A burst of bullets whistled through the air, tearing the enemy's body to shreds. Chu Ge tossed aside the submachine gun, leisurely walking to the side of the corpse, not caring about the blood that might sar his clothes, and sat down on the bullet-riddled torso of the body.

He just sat there, without any intention of concealing his position. For him now, it wasn't necessary.

A violent aura spread in Chu Ge's chest, as if it wanted to burst through his rib cage and transform into a murderous aura swirling around him. He waited impatiently, waiting for those enemies who wanted to take his head to appear.

Then, Chu Ge would let them know how ridiculous their thoughts were, and also make them understand, before the last mont of their lives ended, the extent of the gap between them and him, letting regret co to them as their final thought.

And then, when all these cannon fodders were dead, maybe the real adversary would appear?

If possible, I really hope this doesn't happen...

"Ratatat"

Suddenly, a series of gunfire echoed from afar, causing Chu Ge to furrow his brows.

Soon, from various directions, intense gunfire, screams, curses, and cries of pain rang out successively.

Chu Ge's brows furrowed even tighter.

"Damn it! Is there anyone else besides Old Liang? If it's true... If our own people et and end up fighting each other, that would be a big joke!"

Chu Ge sprang up from the body's torso, scavenging a few weapons from it, and quickly ran toward the nearest gunfire.

With the help of spiritual power akin to radar, soon, the facts confird Chu Ge's suspicions. After Liang Yongping, he t a familiar face.

It was an Asian woman in her thirties with fair skin and narrow eyes, wearing a pair of gold-rimd glasses, a white shirt paired with a black suit, a typical office beauty's attire.

However, her hands were covered with blood-stained Fist Spikes, and she carried a pitch-black crossbow on her back, which mismatched her outfit.

Besides the crossbow and Fist Spikes, Chu Ge had no doubt that her body, seemingly unable to hold more items, concealed various deadly weapons.

Seeing this woman, Chu Ge had a bit of a headache because he really didn't know if she was here to kill him or to help him.

"Before I kill you, you are not allowed to die. We still have to settle the account between us regarding my apprentice," the woman said coldly to Chu Ge.

"Stop adding to my problems! Why are you ddling in my affairs? Return to where you ca from imdiately."

Chu Ge was utterly speechless. Truth be told, he wasn't very familiar with this woman, only knowing her nickna was "Black Lotus." Their relationship was one of fighting before realizing they weren't enemies.

Simply put, for so reason, "Black Lotus" once tried to assassinate Chu Ge, but failed multiple tis, and always managed to escape successfully.

In Chu Ge's opinion, her escape skills far surpassed her killing prowess.

During Black Lotus's last failed assassination attempt, she didn't imdiately flee as usual but instead gave up resisting. Due to certain unsavory, not entirely unreasonable reasons, Chu Ge didn't kill her at that ti. Instead, they discussed assassination techniques, even suggesting so improvents based on her usual weapons, which were the hand crossbow and Fist Spikes.

Since then, "Black Lotus" hadn't appeared in front of Chu Ge again. However, a female assassin nad "Black Arrow" erged to try to kill him, even using the "Heaven and Earth Net" that Chu Ge helped Black Lotus develop.

The reason Chu Ge let "Black Arrow" go at that ti was largely due to the familiarity of "Black Arrow's" combat or escape techniques, which were evidently linked to "Black Lotus."

Chu Ge thought he and "Black Lotus" would have no further interaction, but unexpectedly, they t again under such circumstances today.

"You're simply insane!"

Chu Ge rubbed his forehead in vexation. Even after what "Black Lotus" said, he still couldn't ascertain her true intent for being here, so he casually cast a spur-of-the-mont hypnosis her way.

Soon, it beca evident that "Black Lotus" had indeed co with the intention of supporting Chu Ge, which gave him more of a headache.

Even though "Black Lotus" indeed possessed remarkable combat abilities seemingly impressive to ordinary people, this "remarkable" was only relative to ordinary folks. At this mont, none of the people on this island were to be underestimated.

If "Black Lotus" continued to fight here, perhaps she could opportunistically kill so enemies, as most of the people on the island worldwide didn't know each other; Liang Yongping and "Black Lotus" both exploited this gap.

However, it wouldn't take long before the true intentions of Liang Yongping, "Black Lotus," or possibly other allies standing by Chu Ge's side would be exposed. At that point, leaving the island unscathed wouldn't be easy.

For Chu Ge, things were already getting complicated. Now, with this unpredictable factor, the situation was becoming even more complex. He absolutely didn't want anything to happen to anyone offering him a lifeline in his ti of need.

Even if he indeed had the ability to protect himself, Liang Yongping and "Black Lotus," or any other's goodwill actually brought him more variables and troubles, how could they have known the transformative changes he had undergone? How could Chu Ge not feel a warmth in his heart?

Sighing urgently for breath, Chu Ge's eyes sharpened as he quickly made a rather disadvantageous decision.

From this mont on, his primary goal was to find and send everyone like Liang Yongping and "Black Lotus" to a safe place.

Honestly, this decision was unwise, even irrational, yet...

As a human being, who would never do sothing that seed utterly ridiculous to so but had to be done for oneself?

"You are now an enemy I've defeated and who has chosen to surrender. In the spirit of humanitarianism, I decide not to kill you, and you're so scared that you've decided to withdraw from this encirclent against . You must head to the Tongsheng Association's passenger ship as fast as possible. Once aboard, you'll sleep for three days, and upon waking, you'll forget everything that happened here."

Through Chu Ge's hypnotic power, his compelling voice echoed in "Black Lotus's" mind, turning into a foregone conclusion. Her eyes filled with confusion gradually transford into panic. She suddenly turned around, sprinting towards the "Tongsheng Association" passenger ship at the shore, as if soone were genuinely pursuing her.

Watching "Black Lotus's" retreating figure, Chu Ge extended the invisible tendrils of his spiritual power as far and wide as possible, even though doing so would rapidly deplete his spiritual energy, he deed it necessary. He even regretted not making such a decision upon first seeing Liang Yongping.

The ssage of Chu Ge declaring war against all his foes was indeed subtly transmitted. The dissemination of this news process was also similarly subtle, though there were no supposedly "airtight walls" in this world. Besides those Chu Ge hoped would know about it, others wouldn't easily learn of this matter.

In other words, Liang Yongping, "Black Lotus," or anyone on the island fighting for him was making every effort to glean and track his news through various channels.

Therefore, Chu Ge had to race against ti, not wasting even a second, for every single person who, knowing they might die, still ca here to fight for him.

They wanted to protect Chu Ge, and of course, Chu Ge wanted to protect them.

At this mont, the spiritual power tendrils were like eyes, constantly feeding information from all directions back to Chu Ge, which was far from a comfortable feeling.

Put simply, it's like looking at a place; the eyes feed the information within the visual range back to the brain, and the brain generates all sorts of thoughts based on it, such as "This is a building, so-and-so lives on the fifth floor, at this ti, he should be watching TV," "That is a salon, and the voluptuously figured shampoo girl inside is smiling at ."

However, Chu Ge's situation now was akin to receiving an enormous amount of information simultaneously, such as how things were at seven o'clock, nine o'clock, and noon.

Moreover, since this was sensed through his dispersed spiritual power rather than seen with his eyes, he needed to analyze the feedback from these "tendrils" and seek out useful information from them, necessitating an incredibly swift ntal process.

Without exaggeration, if one's spirit wasn't strong enough, the trendous amount of information received in an instant would suffice to cause excruciating headaches, and sustaining it for a few seconds could potentially drive soone insane.

Even though Chu Ge's spiritual power reached an abnormal level, accelerating the tendril's progress so feverishly was anything but easy for him.

Just as "Black Lotus's" lightning-fast retreat was about to vanish from Chu Ge's sight, one of his dispersed spiritual tendrils sensed a familiar ntal fluctuation.

Chu Ge looked once more at the direction "Black Lotus" disappeared and sprinted towards another direction even faster.

Three minutes later, Chu Ge saw another familiar face from the past.
