As soon as the four enemies appeared from four directions, Chu Ge didn't make any move. He just stood there quietly, as if only noticing the woman in front of him, not even glancing at the two monks to his rear left or the ninja behind him.

Of course, just as it was impossible for Chu Ge to not notice the nearby enemies at such a close distance, it was equally impossible for his enemies to naively believe that he hadn't.

This was a bold and outrageous guy, and just based on his past feats, along with the corpses they had seen along the way, it was enough to prove that he indeed had the audacity or insanity to such a degree.

Therefore, even though Chu Ge appeared so weak and battered at the mont, they couldn't afford to let their guard down in the slightest. What if the weakness and disarray in front of them were just a facade?

Is Chu Ge's weakness and disarray just a facade?

The answer, of course, is no. In his current state, he might even struggle to take down an ordinary person, let alone these four true masters surrounding him...

Heh, any one of the four could probably kill the current Chu Ge with less effort than it takes to bite through a lollipop.

Until his Spiritual Power recovered enough for him to take action, Chu Ge really had no tricks up his sleeve.

So, he made a move he thought was most appropriate under the circumstances: he displayed a teasing smile, and then... sat down, leaning his back against the tree trunk, bending one leg, adjusting to a comfortable position.

All four of their movents halted simultaneously, and Chu Ge's reaction left them feeling truly bizarre.

Especially "dusa" directly facing Chu Ge, her brows furrowed most tightly, because only she could see the smile mixed with blood stains on Chu Ge's face, seasoned with a hint of mockery, which was so... terrifying.

More importantly, she could clearly feel the unease of the snakes on her body, adding to her vigilance.

The four stopped simultaneously, and for a mont, all sounds seed to disappear, with an even more eerie deathly silence perating the air.

The mocking smile on Chu Ge's face grew stronger. He certainly knew what these four guys were wary of: they suspected Chu Ge was bluffing, deliberately acting nonchalant, but at the sa ti feared it was a trap he had set, waiting for them to fall in.

Chu Ge hoped these four could hesitate a bit longer, ideally until his Spiritual Power fully recovered. It would be even better if they could help eliminate so other enemies who discovered the situation here.

But he also knew that this was just wishful thinking. Even if these four hadn't learned the saying "prolonged dreams in the night," they at least understood that when sothing was suspicious, the best course of action was to probe it.

Indeed.

After three seconds of both brevity and eternity, restraint and restlessness, the sound of breaking through air rang out. Two small shurikens with a diater of five centiters transford into two streaks of black light, precisely tearing through Chu Ge's exposed shoulders outside the tree trunk.

The sharp edges of the shurikens embedded in Chu Ge's flesh, and crimson blood oozed from the wounds, quickly streaming down his arms.

Chu Ge didn't utter a word, nor did his expression change, as if he hadn't felt the pain at all.

The gazes of the four around him subtly shifted, then almost simultaneously moved closer to surround Chu Ge, like four jackals prepared to kill an injured tiger.

When all four were less than ten ters away from Chu Ge, suddenly, the ninja behind him raised the cold, gleaming katana in his hand, slightly lowering his center of gravity. Like a ghost, he sped up and was the first to charge.

"dusa" and the two monks narrowed their pupils and also charged towards Chu Ge from their respective directions.

A distance of less than ten ters was covered in an instant.

Chu Ge still didn't move, just leaning against the tree trunk, as if everything around him had nothing to do with him, remaining motionless.

The ninja attacking from behind was the first to charge. At this point, he was closest to Chu Ge, both hands gripping the katana's hilt, arms lowered to waist level, blade tip forward, then fiercely thrust the blade forward.

The sharp blade seed to et no resistance, piercing through the not-so-sturdy tree trunk Chu Ge was leaning against, the blade tip protruding from his left chest.

His first sensation was a chill in his chest, followed by the tremor of the tree behind him. Then he saw two fierce snakes with backward-facing fangs erging from the sleeves of "dusa," and on the left, the Blue-eyed Monk's Kasaya fluttered, releasing a chain adorned with many blood-red rhombus plaques.

Chu Ge only had ti to see this before his body uncontrollably fell with the tree's shaking. Then, he felt two gusts of wind pass by, heard a snake's hissing and the rattling of what seed to be a chain being tugged.

In fact, just as Chu Ge's head was about to be bitten by the snake's wide-open mouth and simultaneously impaled by the spikes on the chain, the bare-chested monk on the other side kicked away the heads of the two large pythons, grabbed the chain thrown by the Blue-eyed Monk, and used it to block the descending katana strike from the ninja.

"What do you want?" The Blue-eyed Monk yanked the chain fiercely, yet it remained unmoved, prompting a cold reprimand.

"dusa" and the ninja didn't speak, but their eyes conveyed the sa ssage. Several more snakes erged from one's attire, while the other squinted and tightened his grip on the katana.

"His head is mine."

The shirtless monk released the chain and stood beside Chu Ge's fallen body, speaking coldly.

"Yours? Ha... Then you'd better ask whether these snakes on agree or not!"

"This chain, each tag on it bears the na of a deceased person. We are all monks, do you also want to send you off?"

"Everyone's goal is his head, how about we..."

After a brief silence, Chu Ge heard the sound of a katana slicing through the air. Clearly, the ninja launched a sneak attack on the shirtless monk, but unfortunately, the attack did not hit its target. The argunt over Chu Ge's head then erupted into a chaotic fight.

At the sa ti, a feeling that mixed pain and numb itchiness began to spread rampantly inside Chu Ge. The previously dulled sensations were gradually becoming clear again.

This... seed to indicate that his spiritual power was miraculously recovering at an incredible speed.

The sensation of pain mixed with itchiness was not unfamiliar to Chu Ge. It symbolized his body's self-repair. However, the unexpected recovery of his spiritual power left Chu Ge pleasantly surprised and speechless with joy.

Nevertheless, Chu Ge didn't think now was the ti to relax or be happy. Even though these four were fighting each other, their ultimate target was still his head.

What's more, there weren't just these four on the island. If they fought for too long, others would discover the situation and join in; that was the main reason they weren't using firearms.

When experts clash, a victory might only take a mont. If this chaos ends quickly, or if they reach so agreent, it could an that his last chance of survival turns into a fleeting dream.

No matter how powerful his body's self-repair ability becos, Chu Ge doesn't want to experint on whether a severed head can grow back. In fact, he isn't even sure if a pierced heart would heal itself.

So, when the ninja's blade ca, he didn't just stand there; he dodged with all his might, letting the blade miss his heart by a hair's breadth as it pierced his chest.

What Chu Ge feared quickly beca reality.

In less than two minutes, the shirtless monk, who initially blocked the others' lethal strikes but beca everyone's target, was wrapped by two snakes as thick as an adult's four fingers, had the Blue-eyed Monk's chain pierce through his chest, and finally had his head decapitated by the ninja's blade.

During this process, the three ford judgnts about each other's strength, so when the shirtless monk's head fell, even though each had their own calculations, they didn't imdiately attack the others.

"I think we should talk, rather than continue fighting like this." The Blue-eyed Monk retracted his clattering chain.

"What's your idea?" The ninja swung his katana, although it bore no bloodstains.

"dusa" said nothing, but retracted the writhing snakes back into her robe, indicating her acceptance of the Blue-eyed Monk's proposal.

"Frankly, all I care about is money." The Blue-eyed Monk observed the others' expressions and continued, "If your goal is the sa as mine, then things beco much easier. If I return with this guy's head, I can get fifty million US dollars. What about you?"

"Eighty million," dusa the Snake Woman replied concisely.

"Currency?"

"Of course, US dollars."

The Blue-eyed Monk confird and nodded.

"Ninety million, US dollars," the ninja also stated a figure.

Although they didn't fully trust the figures given by the others, they were at least sure that the other's reward would not be less than the stated amount.

Since that was the case, the next issue might be simpler; give the head to the ninja, and split the ninety million US dollars three ways.

The ninja thought this way, despite being unhappy about dividing a large sum, because if the fight continued, he wasn't sure if he would survive. Without life, money is just a aningless number.

The other two thought the sa way.

The only one who didn't think this way was Chu Ge, who they already considered a dead man.
