648: Chapter 648 Unbridled!

648: Chapter 648 Unbridled!

The middle-aged woman looked at Qin Han standing at the door and asked with confusion, “Are you going to co in or not?”

“Yes, yes!” Qin Han took a deep breath, cald himself, and hurriedly said.

The middle-aged woman led Qin Han into the house, and after placing the herbs on the table, she called out, “Auntie Jiang, this man says he’s looking for you!

Auntie Jiang!”

“Auntie Jiang has gone out!” At that mont, a middle-aged man erged from the bedroom.

When he saw Qin Han, he was taken aback and asked, “Who are you?

Are you the one looking for Auntie Jiang?”

“Yes, may I ask where she has gone?” Qin Han asked anxiously.

The middle-aged man shook his head and said, “I don’t know, we never ask what Auntie Jiang is out doing.”

“When will she be back?” Qin Han continued to ask.

The middle-aged man shook his head again and said, “I don’t know!”

Qin Han had thought that his mother would be here, but now finding out that she wasn’t ho and had gone out filled him with desperate urgency so intense that he even inwardly cursed the damned heavens for not allowing a smooth reunion between mother and son.

“You can sit for a while and wait for Auntie Jiang,” the middle-aged man said.

Qin Han nodded but didn’t sit down.

Instead, he started to look around at the furnishings within the house.

It was not that Qin Han looked down on the oldness of the place, but rather that he simply couldn’t sit still.

In the eyes of the middle-aged man, Qin Han’s expression seed usual, but inwardly, Qin Han was extrely anxious, feeling as if thousands of ants were crawling in his heart.

“Has she been well these years?” Qin Han asked lightly.

The middle-aged man shook his head and said, “I don’t know!”

Seeing the puzzled look in Qin Han’s eyes, the middle-aged man explained, “Auntie Jiang wasn’t living here before; she ca only recently.”

“I see!” Qin Han nodded, but he wasn’t in the mood to ask how his mother knew the middle-aged man’s family.

He just kept looking toward the door.

Ti ticked by, and Qin Han kept glancing at his watch, thinking to himself, “Mother, where exactly have you gone?

Why haven’t you co back yet!”

“How is mom’s health now?” At that mont, the middle-aged woman, having finished tidying up, asked the middle-aged man.

At her words, a smile appeared on the face of the middle-aged man, who said, “Auntie Jiang just took mom’s pulse earlier, and she said the situation is quite good.

Eating one more dose of the prescription will be nearly enough.

As long as she gets proper care in the future, there shouldn’t be any problems.”

“I’ll go look for another job tomorrow so that mom can eat better from now on!” the middle-aged man said with a smile.

Upon hearing the man’s words, the middle-aged woman also happily said, “That’s great.

These past few days really scared to death.

You shouldn’t go looking for work though.

You’re already so tired from working on the construction site during the day; working at night will be too much for you.

Besides, if you don’t rest well at night and sothing happens at the construction site the next day, what would we do?”

“Let find a job.

I’ll look for sothing that lets co ho at noon to cook for mom.

From now on, my salary will go toward buying nutritious things for her!” the middle-aged woman said with a smile.

Watching the couple being considerate of each other and careful with their elderly, Qin Han inwardly nodded, feeling his mother’s dical help for their mother was not in vain.

“Oh, Auntie Jiang ntioned last night that she would leave after giving mom a pulse check.

She might have already left,” the middle-aged woman suddenly said.

The middle-aged man was startled, then said, “That can’t be.

Didn’t Auntie Jiang say she would wait until mom had taken the new dicine and was alright before leaving?”

“Right, Auntie Jiang is so careful, she wouldn’t leave in such a hurry!” the middle-aged woman said with a laugh.

The conversation between the two left Qin Han feeling as if he had been scared sick, plumting from the heavens to the earth and then back again.

“Do Aunt Jiang’s outings always take so long?” Qin Han asked aloud.

The middle-aged woman thought for a mont and smiled as she spoke, “It’s not always the case.

Sotis, Aunt Jiang cos back very quickly.

But as for what Aunt Jiang does when she goes out, we never ask.”

“Right, what’s your relationship with Aunt Jiang?” the middle-aged woman asked again.

Qin Han thought for a mont, took a deep breath, and said, “She is my mother.

I’ve been searching for her for many years!”

“So Aunt Jiang is your mother.

Now that you and your mother are reunited, you must celebrate properly.

I’ll go buy groceries in a bit.

Aunt Jiang has been very kind to us.

Today, you must have dinner at ho!” The middle-aged woman said with a smile upon hearing this.

At this mont, Jiang Qing, who had gone out, had just co out of the bank.

Having not descended the mountain for over a decade, Jiang Qing was not very familiar with so things.

While she was withdrawing money with her bank card at the counter, the staff inford her that she could use the ATM instead.

But Jiang Qing, being naturally indifferent, didn’t get angry over the staff’s attitude.

However, just as Jiang Qing turned into the alley outside the residential building, she saw an old man standing there.

Frowning at the old man before her, Jiang Qing said, “The Qin family really doesn’t keep their word!”

“Jiang Qing, back then Qin Wuyang gave you a Jade Pendant.

The Qin family wants it back,” the old man said to Jiang Qing indifferently.

“Jade Pendant?

I don’t rember!” Jiang Qing said coldly.

The old man smiled upon hearing this and said, “Jiang Qing, it’s no fun like this.

Are you not afraid that the Qin family will imprison you again?”

“That Jade Pendant belongs to the Qin family.

Even though Qin Wuyang has disappeared, we know that he gave it to you as a token of engagent.

You say you don’t rember?

Hmph, do you take for a three-year-old child?” the old man said with a cold laugh.

Jiang Qing, unbothered, said, “The day he left , I was so angry I threw it away.

It’s just a broken jade pendant; it’s useless!”

No matter what, Jiang Qing would never reveal that she had already given the Jade Pendant to her child.

The Qin family currently had no idea that Wuyang and she had a child.

Should it bring any trouble to her child, that would be terrible!

So, she resolved that even if the Qin family were to imprison her again, she would not reveal a thing!

“Jiang Qing, don’t be stubborn.

Thrown away?

To investigate Qin Wuyang’s disappearance, you were willing to be trapped on Soul-breaking Cliff for fifteen years without giving up, and now you tell you threw it away?” The old man said with a cold snort.

“Since that’s the case, this old man knows it’s ti to lay hands on a woman like you.”

“Where is Qin Wuyang’s body?” Jiang Qing suddenly asked.

The old man, only caring about the Jade Pendant, didn’t pay attention to Jiang Qing’s words and blurted out, “He disappeared in a desolate place, who knows where the body is?”

“A desolate place?” Jiang Qing said indifferently.

“You country woman, trying to trap with words, it seems that even if you hand over the Jade Pendant today, you won’t be able to leave!” The old man finally realized he had been tricked by Jiang Qing!

As he spoke, the old man grabbed Jiang Qing’s arm, about to drag her away, but the middle-aged woman who ca out to buy groceries saw it and imdiately shouted:

“Aunt Jiang?

Where are you taking Aunt Jiang?

Help, there’s a robbery!”

No sooner had the words of the middle-aged woman fallen than a thunderous shout arose:

“How dare you!”
