"Do you know her? If you don’t know her, don’t judge her here. Is this what an artist should do?"
No one thought that Mollie would turn against them for lissa. This undoubtedly aroused many people’s dissatisfaction.
"Ms. Timothy, although your painting won a prize, you can’t be so arrogant, right? There are so many seniors here who are more experienced than you. Aren’t you afraid of being isolated?"
lissa felt a little shocked when the people around threatened Mollie.
lissa didn’t expect that Mollie had won such a prize. She had a certain level of prestige in the art world.
But standing up for lissa this ti might bring no good results to Mollie.
Thinking of this, lissa worriedly pulled Mollie’s hand. "It doesn’t matter. I’m fine."
"No."
Mollie pouted and protected lissa behind her. "lissa is my good friend. Have you never thought about her feelings or mine when you treat her like this?"
These words led to bystanders’ heated discussion.
"Ms. Timothy, although it has nothing to do with us who you make friends with, we still advise you to think twice about making friends with her. Otherwise, you won’t know when she’ll cheat on you."
The people around responded in unison. Everyone looked down on lissa because she was a businesswoman.
"You don’t know anything and just talk nonsense here. So nonsense remarks on the Internet are not sothing to believe for a mber of the art world like you."
They didn’t think that Mollie would support lissa to such an extent. They felt even more dissatisfied.
"I advise you to stand by. As a businesswoman, lissa should feel honored to attend the gathering. Your support of her was disrespectful to us."
Everyone nodded. Mollie was unable to change their thoughts.
So people simply disliked lissa. They wanted to see her make a fool of herself and make everyone laugh at her. They’d like to see her humiliated. After all, outstanding people were always envied.
They hated it when soone helped lissa and spoke up for her. They only wanted to see lissa make a fool of herself. A man called Tucker Heyton was particularly envious of lissa.
He wanted to challenge lissa.
He had so talent but wasn’t very talented. He had big ambitions but never spent much ti on painting, so he didn’t make much progress.
Tucker was very angry, but he still had manners. After all, he could not show a bad side in front of so many people.
"Hello, my na is Tucker Heyton." He put on a professional smile and stretched out his right hand.
lissa hesitated for a mont. She did not know Tucker at all. But she still politely stretched out her right hand and said, "Nice to et you."
"I’ve admired you for a long ti. I always wanted to find a chance to compete with you in painting, but I never found a chance. Now that many people can witness our competition, I wonder if you’re willing." Tucker deliberately raised his voice, causing everyone to look in their direction.
lissa glanced at Tucker and said gently, "I’m afraid this occasion is not proper. We will have plenty of opportunities later on. We are guests and should respect the host. Don’t you think so?
"I think we’d better choose another day." After saying that, lissa ignored him and turned to look at her work.
lissa roughly understood Tucker’s purpose. She would not be afraid to compete. She just felt that this occasion was not suitable, and she didn’t like so much attention.
After all, she liked to keep a low profile. lissa would be in the lilight wherever she went, and she had no choice.
Tucker was speechless for a mont when he heard lissa’s rejection. She felt that lissa was afraid and forced lissa to compare today.
"Ladies and gentlen." Everyone turned to look at Tucker. "I wonder if everyone would be willing to watch compete with lissa. I believe that everyone wants sothing fun."
The crowd cheered and pointed at them. "Yes, I heard that lissa is very talented. I also want to see lissa paint."
They all wanted to see how lissa would respond. "This is going to be interesting."
"Thanks for your attention. Then I will order soone to prepare the things, Ms. Eugen." Tucker deliberately led the topic back to lissa.
Tucker knew how to use public opinion. If lissa didn’t agree, she would appear inferior to him.
What was lissa afraid of? Besides, these people liked to watch the show. Didn’t artists prefer working alone? Why did their eyes light up when they heard there would be a competition? lissa was speechless.
"Alright." lissa only answered one word.
"Then please give us a the of the painting," Tucker said to the crowd. He was very happy now.
The onlookers added, "It’s a rainy day. Why not use the rain as the the? Then, we won’t make any requests and allow you to freely paint."
lissa nodded. The the suited the weather and the ti was just right.
"Then please wait." Tucker was determined to win.
When the equipnt was ready, they sat down, set the ti, and began painting.
In the first ten minutes, Tucker confidently drew the painting, but lissa did not start painting. She was just thinking about sothing. To outsiders, she was staring at the white paper in a daze.
Everyone looked at lissa and felt that she was useless. "What? It’s been ten minutes and she still hasn’t painted a stroke. What is she doing?"
When Tucker heard other people’s whispers, he almost laughed out loud.
However, Tucker had to show a calm appearance now. After all, he had to act a bit more mysterious.
Painting required full attention. Tucker couldn’t let his mind be filled with these ssy ideas, so he concentrated on painting.
If there hadn’t been a curtain between them, Tucker would have found out what lissa was doing.
"Co! lissa finally started." Hearing this, everyone looked toward lissa.
lissa thought the painting was a more private thing and didn’t need others’ watching. After all, it would disrupt her. But there was no other choice now. Anyway, she had painted with more people looking at her before.
