Chapter 874: Chapter 816 The closest to you
Ling left the Dewar family with a smirk. She wasn’t going to do anything for them. It was against her principles to betray friends in this manner, and she would never do so.
The Dewar parents’ had spent so much money trying to find soone to investigate lissa, but each ti they were turned down.
At this point, they had beco the city’s laughingstock.
lissa has been busy designing dresses during this ti, and her original work had been significantly delayed.
It’s just that one thing has been nagging at her for a long ti, and she hadn’t been able to solve it.
When she turned on her computer and saw that soone was trying to hack into it, she set up a firewall.
lissa figured that this may happen eventually, so she beca an apprentice to a world-class master hacker, Anthony. She followed his instructions carefully and was able to keep the hacker from taking control of her computer.
Anthony could assist with the school investigation, lissa thought. She went through her contacts list until she found an unfamiliar number, assuming it was Anthony. lissa called the phone and heard a sharp sound. She grimaced, but then the line picked up.
"There is one thing I’d like to ask you to look into," lissa said.
She inford Anthony of the situation and asked him to investigate. lissa didn’t have the ti to investigate the school herself because she had a dress to design.
====
lissa was concentrating on designing the dress herself, drawing one design after another, but she wasn’t satisfied.
The dress she desired to make would surpass the boundaries of the world, and it would represent a completely new taste and color contrast.
Murray gave her a worried look and encouraged her to participate in more activities instead of focusing solely on the dress all the ti.
"Don’t worry about ; I know what I’m doing, and this is my second ti working with the princess; I need to make this work more beautiful," lissa said.
After a week of just solely working on the dress design, lissa created a blueprint that she was proud of. In that ti, Anthony sent email of his finds.
lissa read the email and noticed that the school has harsh punishnts for students. Anthony had found video evidence. lissa couldn’t help but stare in horror when she watched the videos.
She imdiately sent the evidence to the police and education departnt anonymously. She didn’t want to risk the evidence being destroyed. The principal would not be able to suppress this evidence.
lissa waited patiently for the announcent before browsing the school’s official website. She was happy that she stumbled across the situation. lissa didn’t want to imagine what other atrocities could have happened if she hadn’t intervened.
After a full day of waiting, the local news stations were reporting on the situation. The school had been closed for investigation for abused and tortured students. The students were relocated. lissa was overjoyed to learn of this developnt.
Murray approached, pointing to the news on his phone and asked, "What did you do?"
lissa laughed and said, "Sotis you don’t need that much power to get the job done." Murray didn’t know why he was surprised. His wife was a force to be reckoned with.
=====
lissa began designing the dress with peace of mind. The original draft had been modified, and all she needed to do now was get fabric.
lissa enjoyed making clothes, but she had been feeling a little dizzy recently, most likely due to the long working hours.
lissa made a list of everything she needed and asked the assistant to buy them.
She then went to lie on the bed with her eyes tightly shut. She hadn’t gotten a good night’s sleep in a long ti.
Jill ran into her room just as he was about to fall asleep.
"Don’t go to bed just yet! You have to see the flowers in the backyard!" Jill said excitedly. lissa looked up at Jill and wanted to be upset, but she hadn’t seen Jill smile since she found out her biological parents were dead.
lissa couldn’t bear the thought of destroying Jill’s good mood and allowed Jill to drag her out of bed to the backyard.
Jill had planted all of the flowers in the backyard. She wanted the backyard to be filled with amazing flowers.
"Did you tell Murray you were doing this?" lissa asked.
Murray, after all, still treasures his own yard, and it is impossible for others to tamper with it.
"Don’t worry, I’ve already discussed it with him," Jill answered.
lissa was perplexed as to what was causing Murray, a traditionalist, to agree to such a daring move.
lissa waved goodbye to Jill as she saw that her assistant had returned with the materials she requested.
"I’m leaving for work," lissa said.
"How long have you been at this? Have you even slept?" Jill asked hesitantly.
lissa ignored her questions and walked inside the house.
Looking at the purchased materials and my own design drawings, lissa had a new idea and quickly drew it down.
In this manner, she locked herself in her room for additional three days, and no one, including Murray, entered the room during that ti.
She didn’t open her door until she had finished the entire dress.
Murray had just set up a small camp bed at the door and was lying there curled up, looking pitiful.
lissa couldn’t stop herself from taking a picture of him.
"Why are you sleeping here? You could’ve slept in one of the many guest rooms," lissa asked.
Murray rubbed his sleepy eyes before pulling her into his arms. He held her lovingly before saying,
"Because I wanted to be near the one I love."
