The Rainbow Group, a behemoth of a corporation, had long predominated over the heads of common folk. Now, suddenly, soone stepped forward to challenge their authority, undoubtedly igniting the gossipmongers’ curiosity.
But soon amid the noisy clamor, the bus slowed down.
Arriving at Jinhua Station, the rear door opened.
Silent as a boulder, a shadow stirred, took steady steps, and walked out, carrying a bag of clothes.
The chatter ceased abruptly, everyone judiciously stepping back like a receding tide.
Not until he had vanished from their sight did the people resu their conversations.
...
"There’s quite a stir."
Entering the Martial Arts Hall, Chen Feng could hear such murmurs around him.
The oppressive might of the Rainbow Group was too great, and now under their pursuit, he assud that the entire Nanjiang City was aware of him.
"You’ve finally co."
Lin Hao appeared to have been waiting in the changing room, dressed in a grey sports tee, his face expressing a quiet grievance.
Yesterday’s incident was too sudden, but not entirely without warning.
Because earlier in the day, the other party had already inquired a lot about the Rainbow Group.
He should have seen it coming.
"Did Zhao Jiapeng offend you, or was it your friend?"
He asked openly, since the event had already occurred, Lin Hao avoided dwelling on the consequences, instead, more curious about the reason.
"Both."
Chen Feng said calmly, since both identities were his, this answer wasn’t exactly a lie.
"Okay, okay, your friend sure has a killer instinct."
Noticing Chen Feng’s reluctance to say more, Lin Hao didn’t press further.
He then glanced left and right to ensure no one else was around before whispering a word of caution, "There’s sothing I need to remind you about."
"Tell your friend to stay hidden and not to show his face again for the ti being."
Chen Feng paused at his words, looking at Lin Hao.
"Zhao Jianlong has already put pressure on the Security Bureau, using the Heavenly Eye System to issue a warrant and track your friend."
"This ti it’s serious, and the Rainbow Group has activated a full-scale search. It’s a big deal now, and there’s nothing I can do."
"Okay." Chen Feng nodded lightly, thanking Lin Hao for the reminder.
Perhaps it was because he had foreseen this, or perhaps because the sudden breakthrough of the Giant Tiger Technique gave him confidence.
So, he wasn’t too worried or anxious.
Instead, he thought of Xu Shan from yesterday, and contrasted him with that silver steel Transford Person from Utopia.
He was puzzled and curious.
As both were Transford People, why did their strengths differ so much?
"How exactly is the strength of Transford People classified?"
His eyes filled with curiosity, he looked at Lin Hao, taking the opportunity to ask.
Lin Hao answered after a brief silence.
"It’s complicated."
"There are two types of Transford People: biological modification and chanical augntation."
"The forr involves implantation of certain biological genes to alter the body, sowhat like those who inject Enhancing Potions, but more special and powerful, even capable of possessing certain unique Biological Abilities."
"The latter uses chanical technology, replacing flesh and blood with tal, incorporating various augntation modules, and equipping firepower devices..."
"I won’t go into the first type, they are rare in Nanjiang. It’s mainly the second type."
Serious in tone, Lin Hao patiently explained, "The levels are graded from low to high based on the hardness of the tal used, nad as Flying Copper, silver steel, Golden Steel..."
"This is just a rough standard, but it’s not definitive. It doesn’t necessarily represent the absolute hierarchy of strength."
"What do you an?" Chen Feng raised an eyebrow.
"As I said, Flying Copper, silver steel, Golden Steel, and so on, these levels are nad after the tals they correspond to."
"The higher the level, the harder the tal, capable of withstanding greater loads, and equipped with stronger firepower and armants."
"So, there’s a key aspect involved here."
With a serious expression, Lin Hao said, "Does it have an ard module installed?"
"Ard module?"
Chen Feng was slightly taken aback, then suddenly recalled the words of that silver-gray transford person.
He dared to attack Tianheng Society without an ard module?
"Yes, the ard module is the upper limit of a transford person’s strength; the stronger it is, the greater the destructive power."
"As for the tal material, a rough description would be the lower limit of strength. It serves as the foundation for carrying the ard module..."
"An ordinary Flying Copper Level transford person might have a basic strength of about one ton, but with an ard module activated, it could be several tis higher, and they can also activate various firepower modes, such as shooting bullets, small missiles, and so on..."
Upon hearing this, Chen Feng was surprised and realized that the Xu Shan he had killed yesterday probably didn’t have an ard module.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been killed so easily.
"Since the ard module is so important, why don’t all transford people have one?"
"It’s not that they don’t have it, it’s that they can’t."
With a sigh, Lin Hao shook his head and continued, "Once a fully transford person has an ard module, their individual firepower is extrely strong, capable of causing widespread destruction, which can easily harm the innocent."
"That’s why there are regulations in Chi Country stating that within city limits, except for a few law enforcent departnts, all transford people are not allowed to install ard modules."
"This is monitored by Heavenly Eye. Most urban areas in Chi Country have corresponding magnetic fields and energy monitoring. Should any anomalies be discovered, Heavenly Punishnt is activated to warrant their arrest or even execute them on the spot."
So that’s how it is.
Chen Feng’s confusion finally dissipated.
No wonder he’d always felt that there was sothing off about those transford people; despite being so formidable, they could only engage in close combat.
"Guess next ti I encounter a transford person, I’ll need to be more careful."
Chen Feng knew his own situation; he wasn’t a real transford person.
If he truly encountered an enemy with an ard module, it would definitely be troubleso.
...
Simultaneously.
Inside a tal chamber.
Around an oval table sat seven or eight figures, all wearing masks, with pins on their left chest resembling circular patterns.
"Zhao Jianlong’s youngest son is dead; it’s said that he’s already on his way back to Nanjiang City. Shall we try to intercept and kill him?"
"I think it’s a good idea. That way, Nanjiang City might descend into chaos, making it easier for us to activate the Golden Guard and repair all damages."
Voices of agreent rose, but soon enough, soone offered a different thought.
"Zhao Jianlong’s security is very strong. I heard that Dong Tao of Cha Chihu has been recruited by him."
Upon these words, the atmosphere turned silent for a mont.
"Heh, Dong Tao rejected us before, I did not expect him to end up being soone’s lapdog."
"Then who among you will confront him?"
No one answered.
Seeing this scene, a man wrapped in a silver robe and wearing a silver-gray mask spoke disdainfully from the corner.
"I’ll go!"
"I’ve long wanted to et Cha Chihu. I’m sick of the pile of shit happening in Nanjiang!"
"That won’t do."
The rebuttal ca just as he finished speaking.
Silver Wolf narrowed his eyes, about to erupt, but then saw the man sitting in the main seat with a slicked-back hairstyle speak up, "You are most familiar with the Golden Guard, and if you are not present during the repair process, it will be difficult for us to awaken it in the event it goes berserk."
His words caused Silver Wolf to remain silent.
"Besides, haven’t you always wanted to find that wild transford person?"
The slick-backed man, wearing a black patterned mask, spoke in a calm tone, "He has killed Zhao Jianlong’s son and is now being pursued by the Security Bureau and Rainbow Group together."
"Perhaps it won’t be long before we can find him."
Tempted by the persuasive tone, Silver Wolf squinted for a mont before finally standing up.
"Damn it, I hate playing mind gas with you guys."
"Let know when you find him!"
With a zing, the tal chamber briefly opened, and the silver figure departed.
The rest looked at each other, then returned to the original topic.
