The discovery of the star was quickly put out of the minds of the one master and his five pets as they moved on and finally saw the outline of a ruin up ahead.
It was a collection of countless broken walls and ruins on a hillside, which one could determine at a glance, were definitely not traces left by Transcendent Beings, nor could they have ford naturally.
"Star, hurry!" Xu Ran urged excitedly.
He had a premonition that here, he could find answers to so questions.
For instance... in another world without Beast Masters, how did humans overco such powerful Transcendent Beings using what kind of power?
"Xi Lu~" (Okay!)
Sensing Xu Ran's excitent and anticipation, Star suddenly sped up its run.
In just a few breaths, the master and his five pets were standing before the ruins.
Looking at the ruins in front of him, Xu Ran's expression beca sowhat more vivid.
It was clear to see that the Earth Extraordinary Creatures here truly hated humans.
The ground was littered with stone dust and rubble no bigger than a knuckle, with various claw marks densely covering the occasional larger stones. This level of destruction left no possibility of repair.
"Cancan, see if there is anything worth noting."
"Chia~" (Okay.)
Cancan nodded and then an earthy yellow halo rippled like waves, covering the entire ruins.
The next mont, its eyes lit up.
"Chia!" (There's still sothing preserved here!)
As soon as its words fell, Cancan was already striding in a certain direction.
Xu Ran and the other four little ones brightened up and hurried to follow.
Before long, Cancan was atop a pile of rubble and stone dust.
Its two front paws rapidly and forcefully pushed aside the stone dust and rubble.
Seeing this, everyone, without a word, joined in to help.
As the rubble and stone dust were cleared away, the object beneath was revealed.
It was a stone brick, now crisscrossed with web-like cracks, broken into three large pieces and countless smaller ones but was still reasonably intact, allowing the ancient patterns drawn on it to be discerned.
"Is this what you found?" Xu Ran asked curiously.
The patterns on the stone brick indeed seed valuable for reference.
To his surprise, Cancan shook its head without hesitation.
"Chia!" (It's beneath the stone brick!)
"I'll do it." Xu Ran's expression shifted as he carefully moved the broken bricks aside, trying to keep them intact, and then peered beneath the stone brick.
Underneath the stone brick, there was a deep groove, within which lay a stone pillar.
From Xu Ran's position, he could only see the top and part of the side of the stone pillar, but even these glimpses were enough to shock him.
Because the material of this stone pillar was distinctly different from the surrounding rubble!

"Up you go!"
Xu Ran grabbed the top of the pillar and then his two arms forcefully exerted strength in an attempt to pull the pillar out from the groove.
But this simple act ended in failure.
It wasn't that his strength was insufficient, rather it seed like the other end of the pillar was fixed within the groove.
"Chia?" (Should we dig around it, the pillar will be exposed.)
Cancan couldn't help but suggest.
"Not yet, let think of another way," Xu Ran said, stroking his chin thoughtfully.
He stepped forward again and started to search around the top of the stone pillar.
Monts later, Xu Ran's expression flickered as he inserted his finger into a certain spot and applied a slight force.
With a crisp "click," the earth trembled slightly, accompanied by the sound of chanisms operating from underneath. Under the watchful eyes of the master and his pets, the stone pillar slowly rose.
Perhaps the rarity of Earth attribute Transcendent Beings in the relics ant that few had probed underground, which could be why this repeatedly destroyed place still had a functioning chanism.
Eventually, the trembling stopped, and Xu Ran and his pets did not hesitate to surround the newly risen stone pillar, standing three ters tall, observing it carefully.
At the top and bottom of the stone pillar were so exquisite bas-reliefs and patterns, but the middle section lacked such adornnts; the smooth stone surface bore only six marks of varying depth and direction.
Unlike the claw marks left by Transcendent Beings on other stones, these marks looked more like weapon damage.
"Is this… a sword mark?" With his familiarity with long swords, Xu Ran quickly guessed after touching the marks.
However, these sword marks seed very ordinary, with no signs of any otherworldly essence left on them.
"Chia~" (There's a second pillar.)
Cancan suddenly spoke up with a hint of surprise on its face.
