Chapter 778: Chapter 720 Let him apologize
"Is this the attitude you should have towards your elders?" Mr Marc asked with a low growl. He was used to being respected, and had never been talked down on like lissa just did.
"Then is this how you should treat the younger generation?"
lissa questioned him back, and her originally dull eyes were now full of angry flas.
"If it weren’t for you, would I be like this now?" She asked.
Mr. Marc’s Adam’s apple floated nervously. It was the first ti he had seen lissa like this.
"No matter what, I’m also your elder, you shouldn’t treat
with such an attitude." Mr Marc insisted.
He lowered his eyes coldly and looked at her, who now had a lot of bile and anger for him in place of the kind smile she always had before.
The atmosphere between the two beca more and more stiff. Murray saw that the energy was heavy , so he gave the servant next to him a knowing look and asked the servant to invite Mr. Marc out.
Mr. Marc also felt bored, so he left willingly after he understood Murray’s signal.
"Stop being angry,’’ Murray told lissa, seeing that she was holding on to the anger she felt for Mr Marc. But he was surprised to see that lissa ignored him, and turned her face away.
Murray frowned, not realizing that lissa didn’t want to talk to him too.
"If you are still angry, tell
how we can get rid of it,’’ Murray said to her.
As soon as these words ca out of Murray’s mouth, lissa turned away.
‘’Are you serious?’’ She asked.
"Of course,’’ Murray replied with a nod, and appeared to be thinking about sothing. ."
"Since you’re upset, why don’t I send him abroad too." Murray suggested.
‘’No,’’ lissa said with a frown.
Murray’s thought was that, just like Mrs Gibson who was Mr Marc’s wife, had been exiled abroad in order to return as a brand new person, Mr Marc could also be exiled with hopes of him returning as a new leaf.
You must know that Mr. Marc is old now and has long since retired. Going to a place where no one knows him abroad would give him a quiet place to spend his old age.
Without letting him experience his own pain, he will never know the pain of others.
"Then what do you want?" Murray asked
He saw that lissa’s expression was wrong and asked.
"He killed my child, and I’m not a virgin. Let
just let him go, I won’t do it."
lissa looked obviously unhappy , which made Murray feel more uneasy.
‘’I know how upset you are,’’ Murray said. He knew that there was nothing he could do to refute lissa’s annoyed feeling.
"I want him to apologize to ." lissa said.
As soon as lissa said these words Murray’s pupils clenched subconsciously.
Mr. Marc was a proud man, how could he bow his head and admit his mistake to soone younger than him by far.
But this ti, it was indeed Mr. Marc’s fault, and he had to be held accountable.
"Don’t even think about it!"
The voice of Mr. Marc ca from outside the door.
He had been silently watching the surveillance in lissa’s room, and when he heard this, he couldn’t sit still any longer.
‘’Grand pa. You are here,’’ Murray yelped.
He wanted to stop Mr Marc, but Mr Marc shoved him out of the way like an expert.
‘’I didn’t know that you had this much skill, as young as you are,’’ Mr Marc said.
lissa raised his head and stared coldly at the old man in front of her..
"If it weren’t for you, would I have a miscarriage and lose a child?" She asked.
lissa’s cold words made Mr. Marc’s heart tremble.
"Don’t go too far. You are blowing this out of proportion" Mr Marc said.
lissa stroked her belly and gritted her teeth: "If you hadn’t forced
here, would my body be as weak as this? I only want a fair and just apology."
You must know that Mr. Marc, as the pillar of the Gibson family, has always been respected and has grown to the point that he has never apologized to anyone.
Now, he had to apologize to his junior because, if this spreads out, his reputation for so many years would be in vain.
Mr. Marc refused strongly, and the relationship between him and lissa beca more rigid.
Murray was in the middle, unable to say anything for or against anyone, standing still, and unable to say anything for a while.
......
At night Mr. Marc tried to sleep but he couldn’t. He was tossing and turning, what had happened between him and lissa continued to haunt him.
He felt distressed for lissa in his heart, but seeing lissa repeatedly disrespecting him based on this matter, upset him. .
Mr. Marc could not sleep until late at night.
Suddenly, the sound of the door being locked ca from outside the door.
Mr. Marc woke up. He sat up and tried to open the door of his room, but it was locked, and he couldn’t get out no matter how he tried. .
‘’Who is that?’’ Mr Maarc asked.
He growled deeply, but there was no sound outside the door.
Soon, the original silence was restored outside the door. Mr. Marc wanted to call for help, but the signals around him were disrupted, and he couldn’t get through to a single phone call.
He beca anxious.. He banged the door and shouted, but no one answered him.
At dawn , Murray ca out of the room, ready to check on lissa.
Yesterday, because of Mr. Marc’s affairs, lissa requested to sleep in separate rooms with Murray.
However, he felt uneasy because Mr. Marc usually woke up early, but it was so late today and he had not woken up. .
Worried, Murray knocked on Mr Marc’s door.
"Murray?" Mr Marc asked.
"I don’t know why, I can’t open my door,’’ he added.
Murray realized that sothing was wrong and he turned the lock a few tis, but he couldn’t open the door.
In this case, it was necessary to use the key.
Suddenly, a figure appeared in his mind, lissa!
Murray hurried to lissa’s room:
"You locked grandpa inside?" Murray asked.
lissa raised an eyebrow and remained silent. .
Mr. Marc did the sa thing to her, so she also wanted Mr. Marc to experience what it was like to be imprisoned.
"He’s still an old man, and he can’t bear it when you treat him like this." Murray whined.
Murray softened a lot. He knew that if he was too fierce, it would upset lissa’s health..
"I’m pregnant, and I can’t stand him doing that to ." she said.
lissa looked into Murray’s eyes and told him. .
"You’re not irrational," said Murray. "Don’t let this little thing make you appear like a crazy person. Give
the key." he added.
lissa gave him a cold look, then followed Murray to Mr. Marc’s door.
"Grandpa, you better apologize to lissa, otherwise, I may not be able to save you." Murray said.
Murray anticipated that lissa would be so furious, so he decided to speak up on her behalf so that they could co to a truce.
There was silence for a while, lissa turned to look at Murray, as if to tell him that she was right to have locked the old man in, when they suddenly heard Mr Marc’s voice..
"Sorry, it’s my fault this ti." the old man said.
