"Or have the hospital prepare it for you, two bags every day, one in the morning and one in the evening,"
The female patient took the prescription Zhang Hao had written, glanced at it out of habit, and noticed that the handwriting was quite good.
She couldn’t help but remark, "It seems that writing prescriptions in Chinese dicine is quite different from Western dicine. Over there, it’s like hieroglyphics, but here in Chinese dicine, it’s written very clearly."
Such complints were of little significance to Zhang Hao, who would rather be told his prescription writing was good or his artistic flair was high.
The female patient couldn’t help coughing twice; she had wanted to chat with Zhang Hao a bit more.
But her body couldn’t take it, and she hurried off with the prescription in hand.
With her departure, the departnt imdiately quieted down.
One patient after another ca in, and Zhang Hao treated each with utmost seriousness.
The number of patients coming for treatnt always varied, sotis more, sotis less.
When there were no patients, Zhang Hao got up and moved around.
After all, sitting in a chair all day without moving was quite a test of endurance.
During a break, Zhang Hao paid a visit to the surgery departnt.
As soon as he arrived, quite a few of the new nurses were attracted to him.
Seeing him co over, the Director of Surgery thought there was so urgent matter in Chinese dicine that needed his help.
"You’re a rare visitor, why have you co over this ti?"
Zhang Hao looked around and noticed that there were quite a few patients in the surgery departnt, too.
"There are no patients at the mont, just getting so exercise, and I thought I’d co over to see you guys."
"You’re so kind-hearted, don’t tell a patient wore you out, and you’ve co here to vent your frustration?"
Zhang Hao leaned back, "Do I look like that kind of person? Even if I really wanted to vent,"
"I could just call you alone, no need to involve so many innocent people along with you."
The Director of Surgery frowned at Zhang Hao’s words, which were indeed a bit detrintal to his prestige in the departnt.
But considering Zhang Hao had recently helped with quite a few surgeries, he swallowed the complaint.
"Alright, alright, my mistake. So, you really just ca here to drop by?" the Director asked.
"The nurse from my departnt, Lin Wan, resigned. I went to ask the leadership, and they said they didn’t know the reason for her resignation. Phone and WeChat ssages can’t reach her; it’s got a bit worried."
Facing this issue, the Director of Surgery was quite calm.
"Isn’t it normal for employees to co and go in a hospital? You don’t think a nurse is going to work at the sa position for a lifeti, do you?"
"Of course, there are cases like that, but considering the current situation, there are so many other jobs she can do well."
"It’s not necessary to stick to one position for a lifeti. Maybe she had so irresistible reasons and chose this ruthless way to say goodbye to everything here."
Hearing the Director of Surgery say this, Zhang Hao had no choice but to accept this as the way things were.
"I won’t disturb your work anymore. I’ll invite you for tea when I have so ti."
Zhang Hao walked out of the departnt, and not far away, a young nurse caught up with him.
Zhang Hao turned around, and the nurse, unable to brake in ti, ran straight into his arms.
Zhang Hao quickly reached out to steady her, "What’s wrong?"
The nurse pulled out a notebook, flipped it open to a page, "Are you our hospital’s Chinese dicine director, Zhang Hao? Could you give an autograph and take a photo with ?"
Zhang Hao looked around; this was a hospital, not so celebrity chasing scene.
Instinctively wanting to decline, the head nurse suddenly passed by, eyeing the two of them for a while.
"Qiao, you’ve succeeded in your fan chase today. Our Mr. Zhang seldom cos over here, and you ran into him on just your second day. You’re quite lucky."
Seeing that the head nurse had said so, Zhang Hao also changed his mind.
He signed his na in the notebook and took a photo with her.
The young nurse was completely satisfied, gazing intently at the character on the page, even gently caressing it with her hand.
Zhang Hao didn’t think much of it, returning alone to his departnt to see patients.
He worked until late, changed his clothes, left the hospital, and walked towards the parking lot.
Halfway there, he saw a familiar face. At first, Zhang Hao couldn’t believe his eyes, but as he approached and Lin Wan greeted him, he confird he had not been mistaken.
In an instant, Zhang Hao asked the question that had been bothering him for several days.
Why did you suddenly resign?
Lin Wan, who usually didn’t like to wear her hair down, had let her long hair flow loosely today.
She looked even more gentle and attractive.
However, it wasn’t dark yet, and Zhang Hao could still see so blue marks at the corner of Lin Wan’s eye.
"If I didn’t resign, what should I have done? It was my fault for calling you that night."
"But I was feeling really troubled at the ti, and later when I got ho, I was thoroughly scolded by him."
"To have a peaceful life from now on, I had no choice but to leave this environnt."
"I’m leaving tonight, and it’s not likely that we’ll et again. Can we sit down and have a al together? I don’t have much ti."
From the tone of Lin Wan’s speech, Zhang Hao faintly felt that she must have snuck out.
So, her ti was limited, as she needed to return before her husband got ho.
"Sure, what do you want to eat? It’s on ."
They found a roadside restaurant, ordered several dishes, most of which were Lin Wan’s favorites.
But by the ti they left, almost none of the food had been touched.
Through their conversation, Zhang Hao learned that Lin Wan had once harbored special feelings for him.
Comparatively speaking, Zhang Hao, as a man, was a little slow in realizing this.
He had never thought that a simple action like posting a status on a friend’s social dia could have such a big impact on Lin Wan.
Even apologizing at this point seed to change nothing.
In the end, Lin Wan bid a friendly farewell to Zhang Hao, but watching her receding figure, he felt sowhat desolate and lonely.
At this mont, Zhang Hao also felt like he might be the bad guy.
It looked like from now on he would have to maintain a certain distance from female colleagues at work, to avoid repeating tragedies like the one with Lin Wan.
Yet Zhang Hao felt such a possibility was extrely unlikely.
Even if he had no wish for contact beyond that of colleagues with the opposite sex, he couldn’t stop others from initiating it.
This was a great test of his resolve, an area where Zhang Hao was clearly lacking.
Thinking this, Zhang Hao quickly doubled back to the parking lot, found his car, and drove ho.
As he entered, he saw He Qianhui busy in the kitchen.
Zhang Hao, unbuttoning his shirt, hastened to the kitchen.
He scooped He Qianhui up sideways. Uncertain of what had happened, she began to struggle nervously.
"What’s going on? What’s all this about? Why the sudden outburst?"
Locking eyes with Zhang Hao, He Qianhui could see a fire burning in his eyes.
A bad premonition suddenly welled up inside her, and the next second Zhang Hao turned and carried her into the bedroom.
