Chapter 932: Chapter 874 The uneasy child’s father
When the ambulance arrived, lissa got in and before they left, she told Calvin Faber not to tell Shayna about what had happened as she knew the latter would co to see her.
lissa arrived at the hospital in a few minutes. Everyone was busy trying to get her to a room. She remained calm but was also afraid as the sa couldn’t be said for Murray.
"I’m fine, don’t worry," lissa said, grabbing onto Murray’s arm.
Murray’s face was gloomy and scary. Even the doctors and nurses next to them were sohow intimidated by Murray and dared not say anything that would offend him.
"Let’s check how you’re doing first and listen to what the doctor has to say," he said, pecking lissa on the cheeks.
lissa nodded and looked up to see Joey Collins. "Hello, Dr Collins."
Joey Collins looked up when the voice sounded familiar, and it turned out that it was lissa. "Nurse go and do a check on her first."
Joey Collins visually analyzed lissa’s condition and didn’t say anything, but followed the nurse to check.
Murray looked at the doctor in front of him and saw the na Joey Collins on his badge. Despite the familiarity between his wife and the doctor, Murray had wanted to be sure that his wife was being attended to by soone who knew what he was doing so he imdiately googled him. It turned out that Joey Collins, known as the gynaecology master, beca a director of the gynaecology unit at a young age. People ca here all the ti because of his superb dical skills. Now Murray is relieved.
Murray didn’t know how long it took, but lissa finally ca out, followed by the good news that she was fine. Murray’s face lightened but he still approached the doctor for assurance.
"Hello doctor, I’m lissa’s husband. Is she okay?" Murray asked nervously.
Joey Collins first looked at lissa, and then said to Murray. "It’s nothing, it seems that her health is better than the last ti she was here. Continue with the sa amount of exercise as before, and then improve her nutrition. Well, you should also pay attention to rest. Don’t worry, you have to be strong for her."
"Okay thank you doctor, but I’m still worried. Why don’t you take her for a full check? After all, she’s pregnant with twins, and I’m beginning to suspect that her body won’t be able to take it."
After so long, Murray finally voiced his concerns. Since lissa beca pregnant, Murray was always sceptical about having a baby with lissa. Because he felt that lissa couldn’t take it anymore due to the way she could barely eat and had consistent morning sicknesses. Although everyone said it was normal, it made Murray feel distressed.
Joey Collins admired Murray. He has been in this obstetrics and gynaecology departnt for so many years, and he would see at a glance how many people are genuinely concerned or pretend to care, even though they are doctors. But when Murray’s gaze t his, he saw a man that was ready to move mountains for lissa. He obliged and took lissa for an all-round examination.
lissa felt a little tired after the examination. She couldn’t sleep well because of Shayna’s marriage last night. After sleeping for a few hours last night, she had woken up early this morning.
"Thank you, doctor. But you can go to work!" She said, rubbing her tired eyes.
"No, you’re a month away from delivery, and you’ve been hospitalized recently. I want to look after you and make sure you’re okay. I also plan to stop working during this period and accompany you well."
lissa looked at Murray, asking him with her eyes to say sothing. Even though he is a doctor, how can he dare to interfere in the affairs of the couple?
"I just read the report. You are a little bit anaemic, so you have to take good care of your body. Besides, I have to go assist the newlyweds," Murray said, his voice softened. While lissa was being examined, he had already arranged to find the most comfortable ward for lissa to stay in.
lissa sighed before agreeing and followed Murray to the ward. She was sleeping so she took off her shoes, climbed the bed and went straight to sleep.
After Murray arranged things, he saw lissa fall asleep. He couldn’t help but burst into laughter, covered her with a quilt, turned and walked out of the ward door.
On the other hand, the wedding went on as usual. The wedding of Shayna and Calvin Faber made many people envious. They all felt that they were a good match and were perfect for each other.
Both Calvin Faber and Shayna were exhausted after the wedding. The two went on their honeymoon the next day.
lissa saw Shayna’s wedding photos, and she was also happy, but a little bitter that she wasn’t able to attend.
"Murray, I told you I had a sharp eye. Shayna’s wedding dress was my choice. I don’t think my own wedding dress was as good-looking as hers," lissa muttered while eating an apple.
Murray chuckled, cutting an apple to pieces. Hearing what lissa said, he handed her the sliced apple, "We’ll get married again."
lissa was taken aback. "Forget it, I’m almost a mother of two children. I’m no longer a young lady."
"Who told you that? You are the youngest and most beautiful in my eyes."
lissa tried to hide her blush. "You’re not ashad! We’re almost old and you’re still not tired of teasing ."
"What do you want to eat while you wait for lunch?" Murray asked, laughing.
"I’m kind of craving the burger from my old high school gate. I don’t know if the store is still open, though."
For the first ti in more than a week, Murray heard that lissa had sothing to eat. It was proof that lissa’s appetite is getting better and better.
Murray turned to lissa, overjoyed. "Then let’s go now. I’ll drive the two of us."
"OK!"
For more than a week, lissa wanted to go out to play, or to go out for a walk but Murray refused to let her go, saying she had to rest his body well. The first ti she heard that he was willing to take her out, she was imdiately excited.
The two found the store within an hour after they went there. Murray saw lissa happy like a child as she gobbled down her burger and he couldn’t help but feel better.
