Chapter 24: Chapter 24

The bell rang and I practically bolted from the room. My hair whipped behind , and my eyes jumped from person to person. My mother usually threatens the pack, but she put into detail what she would do if she saw

speaking with any wolves. She gave

nas, thods of torture, and even small details about the pack’s schedule that terrified the hell out of .

I shut my locker door to find Andrew leaning against the locker beside , my heart thumping wildly in my chest. I spun and began walking to my next class, trying to get to art as fast as I could. I needed a paintbrush, and I needed it now.

"Wait, Emilia! Why are you avoiding us?" He gripped my shoulder, causing

to flinch bigger than I had ant to. His eyes widened as he looked at my big ones, the sa ones he unfortunately had. "What did she do." He growled low, causing a few humans and a warrior wolf to cast their glances outway.

"Nothing, I have to go. I’m sorry." I turn and rushed to my class, leaving a heartbroken and trembling Andrew behind . He was my brother, the closest thing I had to a family, and I left him in the hallway. I wanted him to help , I wanted to get out of that hell hole more than anything, but I couldn’t leave the pack to my mother.

She broke and tortured

for years, I couldn’t let her do it to them. I spent the entire next period in art painting, sketching, and constantly moving my fingers. It just seed no matter what I tried drawing, the only thing that ca from my hands was his eyes. The ocean blue eyes that sent

into a frenzy, the sa eyes that could tear

down but build

up instead.

I walked out of class with my head low, my feet making their way to my next few classes. Eyes were cast my way by wolves and humans alike, and my comnts to the teachers were extra snarky and sarcastic. I couldn’t help it, my bad mood just affected everyone.

Lunch ca, and as I entered the cafeteria to use the last couple of dollars I had to get water, a fight broke out. My eyes widened when I saw who it was, Wesley was on top of Andrew punching him directly in the face. Andrew was just taking it, not even using his hands to block his punches. "Wesley!" He didn’t even acknowledge my shouts, my body pushing itself through the circle as I tried to pry him from Andrews’s body. I fell in front of him as his fist ca barreling down and connected with my jaw, causing

to fall back onto Andrew.

"Oh god, Emilia!" He scrambled off of Andrew when he realized who he hit, my eyes shut from the pain radiating through my jaw. "What the hell!" Andrew shouted as he stood up, gripping my arms as he pulled

into them. Wesley growled, ripping

from Andrew’s grasp as he put his face in the crook of my neck. "Mine!"

I stiffened from all of this contact, the sparks erupting from being in Wesley’s arms knocking

out of my daze. I backed out of his grasp, my eyes looking at both of them. "What the hell! Seriously? You guys got in a fight and I got fucking punched, what were you idiots even fighting over!?"

Wesley looked down at his feet with guilt splashed across his face, Andrew simply had a red blush spreading across his face. "Well uh-" "You see-" I rolled my eyes, turning to look at Jas. He stood off to the side with an amused expression, his brown eyes watching the show before him. "What the fuck happened Jas?" "Oh! Loverboy over there heard about Andrew touching you this morning-" "You got mad because he touched ?" I whirled around to Wesley, whose face had grown a lot redder in the span of ten minutes.

"Well, uh, erm." I rolled my eyes, rubbing my jaw self-consciously. I flinched when pain exploded, Wesley’s eyes darkening when he saw . "I’m so sorry Emilia, it’s all my fault." "No, it’s all my fault." Andrew griped, his eyes dark as well. "You know it’s my fault, Emilia, I should’ve saved-" "Andrew," I warned, Wesley’s narrowed eyes staring at . "Saved you from what?"

Andrew glanced between

and his Alpha, taking a deep breath. "Saved her from-"

"Andrew no!"

"-you. I should have pushed her out of the way." Wesley looked at

with guilt again, before walking and grabbing Andrew in a weird guy hug. "It’s my fault, I’m sorry Andrew." I rolled my eyes, grabbed my bag from the floor, and walked out the room without anyone even noticing

slip away. Stupid wolves.
