Chen Se and Ding Se looked at each other, nodded, and Chen Se said, "Do you rember what we told you before?"

"I rember! Of course, I rember!"

Yang ifeng nodded repeatedly, "After I go back, I won’t say a word about the money laundering!"

She was truly frightened; she had just thoroughly offended Cuihua and the others, and there was also Liu Ying, that vicious shrew. If she was caught again, she really would need to prepare her own coffin.

Ding Se nodded, handed over the plastic bag containing the Black Gold Card, and asked, "What about this?"

"This?"

Yang ifeng’s expression paused, and she asked cautiously, "Does Sir intend for to return it?"

"You an, Mo Han still doesn’t know?"

"Hmm."

Ding Se nodded his head and said in a deep voice, "This Black Gold Card is of major importance; if Mister Mo discovers it’s missing, he would definitely notify the police imdiately."

"We haven’t received his phone call up to now."

At this point, Chen Se opened his slightly closed eyes and spoke indifferently, "That’s because Mister Mo and his wife spent the whole night searching and had no ti to check their bank cards."

"A colleague inford just now that the two of them arrived at the police station at seven o’clock this morning and have been waiting outside."

"Yang ifeng, sign these two docunts, and you can take your personal belongings and leave."

"After you go out, lead a good life. Don’t get involved in these dirty tricks again!"

"Also, let remind you one last ti! So things are best swallowed and kept in your stomach forever, otherwise, even if you are not caught by us, those criminals will find out, and their thods are anything but mild."

Of course, they weren’t mild at all!

Yang ifeng muttered to herself, recalling her ordeal in the laundry room; she was still scared stiff.

If it hadn’t been for Zhang Hongyan’s sudden act of rcy, even if she hadn’t been beaten to death, Liu Ying would have crippled her.

Yang ifeng was eager to get out and imdiately took the docunts and pen, skimd them quickly, and signed her na with a flourish.

As per the rules, Ding Se also returned Yang ifeng’s cell phone to her.

Yang ifeng hadn’t touched her phone for a day and a night and now, receiving it, she hurriedly turned it on.

Before she could even unlock it, she saw scores of ssage notifications on the screen.

Most of them were from her daughter Luo Ning.

"Mom, where are you? Why aren’t you answering my calls?"

"Mom, did you lose money playing mahjong and are still trying to win it back? Can you please stop playing? We are all waiting for you to co ho."

"Mom, please say sothing. You’re not answering calls, and there’s no response to video or audio chats either. I’m really scared."

"Mom, you haven’t had an accident, have you? Please reply, I’m so worried."

"Mom..."

Reading the ssages from her daughter, Yang ifeng’s tears started flowing profusely.

Seeing the concern from others as well, she felt sowhat displeased, especially by Liu Chunling. That person had actually sent her private ssages, full of sarcasm, including a video of her being put into a police car with a mask on her face.

Damn it!

Yang ifeng was so mad she gritted her teeth, but she was too sore right now to argue. Her right ear, only roughly bandaged, was in terrible pain.

Thinking this over, she deleted all of Liu Chunling’s ssages and blocked her.

Best to be straightforward; out of sight, out of mind.

"Alright, you can go now."

Ding Se and Chen Se stood up simultaneously, and Yang ifeng hurriedly followed them out.

anwhile, at the police station’s waiting area.

Mo Han and Luo Ning sat anxiously outside.

"Mo Han, when can my mom be released?"

Luo Ning’s eyes were red and swollen from crying so much.

Mo Han felt terribly heartbroken, hugged his wife, and patted her back gently, comforting her, "Don’t worry, Mom is just assisting with the investigation. There shouldn’t be any serious problems; she’ll be released in a little while."

Luo Ning raised her head, her voice tinged with a nasal tone, "Really?"

Mo Han slightly smiled and nodded his head.

Just then, a female receptionist approached, "Excuse , are you relatives of Yang ifeng?"

"Yes!"

Luo Ning quickly got to her feet and anxiously asked, "I am her daughter Luo Ning; how is my mother Yang ifeng doing now?"

"Miss Luo, don’t worry. Your mother has finished cooperating with the investigation and is currently waiting on the first floor. I will take you to her," said the receptionist courteously.

Her polite manner was a stark contrast to the indifferent attitude of the receptionist from that morning.

Luo Ning and Mo Han hurriedly followed the receptionist down to the waiting room on the first floor.

There, the bruised and battered Yang ifeng sat on a bench looking anxiously outside. She didn’t want to spend another second there.

"Mom!"

As soon as Luo Ning walked in, she saw her mother.

Seeing her mother’s bruised face, bandaged right ear, and hair ssed up like a bird’s nest made Luo Ning burst into tears, rushing forward to embrace her mother and weep bitterly.

Yang ifeng had been quite calm, but her daughter’s crying made her instantly rember the miserable experiences from the day before. All the pent-up grievances burst forth, and she wept uncontrollably.

The two cried for a good five or six minutes before their emotions gradually eased.

"Mom, what happened to you? How did you get these injuries?" Luo Ning dried her tears with the back of her hand, asking with great concern, "Did they hit you while inside?"

Mo Han joined in, pointing accusingly at Ding Se, "How could you do this? My mother-in-law was only cooperating with your investigation. How could she end up like this?"

"I want to lodge a complaint! A complaint against you all!"

Ding Se gave an awkward smile, and before he could speak up, Yang ifeng glared furiously and said sharply," Mo Han! What the hell are you complaining about? If it weren’t for you..."
