sadness for her, which would be even more unfair.

In Chu Ge's view, even if Mo Xiaoran had so feelings for him, it was rely because he had helped her solve a couple of issues before, causing this simple and shy girl to overthink and unconsciously amplify that little fondness.

Chu Ge believed that as long as he cooled things down a bit, this girl would realize that it was not so-called love at all, and that little bit of girlish sentint would gradually fade away. Therefore, refusing Mo Xiaoran's invitation was the best choice for him now.

As a gentle dance piece finished playing, Ji Songtao saw Chu Ge seed to have lost interest in staying longer and tactfully suggested, "It's getting late. We all have to work tomorrow, so why don't we head back?"

Although he was asking everyone's opinion, Ji Songtao's gaze specifically glanced at Chu Ge, albeit not as obviously as Lu Gang did.

Seeing everyone subconsciously turn their gaze towards him again, Chu Ge smiled, "How about this, those who want to stay and play a bit longer can do so, those who want to go ho can leave first. I'm a bit tired, so I won't accompany everyone. I hope you don't mind."

After Chu Ge finished speaking, the entire Operation Managent Departnt expressed their intention to leave with him. Even though they found it rare to enjoy themselves in such a place, they felt there was no point if Chu Ge wasn't around.

The remaining few people also stood up from the sofa, indicating they would leave with the group, as they certainly weren't Chu Ge and didn't have much confidence staying in such a place.

Chu Ge smiled again and exchanged a few pleasantries. When everyone else indicated that they had a good ti and really wanted to go ho, he nodded, his expression slightly more serious, and said, "By the way, there's sothing I need to trouble everyone with."

Even though Chu Ge's tone was still easygoing, everyone instinctively quieted down, adopting a pose of eager attention, especially those not from the Operation Managent Departnt, who felt a bit nervous because of the word "trouble" he used.

"We're all on the sa side, so I'll speak plainly. I hope that after tonight, we will continue as usual in the company, as if what happened with Young Master Jiang never occurred. Can everyone help with this favor?"

The people from outside the Operation Managent Departnt hurriedly nodded in agreent, showing both solemnity and humility, as if they were eager to express loyalty with a few more words.

Compared to the outsiders, the girls from the Operation Managent Departnt were much more casual.

Feifei chuckled, teasing, "Young Master Chu, that depends on your performance. I rember the dried fruits you brought us last ti were nice. If you bring us another bag tomorrow and bribe us properly, we'll reluctantly agree. What do you think?"

The girls burst into laughter together, and this scene left the few outsiders dumbfounded.

Chu Ge, feeling quite speechless, rubbed his nose, "Co on, those things are expensive. How did I end up with colleagues like you bloodsuckers, trying to squeeze dry?"

Upon hearing Chu Ge say this, the girls couldn't help but laugh aloud.

"Young Master Chu, stop ssing around, will you?"

"Exactly, since Young Master Jiang is so respectful to you, what's a bag of dried fruits, right?"

"Hmm... don't worry, we won't be too demanding. Just bring us ten pounds of pistachios tomorrow, that's all. For Young Master Chu, this is surely a small favor, right?"

"Yeah, yeah, and if besides the ten pounds of pistachios, Young Master Chu could get us so ice cream, chocolate, cream puffs or whatever, that would be even better."

Chu Ge was even more speechless, although he appreciated the relaxed atmosphere among colleagues, he felt this level of casualness was a bit excessive.

Not responding further to this sowhat speechless conversation, Chu Ge smiled and walked towards the compartnt door. Lu Gang hurriedly scurried over, like a doorman, to open the door for him.

Watching Lu Gang eagerly flattering Chu Ge, Ji Songtao felt quite envious. If he weren't concerned about his identity as the head of the Operation Managent Departnt, he would've wanted to be like Lu Gang, dutifully assisting Chu Ge as a reliable subordinate.

After all, even though it might seem undignified, it essentially allowed him to subtly close the gap with Chu Ge.

Ji Songtao had no doubt that if Lu Gang ever encountered any trouble in the future, given Chu Ge's character, he would never stand idly by.

This ant that none of Lu Gang's actions would be in vain, as Chu Ge would beco his powerful and reliable support!

"Hmm... seems like I need to ponder carefully on how to close the gap with Chu Ge," Ji Songtao mused silently, following behind Chu Ge.

The group took the elevator downstairs, where Liu Weijiang and the lobby manager, who had been waiting for a long ti, imdiately stood up from the sofa.

Very humbly approaching Chu Ge, Liu Weijiang asked, "Young Master Chu, coming down so early? Is there any dissatisfaction with the service here?"

The lobby manager's heart skipped a beat, fearing Chu Ge might actually point out so issues, and quickly looked over anxiously.

Under Liu Weijiang and the lobby manager's apprehensive gazes, Chu Ge kept walking, shaking his head, "No, everything's fine. Just go about your business."

Liu Weijiang and the lobby manager both breathed a sigh of relief, though they didn't leave right away. Instead, they eagerly followed behind Chu Ge, escorting him out of the Roman Holiday's doors to a few luxury cars that were ready to drive Chu Ge and the others ho.

Helping Chu Ge open the door to a rcedes, Liu Weijiang hesitated for a long ti, finally asking once more, "Young Master Chu, were you satisfied with your ti today?"

"It was alright. I'd be more satisfied if you stopped hovering around ."

"Well... if you're satisfied, and if your anger has subsided, would it trouble you to call... the Crown Prince?"

Liu Weijiang finally asked this question, putting on a sheepish grin and looking at Chu Ge expectantly.
