Unperturbed at heart, untroubled in emotions—who can truly achieve that?
Bang, bang, bang, bang—sounds kept ringing in Qi Weiwei's ears.
Her beautiful eyes carried a hint of disbelief, with the sound of firecrackers—bang, bang, bang, and before the teaching building, the small plaza had countless candles arranged into a heart shape, surrounded by red roses, making her cover her cute little mouth and her heart also fluttered.
This way of expressing romance in university, Queen Qi had seen before, but it was always others; back in her school days, she was known for her tomboy image, any guy daring to write her a small note risked being beaten up in minutes.
Actually, in her heart, Qi Weiwei also longed to experience romance just once by a prince charming.
Cao, with a sunny smile on his face and dressed in a black suit with his fair and handso complexion, looked exactly like the rich, handso prince charming from TV dramas with a Land Rover parked beside the small plaza.
He held in his hands ninety-nine roses, walking from beside the Land Rover to in front of Queen Qi and knelt on one knee.
"Weiwei, I don't ask that you agree to marry now, I only hope you can give a chance to be your boyfriend, or perhaps a reserve mber, all right?" Cao held up the roses high, gazing deeply as he spoke.
Queen Qi bit her red lip; the romantic atmosphere attracted quite a number of university students to watch.
Seeing Queen Qi hesitate, Cao made a subtle eye signal towards the crowd which imdiately got several hidden bystanders to instigate: "Say yes to him, marry him."
University students are a kind-hearted group but often easily swayed by emotions, till they step into society and gradually develop rationality under the wear of fa and reality.
With soone's instigation, soon most of the crowd joined in: "Say yes to him, marry him."
Hearing the tidal wave of encouragent around her, Queen Qi truly hesitated, but she still refused to speak, even if she was disappointed in that person, deep down there was still a hint of fantasy.
Cao slightly furrowed his brows, realizing that conquering Sister Qi would require so stronger tactics.
"Sister Qi, I only ask to be a reserve mber, willing to wait no matter how long, one year, two years, three years, five years, or perhaps ten years, although that's a long ti, I might be forced to marry due to family pressures, but in my heart, Sister Qi will always be the one."
"I'm foolish and not good with sweet words, all I can say is, for Sister Qi, I'm willing to give everything, even my own life."
As Cao's words ended, everyone around looked at Qi Weiwei with great envy, and so female university students were even moved by such heartfelt words, unable to help thinking that if it were them, they would imdiately agree, for where else could one find such a devoted, handso, rich prince charming?
"I… still cannot forget the past, I'm sorry, Cao." Queen Qi said through clenched teeth.
Cao forcefully suppressed his disappointnt, smiled slightly, shrugged his shoulders, and said gentlemanly: "It's okay, I'll wait, thank you, Sister Qi, for letting be a reserve. This is my fortune and honor."
Queen Qi felt she owed Cao too much.
On the other side.
In the hallway, Lucifer who was prepared to shoot frowned as the banging sounds outside made him suddenly tense up.
"Who's shooting outside? Could it be Tianren Buer? Impossible, he seldom uses firearms, he's best with bombs and bare-handed killing techniques…"
Because of Cao's romantic proposal, Nangong Wuyue got a temporary respite and survival chance. Taking advantage of Lucifer being off guard, he swiftly sprinted around the corner.
Lucifer shook his head and leisurely chased after him, in his mind, Nangong Wuyue was already a dead man.
Nangong Wuyue stumbled as she ran out of the classroom building, and seeing a large crowd of students gathered outside, she breathed a sigh of relief. Surely, even a bold assassin wouldn't dare to shoot in such a crowd, right?
"I need to find a way to call the police quickly..."
Nangong Wuyue quickly dialed the ergency number and shouted, "Officer, soone is shooting people at the school, I'm not joking, at Huadu University, he's chasing ."
After hanging up the phone, Nangong Wuyue blended into the crowd.
A gunshot rang out—
Nangong Wuyue turned around abruptly, shocked, as a student with wide, innocent eyes started bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound on his forehead, helplessly collapsing to the ground.
She looked towards Lucifer and was stunned to find him looking back at her, their eyes eting for a mont. At that mont, Nangong Wuyue felt like she was being stared down by a terrifying wild beast.
"He dares to kill people in public... Does he, he disregard the law?"
Lucifer's next actions seed to confirm Nangong Wuyue's thoughts.
He slowly raised his guns, aiming towards the area where Nangong Wuyue was in the crowd, revealing a cruel smile.
A cold breeze passed, and the air was suddenly filled with rapid and continuous gunfire.
Then, Lucifer took a grenade from his waist and threw it into the crowd.
Suddenly, before the crowd could react, the grenade exploded, sending shockwaves through the air. The fragnts and the blast, like a flower woven from fresh blood, blood spectacularly in the crowd.
Screams erupted.
Cao was still pondering how to conquer Queen Qi, when the crowd's screams brought his attention back, and he saw blood gushing everywhere.
"What... what's happening?" Cao was stunned.
Queen Qi reacted much faster, sensing sothing was amiss, and instinctively pulled out a gun from behind her.
Lucifer, who was indiscriminately firing, continued to throw grenades into the crowd, his eyes filled with excitent and pleasure, not having killed so recklessly in a long ti.
Continuous explosions and cries of agony surrounded Nangong Wuyue. She crouched down, wanting to get away, when she saw a female student being pushed down in the crowd, trying to get up.
"Fellow student, let help you," Nangong Wuyue hurriedly ran towards the girl.
A gunshot sounded—just as her hands were about to grasp the girl's arms, a bullet rcilessly passed through the female student's head, splattering a trail of blood.
The female student's arm hung mid-air as she slowly collapsed, her disbelieving gaze before death shattered Nangong Wuyue's heart.
She turned her head, desperate to morize the face of the terrifying assassin, only to find him staring back at her, with a mocking smile on his lips, as if telling Nangong Wuyue he was rely playing a cat and mouse ga.
Another loud boom followed, a figure plunged straight down from the fifth floor of the school building.
During his free fall, this man in a black coat kept throwing various kinds of bombs, revealing himself to be the King of Violent Flas who had just set up explosive traps.
Cao's eyes widened as he saw several black objects falling onto his Land Rover, followed by a deafening noise, leaving the vehicle shattered.
