Zhang Hao had just returned to his office when he received a phone call from his superior.

"There’s an ergency case that needs your attention imdiately," the superior said, "but without you, there would be no one on duty in the hospital."

However, the superior couldn’t find a better person for the job.

"Just go and co back quickly," the superior instructed, "This patient has always been treated at our hospital."

"They’ve had a bit of an ergency today; you just need to go over and help with an IV."

Zhang Hao was half-convinced and checked the patient’s dical history, sensing that sothing was strange.

Still, he followed the superior’s order, grabbed the dicine and basic equipnt, and went to the ergency departnt.

After a brief discussion with the ambulance driver, they headed to the patient’s ho for treatnt.

Upon arriving, they discovered it was the finest residential complex in the city center.

Everyone said it was a wealthy neighborhood, with each house costing tens of millions in cash.

Even an ambulance had to thoroughly convince the security at the gate, flipping through the household registration book more than ten tis to ensure they weren’t a threat before being allowed to enter.

When they arrived, they t a woman wrapped in a silk shawl, wearing a pale pink, pearl-gloss nightgown underneath.

On her feet were soft-soled fabric slippers.

"Are you Sun Wei’s family?" the driver asked.

The woman gathered her sowhat disheveled hair and nodded, "Yes, I am his wife, sothing wasn’t quite right with him after he went to bed tonight."

"That’s why I called your hospital, please co upstairs and have a look at him."

The dical records indicated that Sun Wei was a typical diabetes patient, already in need of strict dication control in his forties.

But he was a businessman, inevitably engaged in social entertaining.

Even with utmost caution, accidents would still occur frequently.

So, such incidents were actually not uncommon.

Following the woman into the house, they found Sun Wei lying in the bedroom.

Seeing his obese body and then looking at his pretty and delicate wife,

Zhang Hao felt that fate was truly unfair.

After examining Sun Wei, the blood sugar level didn’t show any significant fluctuations.

But other complications couldn’t be ruled out, so they started with the dication he had been prescribed to observe.

During this period of observation, Sun Wei’s wife was busy boiling water and making tea and running back and forth.

At the sa ti, she was worried about her husband’s health and whether there would be any mishaps.

After much hustle and bustle, Sun Wei’s condition finally seed to improve a bit.

"Doctor Zhang, thank you so much," she said, "If you hadn’t co, I really wouldn’t have known what to do."

As Zhang Hao was packing up, he said, "Next ti this happens, just call an ambulance. The treatnt at the hospital is more comprehensive."

Looking at Zhang Hao, Sun Wei’s wife suddenly asked, "Why do you look familiar to ?"

Zhang Hao was taken aback; he was one hundred percent sure it was his first eting with Sun Wei’s wife.

If she said she had seen him before, then it must have been in the news online.

"I attended a dical conference held by the province a few days ago. You might have seen on the news,"

Zhang Hao said calmly.

Sun Wei’s wife nodded vigorously, "That’s right, that’s right. And I heard you also practice Chinese dicine, is that true?"

Upon hearing Sun Wei’s wife’s question, Zhang Hao knew that his little secret couldn’t stay hidden any longer.

After her repeated entreaties, he decided to use Chinese dicine acupuncture to treat her husband.

Though this was sowhat against the rules, as a doctor, he couldn’t just do nothing when a patient was pleading for help.

Luckily, he had brought an acupuncture kit with him, so he gave Sun Wei a few needles right there and then.

After a few injections, Sun Wei finally woke up and saw a doctor standing in front of him, which made him think sothing was amiss.

"Husband, husband, it’s okay, it’s okay, it’s the hospital’s doctor coming to see you," she said.

Hearing his wife’s voice, Sun Wei cald down and looked up at the IV bag hanging above him.

Only then did he realize he had another close brush with death that evening.

The ambulance driver went down first with the equipnt, while Sun Wei asked his wife to take money from the drawer.

Then he personally saw the man off.

He was not mobile enough now to escort them himself.

Zhang Hao took the money and checked Sun Wei’s pulse again, reminding him that if he wanted to avoid such situations in the future,

the best thod would be to start by losing weight and maintaining a normal body shape.

He should also strictly follow the doctor’s prescription, take his dications diligently, and not have any resistance in his mind.

Sun Wei understood all this, but sotis work was so busy that he always forgot to take his dicine.

However, this dangerous episode had made him rember.

"I do need to take good care of my body. Jia Yi is still young, and I can’t neglect her feelings," he said.

"Doctor Zhang, I heard that traditional Chinese dicine is amazing. Can you help enhance my male potency?" he asked.

"Like maybe drinking so ’three animal wine,’ you see, I’m not that old," he added.

"I’ve still got to live another twenty or thirty years at least. I can’t be subpar all these years."

"Look at my wife, she’s only thirty this year. I don’t want a green hat on my head in the future," he said candidly.

Zhang Hao felt Sun Wei’s words were a bit too exaggerated.

Moreover, since the mont he entered, Zhang Hao’s eyes had been on Sun Wei.

He simply had no extra ti to check out Sun Wei’s wife, Jia Yi.

Upon another look, Sun Wei’s wife indeed appeared strikingly attractive, with curves in all the right places, neither fat nor thin, with a round bust, a slim waist, and a pert behind.

Particularly those long legs with evenly defined muscles.

"It seems Mr. Sun must have been very handso in his youth," Zhang Hao comnted.

Sun Wei laughed heartily at Zhang Hao’s remark.

In fact, it was quite accurate. He had only gradually beco overweight due to the demands and fatigue of building up his business.

On the bedside, there was their wedding photo, in which Sun Wei looked youthful and handso.

This couldn’t help but make Zhang Hao sigh at how ti is indeed a double-edged sword.

"There you go talking nonsense in front of outsiders again, Old Sun. If you keep it up, I won’t pay you any mind," his wife retorted.

Sun Wei chuckled and, holding Jia Yi’s hand, said, "I’m also considering your feelings; you’re still young."

"What if I can’t satisfy your needs? I can’t just think about myself."

"Drinking that three animal wine won’t help. Before you think about improving any aspect, what Mr. Sun needs to manage first is his obesity," the doctor advised.

"After that’s taken care of, I’ll set up a detailed health and wellness plan for you."

At the ntion of a solution, Sun Wei imdiately grinned from ear to ear.

In the end, Jia Yi personally escorted Doctor Zhang to the building’s exit.

"Doctor Zhang, don’t take my husband’s words to heart. Drive safely on your way back, and I really don’t know how to thank you enough for tonight," she expressed.

"When we have the ti, my husband and I will definitely invite you for a al, and we hope you will grace us with your presence," she added.

Doctor Zhang, of course, could not refuse such an invitation, but he also couldn’t accept right away.

"As long as the patient recovers, that’s the biggest thank you I can receive. Go back and take care of your husband. We should be heading back too," he said.

As Zhang Hao got into the car, the driver clicked his tongue twice and said, "You lucky guy, not lacking in charm, eh?"
