Opening the car door, Chu Ge was just about to step out when his left hand was grabbed by Chen Jiatong.

Turning his head, he saw that bright and beautiful face with a gentle smile, "Young Master Chu, take the umbrella."

"Thanks." Taking the folding umbrella handed over by Chen Jiatong with her other hand, Chu Ge smiled back and reminded Xu Jingyuan, "Drive safe," before getting out of the car.

One had to say, these two won were really considerate, neither saying anything to keep him nor suggesting to see him off.

As soon as he stepped out of the car, Chu Ge felt a chill in the air. It's often said that an autumn rain brings coldness, and this year's first autumn rain had already brought a noticeable drop in temperature.

Even though Xu Jingyuan's parking spot was only a few steps away from a sheltering eave, in those few steps, Chu Ge got quite wet from the rain—it was really pouring.

Chu Ge's luck wasn't too bad, as he managed to hail a taxi after standing by the roadside for just a mont. Getting inside, he reported the address of the park closest to Tianjiao Building.

What Tong Yaqi could think of, he could think of as well.

As the taxi arrived at the park entrance, he indeed saw Qin Ruojing's Audi A8 parked in the lot, feeling both relieved and a surge of anger.

On such a rainy day, why leave a cozy office and insist on coming out to swing? What on earth is this woman up to? Was she kicked in the head by a donkey? She's got so nerve!

Chu Ge thought angrily but didn't realize that he could have chosen to go to Chen Jiatong's fragrant boudoir, enjoying a warm and comfortable environnt and having so fun with two beauties. Yet, he insisted on coming here. By his own logic, he too seed to have been kicked in the head by a donkey.

"Buddy, are you getting out or what?" The taxi driver saw Chu Ge showing no intention of moving and urged him.

Chu Ge hesitated whether to get out; his hand was already on the door handle when he suddenly saw a white Chevrolet drive over. Tong Yaqi then got out, took an umbrella, and ran into the park.

Chu Ge decided not to get out for now and to wait and see.

He wasn't only angry now but also feeling a bit peevish. Qin Ruojing showed no intention of paying him any mind. If he responded imdiately to every hint of commotion, without her having to call or command, showing up at her side—it was a bit too degrading, wasn't it?

He hadn't done anything wrong. Why was Qin Ruojing giving him the cold shoulder and attitude?

Did she really think he, Chu Ge, had no temper?

What infuriated Chu Ge even more was that Qin Ruojing went out to swing but could call Tong Yaqi and didn't bother to call him. Where did she place him in her life?

He abandoned the chance to be with two beauties, Chen Jiatong and Xu Jingyuan, to rush to this park entrance. Wasn't it a bit inexplicable and not worth it?

At this mont, Chu Ge was nothing like his usual cheerful self; his expression was as gloomy as the damn weather.

"Buddy, I asked if you're getting out?"

Chu Ge was fuming, and the taxi driver urged him again, with clear resentnt and dissatisfaction in his tone.

"No." Chu Ge replied coldly, watching Tong Yaqi's figure through the rain.

"Buddy, why are you like this? It's a good ti to make so money in this rain, and you're holding up. I've been waiting here forever. There are others waiting for a cab, you know." The taxi driver mumbled on, his deanor and tone increasingly dissatisfied.

Chu Ge sighed, turned around with impatience, and glanced at the driver, "What rule says passengers can't stay in the car? I'll pay whatever I owe. Can you be quiet?"

"Hey? You're just hogging the toilet without using it, and you're still in the right? Who cares about a little wait ti on the ter? I could've done several jobs in this ti. If everyone hailing a cab acted like you, this job would be impossible! I'm telling you, don't think us cab drivers are easy to bully, believe it or not, I..."

"I told you to shut up, didn't you understand?" The driver was rambling on like a chatterbox, which annoyed Chu Ge even more. His icy gaze interrupted the driver's unfinished threat.

Feeling the chill in Chu Ge's eyes, the driver's voice ca to an abrupt stop. A strong pressure seed to envelop him, and he even felt as if his throat was constricted, making it hard to breathe. It wasn't until Chu Ge turned his gaze back out the window that the driver could breathe a bit more easily.

Chu Ge raised his hand to rub his forehead, suddenly finding the situation a bit amusing. What was wrong with him? Arguing with a taxi driver? Was it worth it?

"You... you..." After a few seconds, the driver snapped back to reality, realizing his earlier loss of composure, and felt a bit embarrassed and angry, "Kid, you're quite the actor, aren't you? Ever heard of Geng Li the Tough? If you don't get out, believe it or not, a single call from could get Geng Li... or his brothers over here?"

Although he was speaking tough, the driver's eyes revealed a bit of caution, and his harsh words lacked any real force, giving off an air of bluffing.

Of course he felt guilty, after all, he was a taxi driver. If he had a complete fallout with a passenger, they could easily rember his license plate number and cause trouble for him later.

Moreover, he had nothing to do with Geng Li, just a friend who once worked in Geng Li's haunted house. He didn't even dare to blatantly flaunt Geng Li's na and added "brother" quietly at the end of his sentence.

Chu Ge was deep in thought when he suddenly heard the driver ntion "Geng Li" and was stunned. Is this Geng Li really so down-to-earth? Even when taking a taxi, he could hear Geng Li's na?

Chu Ge's stunned expression brought joy to the taxi driver. From the looks of it, this guy definitely knew Geng Li. Finally, this guy shouldn't linger in the car anymore and delay him from earning money, right?

"Bro, uh… we have no grudges, and I won't make things hard for you. Just pay the twelve yuan fare and get off quickly, okay?"

Looking at the slightly stuttering driver, Chu Ge almost burst out laughing. How did he not notice earlier that, besides being a chatterbox, this guy was also quite cute?

Chu Ge's initially terrible mood also improved significantly. He scratched his head helplessly and took out two hundred-yuan bills from his wallet.

"I'll give you two hundred, and I won't get off. I'll wait here, and at most, you can take for another ride in the city after a while, okay?"

Handing the money to the sowhat dazed driver, Chu Ge then directed his gaze toward the park entrance, waiting for Qin Ruojing and Tong Yaqi to appear in his sight once again.

The driver instinctively took the two hundred yuan, blinked, raised the bills to examine them closely, and rubbed Chairman Mao's collar with his thumb. No mistake, it was indeed two hundred yuan, and not counterfeit.

It seed that this guy… was truly intimidated by Geng Li's na?

The driver had no idea that while Chu Ge did know Geng Li, in terms of who feared whom, it was actually the exact opposite of what he imagined.

But even if he could sohow get Geng Li to co, if Geng Li did see Chu Ge sitting in his car, he might get so scared that he'd fall over, and perhaps turn around and beat him up.

Chu Ge simply didn't want to bully a hardworking driver over such a trivial matter.

Although this driver was indeed a chatterbox and quite annoying with his mumblings, he wasn't wrong. On a rainy day, there's good business, and the driver wanted to earn more fares. There was no need to quibble over such minor matters.

These days, every family has its own troubles, and life is not easy for anyone. Seeing this young man, who seed not even twenty, out here making money by driving shows he's quite comndable.

Moreover, Chu Ge thought he should actually thank this driver. Without this amusing situation created by the driver, his mood wouldn't have improved, nor would he have quickly realized how abnormal he had been acting.

As to why he was acting strange, it all ca down to the saying "love makes one irrational." Regardless, from the mont he accepted Qin Ruojing's ring and gave her one in return, the two of them were indeed a real couple.

If he could dissipate his anger for a stranger over a funny comnt, then for the woman he chose, who might spend a lifeti with him, right and wrong might not be as important as he previously thought.

The driver hesitated for a mont but eventually put away the two hundred yuan. Looking at Chu Ge again, he didn't feel irritated. In fact, he even felt a bit embarrassed.

After all, even though it was raining and business was good, he indeed lacked the right to chase a custor out of the car. What's more, he used Geng Li's na to scare people, and in reality, Geng Li didn't even know who he was, which made him feel quite guilty.

"So, uh… bro, are you waiting for soone?"

After being in the car for a while, the young taxi driver pulled out two cigarettes from his pack, put one in his mouth, and handed the other to Chu Ge. Sitting idly was quite dull, so he casually started a conversation.

Chu Ge lit up the cigarette, smiled, and responded with an "uh-huh."

"Had a falling out with your girlfriend? Is she inside the park?" the driver asked again.

"Wow, you can tell that? Nice observation!"

The driver obviously chuckled, "Oh, on a rainy day, who would go to the park without reason? What's the issue?"

"Just so trivial matter." Chu Ge took a drag of the cigarette and swiftly brushed off the topic. With this taxi driver he just t, there was no need to say too much.

"Bro, let tell you, there's no need to spoil won too much. We're n, and if it's just a small argunt over sothing trivial, let her cool down. She'll co around in a few days."

The driver pouted and casually glanced around, suddenly noticing a classy Audi A8. "Unless, of course, your girl is one of those rich, beautiful won who can drive such a car. In that case, it's worth pampering her."
