Michael was still a little uncomfortable in the end. But Wendy personally ca to the company and brought him food.

Michael’s heart was softened sowhat.

Wendy was leaving tomorrow, and they both knew that no one could convince anyone.

The next day, when Wendy woke up, Michael was no longer at ho.

On the bedside, there was a sticky note.

Wendy looked at the beautiful handwriting on it, which said, "I’m not going to see you off because of so business, have a good trip."

Wendy had mixed feelings when she read the simple line.

It seed that there was no way to ease the relationship between her and Michael before she left.

Leah and Jake would definitely like to see Wendy off today. Last night, they requested leave and did not go to class in the morning.

Zess arrived at the airport with the two kids.

Wendy stood at the ticket gate and hugged Leah and Jake with so reluctance.

Leah’s big eyes were full of tears and she sniffled and said, "Lynn promised Jake last night that I wouldn’t cry today. I’m sorry mommy. Lynn couldn’t help it ..."

Wendy reached out to dry her tears and comforted her by saying, "Mommy will be back soon, and we can still talk on the phone every day, right?"

"Yes." Leah reached up and wiped her tears and said, "Mommy we’re going to talk on the phone every day."

Jake took Leah’s hand and held it tightly and said, "Leah, I’ll wait with you for Mommy to co back."

"Okay." Leah took the initiative and let go of Wendy’s hand as she held back her tears and said, "Mommy, you can go inside."

Wendy took a deep breath and looked at the airport full of people, but didn’t see the figure she was familiar with.

Was Michael really not going to co and see her off?

"Wendy ...," Zen ran over from a distance and stood still as she panted heavily to catch her breath as she said, "I finally made it."

Zen reached out and patted her chest as she said, "You didn’t even tell you were leaving. I didn’t even know you were going to HG. If I had been a little later, I wouldn’t have been able to see you off."

"I won’t be gone long. I’ll be back soon." To Zen, Wendy no longer had the sa friendship as before.

Their friendship had waned a bit.

"I’ll wait for you." Zen reached out and patted Wendy’s shoulder.

The sound of Wendy’s flight check rang out on the radio behind her.

Her gaze landed in the middle of the crowd again.

It seed that her leaving this ti had really hurt Michael quite a lot.

Wendy carried her suitcase and waved at them with a forced smile as she said, "Bye."

Leah sniffled and waved her little hand at Wendy.

Then she hugged Jake, buried her little head at his shoulder, and let out a cry.

The mont Wendy turned around, Zen’s voice rang in her ears, "Mr. Lucas?"

"Daddy, you’re finally here," Jake spoke with so delight.

Jake knew that the two of them were at odds because of what happened when Mommy left.

Jake was relieved to see his Daddy here now.

Wendy imdiately looked back and sure enough, she saw Michael standing behind her.

Wendy thought she would be tough, but the mont she saw Michael, her eyes got a little teary.

"You’re finally here." Wendy had put off boarding the plane until now, just to wait for Michael to co.

"I’m sorry." Michael walked up and took her in his arms.

"I’m the one who’s sorry." Wendy’s tears slid down Michael’s suit, wetting it, and she said, "When I get back, I promise I won’t leave Lake City again, okay?"

Michael hugged Wendy tightly and let out a soft muffled whisper.

He had made up his mind that he didn’t want to co to see Wendy off.

He didn’t want to face the scene of separation. But when he thought of Wendy leaving for three months, Michael couldn’t help but co to the airport.

Fortunately, Wendy hadn’t boarded yet, so it wasn’t too late.

Behind him, the announcent for boarding once again sounded.

Michael let go of Wendy and waved at her as he said, "Just go to work. I’ll take care of the children, so don’t worry. When you get off the plane, send a ssage to let know you’re okay."

"Okay." Wendy took her suitcase in one hand, wiped her tears with the other, and turned to board the plane.

Leah had restrained her emotions earlier, but now she burst into tears as soon as Wendy left.

Michael bent down and picked her up, kissed her cheeks, and said in a low voice, "Let’s wait for Mommy to co back together."

After Wendy boarded the plane, they naturally had to leave as well.

"Then I’ll leave first. Bye, everyone." Zen’s relationship with Wendy was a bit complicated, and her relationship with Michael was even less of a friendship.

Strictly speaking, they were even considered hostile.

So once Wendy left, Zen slipped away first.

Zen arrived at the parking lot and saw a familiar license plate number.

She frowned and approached, but was surprised to see that it was really Christian.

In the past, if Christian had seen Zen approaching, he would have covered up a bit.

Now, he rolled down the window and asked indifferently, "Is Wendy gone?"

Christian, who no longer even tried to conceal himself, made Zen laugh lightly.

"If you care so much about her, why didn’t you go see her off?" Zen’s tone was tinged with so sarcasm as she said, "Oh yeah, you’re afraid of bumping into your brother, right? After all, Wendy is your sister-in-law."

Christian’s stern look at Zen showed that he was on the verge of losing his temper.

Zen, on the other hand, was not as afraid of him as before, and the mockery in her eyes grew deeper and deeper.

"Christian, did you have anything to do with Wendy’s sudden departure this ti?"

Zen had a hunch that this ti Wendy left had sothing to do with him.

To Zen’s surprise, Christian did not retort nor did he even look for a pretext, but nodded directly and said, "Yes."

After saying that, Christian rolled up the car window.

As the window slowly rose, Christian said, "I’ll have the finance departnt approve the funding you requested yesterday, so you can target Collins Group."

"What?" Zen was filled with amazent when she heard Christian’s words.

"That’s one billion. Where did you get that much money?" Zen did not expect at all that Christian could really take out a billion.

The current DR Group was only one-tenth of its market value compared to half a year ago due to Michael’s suppression.

The liquidity was even less.

Not to ntion a billion, even a hundred million would be difficult to get.

However, Christian did not answer her at all.

Zen thought Christian might just be joking.

But when a billion dollars really appeared in the company’s account, she realized that Christian was not joking with her.

Zen imdiately called the CFO and said, "I want to check the source of the billion dollars."

"I’m sorry, but only the president has access to this."

"I just got the president’s permission to ask you." Zen lied.

But even so, the treasurer refused to relent and said, "I’m sorry Miss Tanner, but unless the president himself makes the inquiry, no one else has access."

The accountant kept his mouth shut, which made Zen more and more curious about the source of the money.

Where in the world did Christian get the money?
