Chapter 221: Chapter 163 The Engagent Ceremony Is Canceled
lissa ca down from the taxi. Her face was pretty but cold. She stepped on the red carpet and went straight to the stage in the middle of the banquet hall.
She stumped there, dragging her feet.
"li, why are you alone? Where is Murray? Isn’t he with you?" Marc imdiately stood up and walked to lissa.
"He won’t be here," lissa replied with a poker face.
"What?" Marc was shocked.
What did lissa an by this?
Why wouldn’t Murray co?
What happened to him?
Marc still wanted to ask lissa what was going on. However, lissa directly passed him and walked forward with a determined gaze.
Everyone present felt that sothing was wrong with lissa. They could not help but whisper to each other.
"What is going on?"
"Why is the bride alone? Where’s Mr. Gibson?"
"Well, could it be that Mr. Gibson has temporarily broken the engagent?"
People kept whispering.
Under everyone’s astonished gaze, lissa walked step by step onto the stage.
The host was busy with preparation on the stage. Seeing lissa walking on the stage, he said, "Ms. Eugen, the engagent ceremony hasn’t started yet. You can take a break first."
lissa ignored him and took the microphone from him.
She cleared her throat, took a deep breath, and said firmly, "Tonight’s engagent ceremony has been canceled."
Hearing lissa’s words, people were all shocked.
It all happened of a sudden.
There was no sign beforehand.
All the guests looked at lissa on the stage in shock. They looked at each other and discussed.
"Why did lissa suddenly cancel the engagent ceremony? What is she thinking?"
"She is probably dumped, right?"
"That’s true. A man from a wealthy family must marry a woman with the sa social status. How could Mr. Gibson marry a bumpkin like her?"
lissa turned a deaf ear to the discussions of the guests.
Adela couldn’t hide the excitent on her face. She glanced at Julie beside her and asked, "Is lissa crazy?"
"Who knows? Maybe Mr. Gibson found out what kind of woman she was and dumped her." Julie tried to please Adela.
Adela happily agreed, "Yes, that must be true. Murray finally realizes that lissa is a bitch. That’s great!"
"Adela, I knew it. Mr. Gibson and her were just playing around. How could he really be engaged to her? You don’t have to worry about this. The position of the young mistress of the Gibson family will definitely be yours." Julie kept flattering her.
Adela nodded in satisfaction.
The reporters, on the other hand, surrounded lissa excitedly.
The CEO of the Gibson Corporation’s engagent ceremony was canceled by the bride on the eve of the ceremony. It was explosive news.
"Ms. Eugen, why did you cancel the engagent ceremony?"
"Ms. Eugen, does Mr. Gibson know that you suddenly announced the cancellation of tonight’s engagent ceremony? Is this your decision or Mr. Gibson’s?"
"Ms. Eugen, did you cancel the engagent ceremony because of a problem with Mr. Gibson?"
One question after another bombarded lissa continuously.
"Sorry, I don’t want to be interviewed. Tonight’s engagent ceremony has been canceled. You can go now." lissa smiled coldly.
When Murray arrived at the entrance of the Empire Hotel, he saw this scene.
lissa, the woman he loved deeply, wore the red dress that he had personally chosen for her, which made her look exceptionally tall and charming.
She was so beautiful that he was deeply attracted to her.
However, her cold words made him heartbroken. "The engagent ceremony is canceled."
The engagent ceremony was canceled...
She arbitrarily canceled their engagent ceremony with several words.
Why?
Murray did not understand.
In order to give lissa a grand engagent ceremony, he asked people to make all the preparations in only eight days.
Everything was chosen according to lissa’s preferences.
He looked forward to tonight’s engagent ceremony and looked forward to being with lissa and receiving everyone’s blessings.
He also prepared a gift for lissa personally to surprise her in front of everyone and make her the happiest woman in the world.
In order to rush to the engagent banquet, he abandoned Lily, sped along the road, and even ran two red lights just to see lissa earlier.
But, why?
lissa canceled their engagent ceremony without hesitation in front of everyone.
Why did she have to be so heartless and cancel the engagent ceremony?
In fact, she did not even tell him beforehand.
"Mr. Gibson, Mr. Gibson is here!"
Soone saw Murray, who stood at the entrance of the banquet hall with a cold face, and shouted in surprise.
Imdiately, the reporters rushed over and handed the microphone to Murray.
"Mr. Gibson, did you know that Ms. Eugen suddenly canceled the engagent ceremony?"
"Mr. Gibson, may I ask if you..."
Before the reporter could finish his sentence, Murray’s eyes beca red, and his handso face beca cold and sullen. He said coldly, "Go away!"
Murray had a domineering air. The reporters shook and didn’t dare to ask anything.
Murray walked toward lissa step by step with a cold face. His expression was terribly gloomy.
A chill ran down lissa’s spine. She frowned and looked into Murray’s cold eyes.
How can she bear to part with Lily?
Is he so angry because I canceled the engagent instead of him?
Now, everyone knew that I dumped him. Is he angry because he felt humiliated?
Interesting.
Shouldn’t he be happy?
After the engagent is canceled, he could be justified in being with Lily.
Moreover, I brought it up, so he wouldn’t be called cheating.
So why is he angry?
Looking at the cold man approaching her step by step, lissa smiled sarcastically.
Before she could open her mouth, her wrist was grabbed by him with power.
"You..." Before lissa could react, Murray grabbed her wrist and pulled her directly to the lounge behind the stage, pressing her against the wall.
"Murray, let
go!" lissa was trapped by Murray, and she struggled.
Murray, however, did not move at all. He clasped lissa’s wrist with both hands and looked down at her from above. His sexy thin lips were tightly pursed into a line, and his deep eyes surged with inexplicable anger.
After a long ti, he rolled his Adam’s apple and suppressed his anger. "lissa, why?" He asked in a hoarse voice.
