Ever since he could rember, Chu Ge had no mories of his parents and didn't know who they were or if they were still in this world. But that didn't an he didn't long for parental love. Unfortunately, such familial bliss could only be a luxury for him.

To him, the idea of family was the companions in the orphanage and that sowhat crazy, slovenly, silly-smiling, even a bit perverted old headmaster.

Since he had gone back to the orphanage once when he first returned to Lidu, he hadn't visited again, and he didn't know how they had been doing lately.

Unexpectedly, Chu Ge suddenly felt a strong urge to visit the orphanage tomorrow.

However, thinking about the mories he had experienced there, Chu Ge felt his heart painfully wrench.

It hurt, really hurt.

Seeing Chu Ge a bit lost in thought, Luo Suyun patted him, "Hey handso, who would've thought you could have such a lancholic expression? Missing your parents?"

Chu Ge snapped back to reality, a faint smile reappearing on his face. He shook his head, "Sister Luo, I grew up in an orphanage. I don't even know who my parents are."

Luo Suyun was montarily stunned and then gave a slightly awkward smile, "Um, actually it's kind of good this way. If your parents were around, they might have annoyed you by nagging in your ear every single day already."

Hearing Luo Suyun say this, the sadness in Chu Ge's heart dissipated quite a bit. He never expected that Luo Suyun, this tomboyish woman, could be so unconventional in comforting soone. It seed normal people would just say "I'm sorry" in such a situation, right?

But, gotta say, Luo Suyun's way of comforting seed pretty effective.

Chu Ge chuckled, "What? Your daughter finds you annoying?"

Luo Suyun scratched her rose-red hair and said in frustration, "It'd be fine if she just found annoying. Sigh, it's simply beyond words! Do you mind if I vent a bit?"

Chu Ge nodded, of course, he wouldn't refuse such a small request from Luo Suyun.

Seeing Chu Ge nod, Luo Suyun gave a resigned smile and sighed in exasperation.

"This girl once had excellent grades. She was definitely a candidate for the best universities in the country, no problem at all getting into a first-class university. But ever since sothing happened in our family, she's lost interest in studying, and her grades have plumted."

"Actually... sigh, I don't bla her. I feel for her, and I know anyone would feel bad in her situation. It'd be strange if she could concentrate on classes. But I'm powerless, since I couldn't make her a wealthy or influential person, getting into a good university should be her best path."

"I believe in life, the most important things are no more than three: academic success, career, and love. If these three are fulfilled, then life wouldn't have too many regrets, right? If she can get into a prestigious university and learn so real skills, finding a decent job shouldn't be too hard, am I right?"

Looking at Luo Suyun's perplexed expression, Chu Ge, though unable to fully empathize with a mother's feelings, could sowhat imagine and understand. But he didn't follow along with Luo Suyun's words and instead, smiled and shook his head.

"Isn't there a saying that all roads lead to Ro? I think everything isn't so absolute; there are plenty of people who didn't go to college but are doing better than those who did. As long as your daughter doesn't go astray, so things can't be forced. Don't you agree, Sister Luo?"

"What you say isn't without reason, but the problem is... sigh, I don't even know how to put it. Overall, I didn't go to college when I was young, so I dearly hope my daughter can. Maybe thinking like this is a bit selfish since, in a sense, it's hoping she can fulfill a dream for . But you can't deny this path, can you?"

Chu Ge nodded, "That's true, but your daughter is still young. You shouldn't put too much pressure on her or yourself. The road is made by walking, just take it step by step."

"Forget it, let's not talk about this, let's talk about sothing else." Luo Suyun sighed, rubbed her forehead, gave a bitter smile, and her face showed a hint of indignation.

"Day after day, I can't stop worrying about her. This girl seems to have fallen for a man much older than her. Once she was talking in her sleep, calling out 'uncle' with a lovestruck expression. You can't imagine what I felt at that mont, it was more than just a headache."

Hearing the word "uncle," Chu Ge couldn't help but be montarily stunned. He almost instinctively thought of Shu Lulu blinking, and repeated, "She... called out 'uncle' in her sleep?"

"Not just once? She mumbled it several tis in a row!"

Without noticing the small changes in Chu Ge's expression and tone, Luo Suyun continued on her own, "If I ever find out who that uncle is, I'll definitely kick his third leg, how dare soone his age have designs on a high school girl! Outrageous!"

Looking at Luo Suyun's fierce expression, Chu Ge suddenly felt a chill below, touched his nose, blinked, and with great effort, suppressed his astonishnt, "A high school girl? Sister Luo, you an your daughter is already in high school?"

Facing Chu Ge's surprised gaze, Luo Suyun gave a charming smile, "Hey handso, can't you tell that big sis is already thirty-sothing? Since you ask, I'll take it as a complint that I look young, alright?"

"Uh... well, you really don't look it, not at all."

This ti, even though Chu Ge considered himself fairly composed, he was completely dumbfounded.

If it wasn't for Luo Suyun personally saying so, Chu Ge wouldn't believe, even upon death, that she could be a mother to a high school girl.

Indeed, Luo Suyun looked so young, from head to toe, from every angle, she didn't look a day over thirty.

Of course, Chu Ge was bewildered not just because of Luo Suyun's age, but more importantly, he increasingly suspected that Luo Suyun might really be Shu Lulu's mother, right?

If that's the case, then today's situation would be quite lively!

While Chu Ge was thinking, a phone rang suddenly.

Seeing the phone screen light up on the bedside, Luo Suyun was instantly full of anger, "Which bastard is calling at such a late hour?"

Despite her anger, Luo Suyun glanced at the phone screen, and when she saw the caller display, she picked up the phone with a speechless expression.

Chu Ge also glanced at Luo Suyun's phone, and his heart skipped a beat; the na on the screen was actually "Lulu"!

Swallowing hard, Chu Ge kept praying in his heart that this Lulu better not be Shu Lulu. How could there be such a coincidence in the world?

"You little brat, why are you calling at this hour?"

Chu Ge's ears perked up.

"Nothing, just missed you, is that okay?"

The room was very quiet now, and Chu Ge was listening intently. Although Luo Suyun wasn't on speakerphone, he could faintly hear a girl's voice, and his heartbeat involuntarily quickened.

"Really nothing? If nothing's up, I'm hanging up."

"Oh co on, can't I call you for no reason?"

This ti, Chu Ge heard it loud and clear; the girl's voice coming from the phone was exceptionally familiar. He was sure, completely sure, and his current mood was indescribable.

"You may have nothing, but I do. Let's talk tomorrow, I'm hanging up now."

After saying this, Luo Suyun hung up the phone, tossed it on the table, turned back to Chu Ge with a bright smile, "Alright, I've dealt with my girl, shall we... do sothing else?"

"Well, Sister Luo, I just rembered I have sothing to do. I have to leave now." Suppressing his shock and speechlessness, Chu Ge's face twitched, swallowed hard, and before finishing his sentence, he was already off the bed.

"Um... um? Leave? Handso, give your number?"

Pretending not to hear Luo Suyun's voice, Chu Ge darted out instantly, not staying a second longer, not even having his shoes on properly, escaping out of Luo Suyun's house like a runaway.

And just as he shut the door, he heard Luo Suyun's phone ring again.

It wasn't until he left the building and walked over a hundred ters away that Chu Ge's heart was still pounding wildly; this feeling was simply too tangled, too speechless.

Feeling the cool night breeze, Chu Ge rubbed his face hard, but his mind was still a ss.

Although the call on Luo Suyun's phone was brief, the voice coming through the receiver was too familiar to him.

If that voice wasn't Shu Lulu's, then whose could it be?

At this mont, Chu Ge finally understood. No wonder he found Luo Suyun familiar at first glance, and felt a sense of déjà vu upon entering her ho.

It was simply because he saw traces of Shu Lulu in Luo Suyun's face and slled Shu Lulu's scent in her ho.

Chu Ge felt utterly speechless and anxiously tornted.

If Shu Lulu knew he almost had sothing with her mom, how could he face Shu Lulu?

Or, if Luo Suyun knew he was the uncle Shu Lulu murmured about in her sleep, how would she react?

Geez! Is this for real? What on earth is happening!

As Chu Ge was grappling with it, his phone suddenly rang, startling him. When he took it out and saw the flashing na "Shu Lulu" on the screen, he felt even more of a headache.

Looking at the phone ringing nonstop, Chu Ge was torn for a long ti, not knowing whether to answer it or hang up.
