Lin Wan shuddered all over, "I’m not envious at all. Hurry up and get out, there are still a bunch of patients outside."
"You’ve been away so much recently because of that competition you’re entering, a lot of patients have been looking for you. Now that you’re finally seeing patients today, just hurry up and treat them."
Seeing Lin Wan so considerate of the patients was a rare sight.
Zhang Hao thought he had heard wrong.
"Is this the Nurse Lin I know, who’s actually beco considerate of patients now? This is really surprising."
With Zhang Hao’s sarcastic remark, Lin Wan placed her hands on her hips, "The benevolence of a dic, isn’t that what you taught ? Besides, I am a nurse after all, don’t belittle too much."
The two of them planned to chat more in the consultation room, but Doctor Wang had already co in with a patient.
"Mr. Zhang, you’re still here?"
Zhang Hao quickly took off his rubber gloves, "I’m leaving now!"
After coming out, Zhang Hao nonchalantly sat down when Qin Miaoke bounded over.
"Zhang Hao, I’m here to see you."
The sudden call of Zhang Hao’s full na made everyone glance in his direction.
But Qin Miaoke didn’t seem to care at all.
And Zhang Hao knew that the managent would definitely arrange for Qin Miaoke to be by his side.
After all, they shared that special connection.
"Is everything arranged?"
"Yes, from now on I’ll be your personal nurse. If you need anything, just let know."
"The leadership also said you should train well. But your Traditional Chinese dicine departnt looks quite impressive. The hospital’s leadership values you a lot, huh?"
Qin Miaoke had no idea what kind of presence Zhang Hao was to this hospital.
At that mont, Lin Wan ca out of the consultation room.
She picked up the conversation, "Of course, if it weren’t for Mr. Zhang, the hospital would still be in that old rickety building."
Qin Miaoke was of course clueless, asking with a puzzled face, "Is that true? I was wondering how this hospital has been open for so long, yet the building seems as if it’s brand new. It turns out it’s a recent move, but what does that have to do with you?"
Zhang Hao leaned back, "How can it not be related? If it wasn’t for my performance at that exchange event."
"I wouldn’t have t your grandfather, nor a dical sponsor, and it would not have been possible to turn everyone from Cinderella to a phoenix."
Upon hearing this, Qin Miaoke roughly got the picture, "So that’s how it is. I thought there was sothing more extraordinary."
"What could be extraordinary? Just find a seat and sit down," said Zhang Hao,
before he could finish speaking, a patient ca up, explicitly asking for Zhang Hao to treat him.
Another Traditional Chinese dicine practitioner was also busy, and only Zhang Hao was relatively free.
After checking the pulse and asking so questions, it turned out to be a very common minor ailnt, and taking the prescribed dicine for a couple of days would naturally make it better.
Until the end of the workday, Qin Miaoke, like a curious baby, kept asking all sorts of questions by Zhang Hao’s side.
Zhang Hao was very patient in answering her.
As soon as it was ti to leave work, Zhang Hao hurriedly left the hospital, not willing to stay a second longer.
Qin Miaoke also left with him. Qin Miaoke wanted to invite Zhang Hao to dinner, but he declined.
"My family is waiting for at ho. Let’s reschedule the dinner. How about we do it after this city’s dical exchange event? I’ll treat you then."
Both being straightforward people, they set the plan just like that.
"Okay, then take care on your way ho. See you tomorrow."
As Zhang Hao was about to start his car, Lin Wan hurried up to him.
"Mr. Zhang, wait a second."
Hearing Lin Wan’s call, Zhang Hao rolled down the window again, "What is it?"
"Mr. Zhang, can I hitch a ride with you? I’m in a bit of a rush to go sowhere," said Lin Wan with an expression that suggested she was not joking.
Zhang Hao naturally didn’t mind.
After all, their relationship, though not that of a couple, was akin to one.
Seeing this, Qin Miaoke was a bit puzzled, wondering why with such developed transportation one would need to mooch a ride off a colleague. It must just be to save money.
She was not that kind of person.
Watching Zhang Hao’s car drive away, Qin Miaoke walked to the curbside and hailed a taxi to go ho.
While driving, Zhang Hao occasionally glanced at Lin Wan sitting in the passenger seat.
"What wire got crossed in your head today?" he asked.
"I really have sothing urgent. In a bit, we’ll make a trip to the mall because I need to buy two outfits. My cousin is getting married in a few days, and I need to be her bridesmaid," Lin Wan explained.
Zhang Hao raised an eyebrow and said, "I’ve heard that if you’re a bridesmaid too often, you’ll never get married yourself. How many tis have you done it?"
Upon hearing this, Lin Wan went straight for him with a hit, while Zhang Hao dodged symbolically.
"I’m just joking; don’t take it seriously," he said.
"I think you’re really hoping that I don’t get married, that’s why you said that. If push cos to shove, you can just marry ," Lin Wan retorted.
"Anyway, our relationship is so ambiguous, it might be better just to make it official," she added.
Shaking his head, Zhang Hao responded, "Don’t you think of trapping in a grave; I still want to be a roar outside the walls of matrimony."
Hearing Zhang Hao say this, Lin Wan couldn’t help but sigh.
"They say all n are pigs, and it really is true," she lanted.
After dropping Lin Wan off at the mall, Zhang Hao intended to go straight ho.
But she pulled him into helping her choose clothes.
After selecting a few outfits, all of which looked quite nice, there was naturally not only a bridesmaid dress but also wedding dresses.
With Zhang Hao’s approval, Lin Wan tried on a wedding dress.
When the clerk drew back the curtain, Lin Wan stood before him in a pure, ethereal white wedding dress.
"Zhang Hao, what do you think of this dress? Does it look good?" she asked.
The mont Zhang Hao saw the wedding dress, an inappropriate image ca to mind.
He quickly coughed twice and said, "It’s not bad, quite pretty indeed."
But those words clearly disgruntled Lin Wan.
"What’s that supposed to an? You barely gave it a glance before deciding it looks good. This dress doesn’t suit at all; my arms are too chubby," she protested.
"Not chubby, just right," Zhang Hao walked over to gently adjust her dress.
Then, he whispered into her ear, "Don’t you think doing sothing indescribable with you in a wedding dress would be quite thrilling?"
Upon his words, Lin Wan’s face turned red and her heart raced, but with the clerk nearby, she dared not show too much.
She playfully hit Zhang Hao a couple of tis.
"I’m going to change now, and you better get rid of those improper thoughts," she said.
Reluctantly, Lin Wan changed out of the wedding dress and back into the bridesmaid gown.
Out of the blue, Zhang Hao asked, "Does your friend need a groomsman for her wedding?"
Lin Wan gasped, almost tumbling off the platform.
"What are you up to? You’re not thinking of being a groomsman, are you?" she asked.
"Why not? If you can be a bridesmaid for your cousin, why can’t I volunteer as a groomsman?" he replied.
"Besides, I’ve heard groomsn can brazenly flirt with bridesmaids. Don’t you want that?"
"As the saying goes, ’don’t let your own water irrigate another’s field.’ Better I’m the beneficiary than those guys," he teased.
