"Hmph, you're dead at." Li Erbao clenched his teeth, saying each word to Lin Hai deliberately.
Su Wanjing looked on coolly at Li Erbao and said, "What do you want to do?"
Li Erbao said angrily, "Miss Su, you committed assault in broad daylight. This incident must be compensated with money, and an apology is owed. Otherwise, heh, I'll have you detained imdiately."
These words were also ant for Su Wanjing to hear. He was still fantasizing about using his power to intimidate Su Wanjing into submission, then showing a bit of magnanimity afterward to both demonstrate his strength and win over Su Wanjing's heart.
However, Li Erbao had misjudged his opponent. Su Wanjing was certainly not the sort of ordinary girl he'd imagined.
How could the distinguished heiress of the Su Group, with a family fortune of tens of billions, friends who were either rich or noble, ever be afraid of a re precinct chief?
Su Wanjing gave him a cold glance and said, "Don't take it too far."
"Heh, compensate my ass, you won't be able to withstand it, brat." Lin Hai chuckled coldly.
"You dare curse ?"
"Curse you? What about it? I could beat you up anyti I want," Lin Hai said with a smile.
Li Erbao was instantly enraged and wanted to rush up to beat Lin Hai, but then he thought of sothing, and with anger turned to laughter, he said, "Kid, go ahead and hit , I dare you. I'll accuse you of assaulting an officer and have you rot in jail."
"Hit you?"
"Yeah, hit , co on, strike . Kill if you can, I beg you to hit , I'm begging you to kill . Co on, do you dare?"
Li Erbao's smug laughter rose; he didn't think this little security guard would dare to do anything reckless.
But before he could laugh enough, he suddenly felt a blow to the lower abdon as if struck by a cannonball. Severe pain rapidly spread throughout his body, almost making him pass out.
Instantly, the forrly smug Li Erbao fell to the ground, gasping for air as his body curled up like a shrimp, his mouth and eyes wide open, panting heavily.
"This is the first ti I've ever encountered such a ridiculous character, actually asking to be hit, heh." Lin Hai laughed.
Li Erbao had originally wanted to put on a tough front to nd his bruised ego, but in an instant, he was reduced to a dog by Lin Hai, suddenly panicking and waving his hands, letting out a shrill scream.
Lin Hai strode forward, his powerful hand gripping Li Erbao's neck and lifting him single-handedly.
Li Erbao's feet dangled in the air, his breathing rapid, and his eyes showed imnse terror.
Su Wanjing suddenly rembered the first ti she t Lin Hai and those incredibly strong arms, now once again displayed before her eyes.
"Shut up, or die," Lin Hai said brutally to the terrified Liu Bitch Liu.
"Yes, yes... *cough cough cough cough*" Li Erbao struggled to breathe with his neck constricted, his eyes filled with terror as he managed to squeeze out the words from his gaping mouth.
Lin Hai let go.
With a thud, Li Erbao's legs gave out, and he sat on the ground, gasping for air, looking at Lin Hai with lingering fear.
Curled up on the ground, Li Erbao looked at Lin Hai in terror as he approached step by step, hastily yelling in panic, "Don't, don't co over, I'm the precinct chief of the New District, if you dare touch again, I'll arrest you right away."
Lin Hai was unfazed and continued to walk towards him, his figure overshadowing Li Erbao, and with a gentle kick to his lower abdon under his terrified gaze.
Imdiately, Li Erbao's eyes nearly popped out, a soul-splitting pain causing him to breathe heavily, with cold sweat pouring from his forehead.
Lin Hai raised his foot again.
Seeing this, Li Erbao's pupils suddenly shrank, and he began begging for his life in a wailing tone, "Ah, ah, ah, ow, uh-oh, big brother, I beg you, please stop hitting , I admit my mistake, I was wrong..."
"What a degenerate." Lin Hai snorted coldly.
"Enough, let's go," Su Wanjing took Lin Hai's arm, signaling it was ti to stop, else if the beating continued, Li Erbao might not die but would certainly be skinned.
The two walked out into the street, and Su Wanjing observed Lin Hai closely, feeling sowhat surprised. She had seen bodyguards in her family, so of whom claid to be top-notch experts from elite special forces, and their skills were indeed impressive.
But Lin Hai, with just an effortless kick, displayed speed so astonishing and accuracy so precise, it left people in awe.
"Were you a special forces soldier before?" Su Wanjing asked curiously. She didn't mind offending Li Erbao, for a re station chief could be easily dealt with a phone call from her that would take care of the aftermath for Lin Hai. However, she wouldn't say this out loud because she realized she had begun to care about Lin Hai's dignity and face from so point on, which also had an inevitable connection with the nurturing from her gentle and kind mother.
"Nothing of the sort, I used to do logistics support, working in the kitchen, smashing coal and chopping vegetables," Lin Hai said with an expression of 'embarrassnt'.
Su Wanjing didn't press on, but her woman's intuition told her that Lin Hai was definitely not just a logistic soldier who smashed coal and chopped vegetables as he claid.
"Li Erbao has always harbored improper thoughts towards , wanting to pursue through illegitimate ans, even attempting to help his superior's son, Xiao Jiba, to hit on ," Su Wanjing told Lin Hai.
"Actually, you didn't need to do this, offending him is not good for you," Su Wanjing said with concern after a pause.
Lin Hai nodded and said with a smile, "I don't like the look of him, so I took the opportunity to straighten him out."
"Just for that?" Su Wanjing fell silent for a mont, surprised that Lin Hai had taken action for her sake.
"Heh, I don't care if Li Erbao looks down on , but him trying to harass you is absolutely unacceptable. As long as I'm breathing, my friends will never be allowed to be insulted by others, unless they step over my dead body."
After finishing, Lin Hai looked toward the sky, his eyes filled with confusion that cloaked his heart, mories flooding in like a tide. Once upon a ti, that passionate self of his had made such promises to a band of brothers, saying similar words.
Looking back suddenly, things have changed, the brothers who once loyally fought beside him were reduced to just three or four. The rest lay buried in foreign lands, having given their brief youth and lives.
"..." Su Wanjing was silent. She saw sothing called grit in Lin Hai's figure.
The last thing a man should lack is grit. All across the big city, how many hot-blooded n are left these days?
"How about a drink?" Su Wanjing suddenly felt that only drinking could perhaps express that kind of feeling at the mont.
"A drink?"
"Yeah," Lin Hai replied with a laugh.
On the way to the bar, Lin Hai suddenly said to Su Wanjing, "By the way, Wanjing, stay away from that Li Erbao in the future."
"Why?"
"He's got that disease, and it's getting serious if not treated," Lin Hai explained.
That disease, Su Wanjing understood, must refer to so sexually transmitted diseases caused by certain unhealthy and unscrupulous sexual behaviors – everyone knows.
Su Wanjing was startled for a mont and asked curiously, "How do you know?"
"Heh, just so inconsequential dical skills. Traditional Chinese dicine emphasizes diagnosis through observation, and you can tell a lot from a person's facial appearance," Lin Hai explained with a smile.
"You understand dical skills?" Su Wanjing asked, sowhat surprised.
"Just a bit, just a bit," Lin Hai said pretentiously.
She was finding this man more and more enigmatic. Really just a simple security guard? Maybe not...
For soone's first ti in a bar, they might be attracted to that intoxicating feeling, gradually forgetting self and stress through the alcohol. Perhaps this was one of the reasons why people liked to frequent bars.
Of course, there was another reason: if you're lucky enough, you might encounter so lonely, exquisite beauty, and if the conversation goes well, you might make a date, doing so happy activities later at night.
Su Wanjing rarely went to bars, and even if she did, she would surely sit in a private booth, not much different from singing in a KTV. But today, she sat with Lin Hai in a small booth, watching the young people in the dance floor grooving wildly, screaming, and squandering their youth.
The bar was inherently a hunting ground for n, and under the alternating glimring lights, Su Wanjing's exceptional and endearing qualities set her apart from ordinary people, attracting the attention of many undesirable n who wouldn't miss such an opportunity.
A handso young man holding a wine glass approached, bowed slightly like a gentleman, gazing at Su Wanjing, and slowly said, "Esteed lady, may I have a drink with you?"
Lin Hai blinked, noticing the flash of disgust that flickered across Su Wanjing's eyes when she faced the gentleman-like man.
Then, Lin Hai laughed out loud, picked up two glasses, filled them with liquor without mixing anything, and said to the gentlemanly young man, "If you want to drink with my wife, you have to pass first. Co on, knock down and then we'll talk."
