"Does Lady Shen intend to use force?" Tang Feng replied dismissively.
"That depends on your response—will you let my daughter go?" Lady Shen’s eyes narrowed, an unusual kind of aura exuding from her.
Tang Feng studied Lady Shen for a while, waiting until she looked away in embarrassnt before turning his gaze to Shen Fei’er.
"Mother, stop talking. I’ve chosen to stay by the young master’s side of my own accord. Honestly, it’s better being with him than staying with the family," Shen Fei’er said earnestly, as her experiences along the way were deeply etched in her mory.
She felt quite good now. Although she called herself a maid, they hadn’t made things difficult for her; it was just serving tea and water.
Of course, Shen Fei’er didn’t realize that Tang Feng had his own motives for this.
One must know that the tea was not ordinary tea, and the water was not ordinary water.
Yet Shen Fei’er wasn’t aware of these things.
She didn’t know what all this ant.
In fact, her body had already been beneficially affected, but she ignored it herself.
Regardless, the identity of a maid seed to resonate deeply within her.
Ultimately, she wanted to be faithful. No matter what, Tang Feng was her savior, and she couldn’t repay such a grace.
Because she found that Tang Feng lacked nothing.
The only thing she could do was keep up with him.
"Fei’er, this is not negotiable. You must listen to ; you will take over the family’s business," Lady Shen urged fervently, not understanding why her daughter would not heed her after returning.
"Lady Shen, regardless of what you say, she is already my person. Don’t worry; I won’t let her suffer any loss," Tang Feng stated.
"It sounds nice, but I don’t believe it. I only have one daughter, and no one can take her away from ," Lady Shen declared firmly.
"Mother, I’m sorry. Whether you agree or not, I have to leave."
"If you dare to leave, I’ll end my life," Lady Shen threatened lodramatically.
This scene took Tang Feng by surprise; he didn’t expect a woman to be so unreasonable.
"Boy, you can try taking her away. If I die, see if she can live peacefully."
"Lady Shen, must you be so ruthless and create such a big commotion?" Tang Feng’s voice turned cold.
"Boy, why should a daughter of the Shen family beco your maid? Don’t even think about it; I won’t agree."
"Fine, there’s no reasoning with a woman. Fei’er, you have three days," Tang Feng said, turning to leave, with Shen Fei’er quickly following.
"Stop! Are you her daughter or mine?" Lady Shen’s face turned pale with anger.
"Mother, I’m grown up now; leave my affairs alone." Shen Fei’er declared her stance, leaving Lady Shen furious and pale.
"You’re too much; I raised you myself, and this is how you repay your mother? Fei’er, why?" Lady Shen was on the verge of losing control.
"Mother, you taught to do business with integrity, and I believe it’s the sa for being a person. If he hadn’t saved , do you think I could stand here listening to you?" Shen Fei’er spoke softly, not wanting to anger her mother further.
"You’re hopeless. Fine, you leave; from now on, we are no longer mother and daughter," Lady Shen said, turning away in anger.
Shen Fei’er wept; since ancient tis, loyalty and filial piety are hard to balance. What can she do? How can she go against her promise to Tang Feng?
Tang Feng couldn’t help but feel sorry. However, since it was her choice, he didn’t want to play the saint, deliberately setting aside soone he liked for company. That wasn’t possible.
This girl was the most suitable maid, naturally born for the role. Tang Feng had grown accustod to her assistance.
"Things will settle down with ti," Tang Feng comforted himself.
"I understand. Would you like sothing to eat?" Wiping her tears, Shen Fei’er asked.
"No need. Just arrange a room for to stay, then go and keep Lady Shen company," Tang Feng instructed.
"Thank you, Young Master. Please follow ," Shen Fei’er found a guest room for Tang Feng to settle in, with her room right next to it. This arrangent revealed her attitude towards Tang Feng.
She did this intentionally, believing she should always be present when Tang Feng called.
As for what the family thought, she couldn’t care less. After arranging for Tang Feng, she left to prepare dinner.
After she left, Lady Shen appeared again, her face quite displeased, as if Tang Feng owed her sothing.
"Please take a seat, Lady Shen; make yourself comfortable."
"This is my ho; I don’t need to be polite," Lady Shen replied coolly.
"Yes, at your leisure," Tang Feng said, turning to head toward where he’d rest.
"You’re so rude! What’s the aning of this?" Lady Shen slamd the table in anger as Tang Feng ignored her.
"Lady Shen, how am I rude? If I’m tired and want to lie down, is there anything wrong with that? If you have sothing to say, just say it," Tang Feng replied.
"How dare you! This is my house; if I say you can’t stay, you can’t stay."
"Lady Shen, Auntie, please be reasonable. After all, I’m a guest; is this how you treat guests?" Tang Feng chuckled.
"Hmph, a guest? It’s generous enough that I haven’t kicked you out yet. Now, tell , what do you want?" Lady Shen glared at Tang Feng, ready to fight if he didn’t back down.
"Lady Shen, you shouldn’t be looking to ; go talk to your daughter. As long as she’s willing to stay, I won’t say a word against it," Tang Feng said seriously.
"Hmph, you know she won’t stay, which is why you’re acting like this. What did you give her that she won’t even listen to or care about family matters?" Lady Shen couldn’t fathom it; her daughter had always been obedient, never acting like she did upon returning this ti.
"It’s her mindset that’s changed. She’s seen a lot and won’t be content with staying in one place. Lady Shen, if I were you, I’d be happy. Your girl is so ambitious; why don’t you see that as a good thing?"
"What, I lack insight? I’ve eaten more salt than you’ve eaten rice. Boy, I get it; it’s your sweet talk that’s lured my daughter away. Leave now, or I’ll kick you out myself," she spat.
"Then please do," Tang Feng laughed nonchalantly.
"You brought this on yourself; don’t bla ." Lady Shen attacked, and her strength wasn’t weak, at least Deep Space Realm Peak. She had hidden well.
Before, Tang Feng hadn’t noticed; if he hadn’t broken through to the Vast Universe Realm, he might really be thrown out now.
Won, they can be truly dangerous sotis.
Lady Shen underestimated Tang Feng; she was confident when she attacked, even intending to harm him.
The killing intent was sensed by Tang Feng, making him quite unhappy. If she rely tried to throw him out, he’d understand, but going for the kill was not sothing he could easily overlook.
Seeing her mature figure, a smirk tugged at his lips. He suddenly appeared before her, and she was so startled she tried to retreat a few steps, clearly frightened.
The difference between reality and her expectations was enough to make her consider fleeing.
But how could Tang Feng let her go? He reached out and caught her in his arms.
The impact made her heart tremble slightly.
