"Ahem, uh, sister Luo, how is Lulu doing?"

There was no one else in the office. Chu Ge sat on the sofa and started with small talk with Luo Suyun. When chatting with soone who has a child, starting the conversation with the child as the topic is definitely a surefire way.

In fact, Chu Ge was a bit at a loss for words. As soon as he entered, he regretted it; he thought he could interact with Luo Suyun like friends, but he suddenly realized that it was pretty awkward when they t.

"Thanks to Manager Chu, Lulu is doing well, lively and energetic every day. She keeps busy, but... why don't you ask how I'm doing?"

Luo Suyun handed Chu Ge a cup of water. When passing the cup, their hands accidentally brushed against each other, and then Luo Suyun sat down next to him.

Her words carried a slight grudge. Chu Ge thought, what does thanks to an? Could it be that Luo Suyun knows about flicking Shu Lulu's forehead? Sothing doesn't sound right here?

However, Chu Ge certainly wouldn't ask about that directly. He gave a non-committal smile, took a sip of water, put the cup aside, and awkwardly followed up with Luo Suyun's words, "So... sister Luo, how are you doing?"

"Ah, not really well. I don't know what's wrong; recently my neck and shoulders have been hurting. Lulu is filial and helps massage, but her strength is too little. Poor single woman like , when sothing's uncomfortable, there's no one to help, so I just have to endure it."

Luo Suyun said with a light smile and slightly moved her neck and shoulders. As she did so, naturally, the upper body dressed in a silky white shirt straightened a bit.

Of course, Chu Ge could hear the implied aning behind her words. It seed she was still brooding over the last incident. With a bitter smile inside, Chu Ge thought she had already bitten him hard last ti; wasn't that enough even if she was angry?

Chu Ge inwardly smiled bitterly, but outwardly put on a very surprised look, saying, "What a coincidence, your shoulder hurts too?"

Luo Suyun was stunned, initially expecting that Chu Ge would offer to massage her shoulders or sothing, never anticipating Chu Ge would co up with such a sentence. Hearing Chu Ge say this, her mood was even less pleasant.

"What? Does Manager Chu's shoulder hurt too?"

Chu Ge nodded, touched the spot on his shoulder where Luo Suyun had bitten before, "Yeah, my shoulder occasionally hurts too, maybe I caught a bit of a cold recently."

Luo Suyun was speechless and didn't know what to say, so she made idle chit-chat, "Then Manager Chu should wear more clothes; having a cold shoulder is very uncomfortable."

Chu Ge chuckled and changed the topic, "By the way, sister Luo, haven't been eating well recently? You look like you've lost weight."

"I've been eating eggplants and cucumbers and such, losing weight isn't surprising." Luo Suyun opened her eyes and gave a slight smile from the corner of her eyes.

"You should also eat so at now and then, how can you not take care of your health?"

"Heh... I would like to eat, but soone doesn't give the opportunity, so I have no choice but to go vegetarian."

Seeing Chu Ge scratch his head with a bit of awkwardness, Luo Suyun paused, then said, "Initially, eating vegetarian all year long was also a habit, but what a pity..."

Listening to the complaint in Luo Suyun's words, Chu Ge felt even more conflicted, opened his mouth but said nothing.

After a period of silence, it was Chu Ge who broke it first, with an apologetic smile, "Sister Luo, previously, sorry about that."

"Forget it, actually it's my fault, I shouldn't have said those things, I should be the one to say sorry."

Luo Suyun shook her head, "Alright, since you're here today, let's talk about sothing happy."

Chu Ge agreed and sat down on the sofa beside Luo Suyun.

"Chu Ge, thinking back, our first eting was really quite interesting."

"Hmm, yes..."

Luo Suyun smiled again, but her smile was slightly bitter and helpless.

"Since I t you, you've always been helping ; sotis I really want to do sothing for you too, but unfortunately, you never give the chance."

"Who said you haven't helped ?" Facing those sincere eyes, Chu Ge scratched his head.

Hearing Chu Ge say this, Luo Suyun was slightly stunned as she really couldn't rember having helped Chu Ge before, "How did I help you?"

Chu Ge chuckled, "Do you rember you gave a belt?"

Luo Suyun shook her head speechlessly, "That doesn't count; it's just a small token of appreciation. You've helped and my daughter so much, compared to what you've done for us, it's nothing."

"How can it be nothing? That belt is definitely worth ntioning. Sister Luo, you don't know, when I wear the belt you gave , my back doesn't ache, my legs don't hurt, I feel strong, and I can climb many stairs effortlessly."

Chu Ge exaggeratedly lied, suddenly regretting entering this office today. From the few words exchanged earlier, he could clearly sense the hidden sadness in Luo Suyun's smile.

Luo Suyun amusingly rolled her eyes at Chu Ge, "You're just teasing , it's just an ordinary belt, and you're making it sound like an advertisent tagline?"

"A belt costing over ten thousand dollars is still considered ordinary? The ones I usually wear cost a hundred bucks each, and yours could buy a hundred of those."

"Co on, if that belt really was so magical, then why hasn't it cured your shoulder pain?"

"Well, that's... that's kind of strange."

Luo Suyun was about to say sothing more when Chu Ge beat her to it with a laugh, "Besides that belt, you've helped out a lot in other things too."

"Other things?" Luo Suyun was puzzled again, "What other things?"

"You see, you ca to work at this Tianqing Company, you sorted out the financial issues of such a big company so clearly and thoroughly, isn't that helping a lot?"

"Really, you're teasing now." Luo Suyun shook her head again, "You obviously found this job for , enabling to have a stable inco, I should be thanking you no matter what, why are you thanking ?"

"Of course I should thank you, because putting you in this office wasn't , it was your personal capability. Soone's got to sit in this chair, right? And soone needs to manage this company's finances, right? Since you have the talent, your coming here is only natural."

Seeing Chu Ge's gentle smile, Luo Suyun's heart felt both sour and warm, and without realizing it, her eyes turned red. This man truly was so considerate.

Seeing this, Chu Ge felt a pang of embarrassnt and increasingly regretted coming in. He hadn't even said much else, so why was Luo Suyun about to cry?

While Chu Ge was thinking this, Luo Suyun's tears began to fall, and she said softly, "You rascal..."

Chu Ge's eyelid twitched, "No, hey, Sister Luo, don't cry, if soone cos in later, won't they think I bullied you?"

"Let cry for a bit, I just feel like crying. I haven't cried for a long ti, and I've heard crying is good for detoxing the body."

Chu Ge sighed helplessly and could only nod.

Suyun cried for quite a while, using up several tissues to wipe her tears, and one tissue after another to blow her nose.

After so ti, there was a knock at the door.

At the sa ti, Luo Suyun adjusted her breathing, then asked, "Who's there?"

"Director Luo, it's Xia Feifei."

Luo Suyun took a deep breath, patted her cheeks, returned to her seat, and sat down with composure and poise.

As she composed herself, Chu Ge didn't remain idle either. He quickly scanned the room, found nothing amiss, then unlocked the door he had locked when he entered, and sat back down on the sofa.

Chu Ge's actions left Luo Suyun a bit speechless. Watching him, it seed like they had done sothing wrong. After adjusting her emotions and breathing, she spoke up.

"Manager Xia, please co in."

Xia Feifei pushed the door open and imdiately sensed sothing strange in the room's atmosphere, sniffing instinctively and with a trace of suspicion on her face.

Noticing this, already slightly nervous Luo Suyun beca even more so. Just as she was about to say sothing to shift Xia Feifei's attention, Xia Feifei caught sight of Chu Ge on the sofa and paused a bit.

Then, Xia Feifei spoke before Luo Suyun could, "Oh, Manager Chu is here too. Am I interrupting you? Should I co back later?"

Under normal circumstances, this would be a perfectly ordinary comnt, but to Luo Suyun's ears, it felt sohow laden with subtext.

No wonder she felt guilty, very guilty indeed. Even if nothing happened between her and Chu Ge, her eyes were still red, and the bin was full of tissues. If Xia Feifei misunderstood, and if she happened to not keep her mouth shut... well, wouldn't she be pointed at wherever she went?

Despite her nerves, Luo Suyun maintained an elegant and poised front, "You're not interrupting, Manager Xia. What can I do for you?"

If you were to judge by her expression alone, nothing seed off about it. The remnants of redness from crying could be attributed to the lingering heat of the autumn weather.

Xia Feifei walked to Luo Suyun's desk, placing a docunt on it and smiled, "Oh, it's like this: the company needs to procure so items, and I need your signature, Director Luo. Please have a look at this purchase order."

Seeing Xia Feifei's composed deanor and polite attitude, Chu Ge couldn't help but be impressed. Back at the Tianjiao Film and Television Administration Departnt, she was always chattering away, but now as a manager, not only hadn't she grown arrogant, she'd actually beco more mature and capable, which really was comndable.

Luo Suyun nodded, offering a smile, "Alright, Manager Xia, please have a seat while I take a look."

"Okay."

Feifei agreed and sat down next to Chu Ge, but as soon as she settled onto the sofa, she suddenly stood up, reaching to feel her leg.

"Huh? What's this..."
