"Complaint! I want to file a complaint!"

Yang ifeng, infuriated, pointed at the departing car and raged, "Ning’er, file a complaint now! I want that damned loser to lose his job!"

"Mom, you were the one who was wrong this ti. That person didn’t provoke you, so why did you insult them for being poor?"

Luo Ning yawned. She had not slept well the entire night, and then she had gone straight to the police station in the morning, without any rest.

As the rain grew heavier, she felt increasingly annoyed, "Now look, the other driver has left, and it’s pouring at this hour, making it nearly impossible to hail a cab."

"Psh! It’s just rain — I refuse to believe there are no cars available!"

Yang ifeng was like a stubborn rock, absolutely refusing to admit her mistake.

She imdiately leaned out her body and waved her hand, trying to flag down a passing taxi.

Unfortunately, she overestimated her abilities and underestimated the downpour.

A good ten minutes passed with not a single empty cab in sight. Finally, when a car appeared, the driver took one look at Yang ifeng’s grim face and nacing deanor and sped away instantly.

Left with no other option, Luo Ning rebooked a ride on her phone. As soon as soone accepted the order, she imdiately said to her mother, "Mom! Control your temper. If you get into another conflict, we won’t be able to go to the hospital today."

Having suffered a setback, Yang ifeng could only agree, sulking.

Twenty minutes later, a car older and worse than a Roewe pulled up. Yang ifeng’s face darkened – if she had known this would happen, she would have taken the Roewe earlier.

"Driver, to Renkang Hospital."

Luo Ning, fearing another confrontation between her mother and the driver, quickly helped her get into the car.

The driver nodded. Once everyone was on board, he stepped on the gas, and the car swiftly headed to Renkang Hospital.

In the back seat, Yang ifeng sulkily played with her phone.

She scrolled through her mahjong group, where, to her astonishnt, more than half of the ssages were mocking her.

The most infuriating was Liu Chunling, who had sohow acquired the skills to turn a photo of herself being put into a police car into an emoticon, complete with the caption, "This is what happens when you pretend."

Dammit!

Yang ifeng cursed in her heart, growing angrier the more she looked.

Unable to vent her anger, she imdiately called her husband, Luo Shanchuan.

At that mont, Luo Shanchuan was having a blast at Yintai Departnt Store’s amusent center with Xiao Li.

To have more private ti with Xiao Li, he’d generously parted with 58 yuan to send Mo Xiaochen to the adjacent playground, while he and Xiao Li headed to the arcade to dance on a dance machine. Despite his age, Luo Shanchuan, who exercised regularly, was exceptionally agile.

Competing against Xiao Li in dancing, he didn’t miss a beat.

A crowd gathered to watch, and so even took videos and photos to share on their social circles.

Xiao Li, having danced four or five songs, was exhausted. Panting, she said, "Uncle Luo, I can’t dance anymore. Let’s call it a day, shall we?"

In truth, Xiao Li had wanted to leave much earlier, but Luo Shanchuan kept finding excuses to get close to her.

Fearing his anger if she left abruptly, potentially ruining her 400,000 deal, she found many ways to deal with Luo Shanchuan.

Going to the arcade was one of them. She assud that at his age, Luo Shanchuan would tire after one or two songs and need to rest, but to her surprise, he seed to get more energetic as he danced.

"Co on, I was just warming up," he said.

Luo Shanchuan wiped the sweat from his forehead and grinned at Xiao Li, "If you’re tired, let’s switch to a slower rhythm. How about Tao Jiji’s ’Today You Marry ’? Shall we pick that?"

Today You Marry ?

Isn’t that a bit too obvious and cheesy?

The n in attendance scorned, "You’re old enough to know better, yet you still think about marrying such a young and beautiful girl?"

Xiao Li could not dance anymore. She stepped down from the dance machine and said, "Uncle Luo, let’s play another ti. Look, it’s already four o’clock. I need to get back and deal with my car."

With the conversation reaching this point, Luo Shanchuan had no choice but to stop. After a brief chat, he reluctantly bid farewell to Xiao Li.

"Sigh..."

Watching Xiao Li’s retreating figure, Luo Shanchuan heaved a heavy sigh. If it weren’t for that shrew Yang ifeng, he thought he might have had a chance with Xiao Li.

Feeling glum, he hurried to catch the escalator to the fifth floor to find his granddaughter, Mo Xiaochen, at the Little Bunny amusent park.

Just then, his phone buzzed in his pocket.

He looked at the phone—it was a call from his wife, Yang ifeng.

"Why her? Didn’t she not co ho all night?"

Luo Shanchuan hesitated to answer, and after the call ended, he dashed toward the elevator with his phone in hand.

In less than two minutes, he arrived at the amusent park.

"Chen Chen, it’s ti to go ho."

Picking up Mo Xiaochen, he said breathlessly, "When your grandmother calls later, you tell her that your grandpa has been with you all day, playing outside. Understand?"

Mo Xiaochen pouted and asked, "Where’s Sister Xiao Li?"

"Shh! My little mistress, you mustn’t ntion her!" he urged urgently.

"Chen Chen, listen to grandpa!"

"Don’t talk about seeing Xiao Li today—whether it’s during a call or when we get ho."

"I’ll buy you candy on the way back."

Mo Xiaochen chuckled, "Then I want two boxes of rainbow candy!"
