Snake Spirit Continent, the central land.

Inside a massive structure built with square stones, shaped like a pyramid.

Snake-man warriors, exuding powerful auras, patrolled on staircases, clad in dark gold armor and wielding spears.

In the hollow central area, several stone statues stood unyielding.

Apart from the largest stone statue occupying the center, there were seven other snake-shaped statues of various forms surrounding it.

Moreover, beneath each statue lay a bone-crafted token, engraved with the nas of Saints.

So were as fierce and violent as a winged snake, others cold and lifeless with twin horns.

Yet, amidst this scene.

A group of figures in black-robed cloaks knelt beneath the statues, continuously chanting prayers about the greatness of the Snake God and the legendary tales of seated angels.

[You are all-powerful, one of the origins of chaos...]

[You are the creator of the Star Realm’s cycle, the initial starting point of all civilizations...]

A solemn voice echoed, filled with an unspeakable eeriness and majesty.

This contradictory scene seed destined to continue indefinitely.

But then.

Crack!!

An unusual noise sounded.

The solemn prayer abruptly ceased, and every black-robed snake-man turned to look at the statue ahead.

There was no visible anomaly, yet.

Crack, crack!

The sound of continuous shattering continued, drawing many snake-n’s gazes downward.

In an instant, pupils constricted, fixed on a majestic, boundless snake statue akin to the lord of earth rock beneath it.

The bone token symbolizing a Saint’s soul, shattered into pieces.

"This!!"

A snake-man’s face slightly changed, while the elder snake-man kneeling alone at the front squinted his eyes.

A bad premonition arose, and imdiately the sound of shattering reverberated again.

Soone’s heart trembled, taking another closer look.

It was clear under the statue of the Winged Serpent King.

The Saint’s token engraved with the na Barbarian Bone also shattered into pieces.

....

Buzz!!

An invisible gale sliced through the clouds.

After several days, even activating the Black Dream Mark.

Chen Feng stood on the shoulder of the Holy Shield Giant, traversing nurous desert oases and mountainous forests.

The Holy City was already not far, during which they encountered several snake-man teams.

"Lord Kali, there is a team of snake-n below. Should we engage?"

Soone suddenly spoke, noticing the movents of dozens of snake-n amidst the mountains below.

"Quick battle and quick resolution."

Kali nodded assent, seated on a nearby giant flying eagle.

Screech!!

In the blink of an eye, the flying eagle screeched, swooping down.

A Fifth Order Commander, along with several Fourth-Order Warriors, descended like heavenly soldiers, annihilating a formidable snake-man team within breaths.

Chen Feng silently observed the entire scene, without intervening.

He rely pondered over the situation he had witnessed throughout the journey, slightly frowning, feeling sothing was amiss.

"After we left."

"The Holy City, perhaps another war has erupted."

Oron solemnly remarked from the neighboring giant flying eagle, a sentint shared by Molly and other Holy City Warriors.

The closer they got to the Holy City, the more snake-man teams they encountered.

This clearly indicated preparations for another siege.

"These inhuman monsters are determined to exhaust us!"

Soone clenched a fist, a heavy expression, feeling oppressed.

Population, resources...

Every war depletes the strength of the Holy City.

If this continues, even the most resolute efforts will be eroded to the last essence of blood and foundation.

The atmosphere grew montarily silent, the elite soldiers on the ground quickly cleaned the battlefield, then returned to their ranks upon flying eagles.

"The eight great tribes of the snake-n, do they each have their own Saints?"

Perceiving the group’s oppression, Chen Feng voiced his doubts.

The situation in the Holy City seed overly passive.

He was even curious how such a human Holy Land had survived for so many years.

"The eight great tribes all carry the Snake God’s bloodline, their Saints never cease."

Oron spoke heavily, not concealing: "Whenever their high priest dies, a Fifth-Order Elder within the tribe receives so sort of revelation, making breakthroughs easier than for snake-n of other minor tribes."

This was known by many in the Holy City and wasn’t considered a secret.

With this, Chen Feng remained silent for a mont, yet his mind vaguely ford a hypothesis.

He had witnessed the power of the Holy Sword, most Saints were incapable of resisting its strike.

Perhaps, this was the reason the Holy City had endured for so long, or perhaps there existed other formidable foundations?

His thoughts passed by, then he glanced at the woman clad in green rattan armor on another giant flying eagle nearby.

This Thorny Army Commander nad Kali had spoken little throughout the journey.

Previously, he found her sowhat unusual, but days of perceiving observed no peculiarities.

The patterns on her face were sothing he had understood along the way.

They were the natural mark of Kali’s ability to communicate with plants, existing since her birth.

"And what of the Snake God Temple?" Chen Feng continued to ask.

Near the barrier, he hadn’t seen the high priests of the Huo Rong and Black Blade tribes, indicating these tribal Saints were not entirely in concert with the temple.

"The Snake God Temple houses at least seven Saint Elders, acting as agents of the Snake God and the angel."

"Additionally, there’s a Great Elder, rumored to be beyond a Saint.

Oron truthfully replied, as they continued their journey, cutting through the clouds.

Beyond a Saint? Chen Feng was slightly taken aback.

He recalled the Evil God Church files he had reviewed on Earth Star, especially concerning the Snake Spirit Sect.
