52: Princess Chu of Chapter 52 52: Princess Chu of Chapter 52 “But I don’t have a job anymore!” Song Yuwei looked at Qin Han, feeling sowhat uneasy as she spoke.

“It’s okay, I’ll support you!” Qin Han said with a smile.

“Mhm.” Song Yuwei nodded softly in response.

Song Yuwei was not just a pretty face, on the contrary, she was a very strong-willed woman who had previously supported all the family expenses by herself.

However, hearing Qin Han say “I’ll support you,” she still felt happy inside, after all, she was a woman too.

Number Three tactfully took the two kids sowhere else to play.

“Why aren’t Daddy and Mommy coming with us?” the little one asked, looking up.

“They have things to discuss,” Number Three said, leading Diu Diu by the left hand and guiding Yaoyang with the right.

“Isn’t it just about falling in love?” the little one said, sounding surprisingly worldly.

“……”

“Let’s walk over there!” Qin Han looked at Song Yuwei and said with a smile.

“Mhm!” Song Yuwei agreed.

The two walked quietly along the path in the amusent park, appearing to be completely unconnected because there was room enough between them to fit another person.

Song Yuwei trailed a step behind Qin Han, silently following behind him.

She thought to herself as she watched his back, “What a blockhead, are we going to keep walking like this?

Does he act this way with other won outside?”

It was no wonder Song Yuwei thought this way; after all, her previous suitor often sought solace in other won when he couldn’t have her.

However, this unjustly maligned the present Qin Han, who in his two lifetis understood dical skills, martial arts, and even business, but was clueless about matters of love.

After shaking her lips slightly, Song Yuwei quickened her pace and moved closer to Qin Han, walking beside him.

Her cheeks flushed slightly as she slipped her right hand into Qin Han’s left.

Qin Han suddenly felt sothing extra in his hand; it was soft and smooth.

Looking down, he saw it was Song Yuwei’s small hand.

He looked at her cheeks, which were now as red as ripe apples.

Qin Han smiled and held Song Yuwei’s hand, slowing his pace as they walked together leisurely.

At this mont, both of them had the sa thought; perhaps this was the true essence of life.

In the rundown room, Diu Diu had already fallen asleep, perhaps from tiredness.

The little one was deep in sleep with light snores coming out.

Qin Han lay on that familiar yet strange single bed, staring at the yellowing ceiling, pondering over the opening of his dical clinic.

Song Yuwei, having finished washing up, was just behind the curtain.

She could clearly see Qin Han’s bright eyes, like a beacon in the night.

“Isn’t it cold…

sleeping there?”

“It’s okay, not cold!” Qin Han replied.

“Oh, I’m a bit cold!” Song Yuwei said, her cheeks blushing so deeply under the cover of night that they seed to be dripping blood.

“Then maybe add another blanket tonight,” Qin Han suggested after a thought.

“Then just keep sleeping there!” Song Yuwei said, puffing up with anger.

Qin Han’s changes during this period had started to give her a ‘little temper’ of her own.

Qin Han felt rather perplexed.

Things were fine, so why the sudden anger?

Where else should I sleep if not here— perhaps on the sofa?

When Qin Han and the others arrived at the dical clinic, Zhang Henian was already sitting in front of the consultation desk, and the others had cleaned up the clinic.

Qin Han’s face reddened with embarrassnt, sensing his inadequacy as the owner of the clinic.

Nodding to everyone, he set Diu Diu down and said, “Let introduce you to everyone, this is my wife, Song Yuwei.”

“This is Mr.

Zhang, this is…”

After the introductions, Song Yuwei got to know everyone well.

Qin Han sat on the chair, called Yaoyang over to his side, took out a copy of the “Compendium of Materia dica”, handed it over, and said faintly, “Read this book thoroughly and rember it, don’t worry about understanding it yet!”

Yaoyang complied and sat down next to Qin Han to start reading, soon getting into the zone.

Qin Han was very pleased with Yaoyang’s engagent, believing that only by concentrating on one thing could one achieve success.

Mingming saw that Yaoyang was reading and quietly did not disturb him, but anyone could see that she looked utterly bored.

Zhang Henian watched the sensible little one and waved at her with a chuckle.

The curious little one ca to Zhang Henian, who magically produced a lollipop from his hand.

Seeing the lollipop, Mingming glanced back at Song Yuwei and after getting a nod from her, sweetly said, “Thank you, Grandpa!”

Qin Han smiled at Mingming’s eager expression, but then noticed a pair of black high heels and above them, two long, snow-white, straight legs.

Looking up, a well-proportioned woman dressed in a black tight long dress appeared at the door, her face covered with a mask and sunglasses.

“Can I see a doctor here?”

“Of course you can see a doctor at a dical hall!” Qin Han replied indifferently.

The woman walked into the dical hall, looked around, and went straight to the consultation counter to sit down.

“I’ve been sleeping rather poorly recently, can you help check?” the woman said softly, her voice carrying a subtle hint of fear.

“Please extend your right hand,” Zhang Henian said.

After taking her pulse for a while, Zhang Henian, with a furrowed brow, continued, “Please remove your mask and sunglasses.”

The woman hesitated and made no move.

“Miss, I can’t assess your complexion unless you remove your mask and sunglasses,” Zhang Henian patiently said.

Upon hearing this, the woman reluctantly took off her mask and sunglasses.

In view was a face of exceptional beauty, albeit sickly pale with a heavy dark blue color around both eyes, the typical dark circles that co with chronic sleep deprivation.

“From the pulse, your body appears very healthy, it could be work stress causing the insomnia.

I can prescribe you a calming dicine to start with and adjust from there,” Zhang Henian said, still frowning.

“Ah, still no good?

I’ve been to many dical halls and taken many calming and brain-nourishing dicines, but none have worked.

If this goes on, I really might go mad,” the woman said desperately.

“Why not go to a hospital?” Qin Han, who had been quiet till then, suddenly asked.

“A hospital?

I can’t go…

can’t go,” the woman muttered, constantly saying she couldn’t go to a hospital.

At that mont, Zhang Yalin ca out from the inner room and seeing the woman at the consultation counter, exclaid in surprise, “Ji Chufei?

You’re Ji Chufei?”

“Ji Chufei?” Qin Han frowned, wondering if Zhang Yalin recognized her.

At the ntion of Ji Chufei by Zhang Yalin, the woman’s body visibly shook, she quickly stood up and said, “I’m not seeing anymore!” and then walked towards the door.

Zhang Henian got up and let Qin Han take over the consultation counter, then turned around and quietly asked Zhang Yalin, who Ji Chufei was.

“She’s the hottest young female star in the past year, a triple-threat star in singing, movies, and TV shows!” Zhang Yalin said, eyes twinkling while looking at Ji Chufei.

No wonder!

She was a celebrity!

Hearing Zhang Yalin’s words, Qin Han understood; if the dia caught wind of this, it would be disastrous for a star, which explained why Ji Chufei wrapped herself up like a dumpling.

“I think I might be the only one who can cure your illness,” Qin Han stood and approached the consultation counter.

Ji Chufei stopped her steps towards the door and turned back.

“Can you really cure my illness?”
