Chapter 1208: Chapter 1150
"Just stop right there!" a familiar voice yelled at Adonis Fun as he walked out of his workplace.
"Not again, Sawyer" he shook his head and turned around. He was surprised to see soone else.
There were six of them. The mbers of the team who he just sold so contents to yesterday.
"Is that a good way to do business?" one of them challenged him.
"Business is about buying and selling. The best way to do it is to buy what is good and pay well" he replied.
"And what did you sell to us, yesterday?" another one questioned.
"So information on Murray which I’m sure will make you more money" he smiled.
"You are not a good man, Adonis" the mber retorted. "You had those pictures in the envelope yesterday and you gave us so footnotes while we paid you ten grands each" he complained.
Adonis Fun hesitated. He stared round at all of them.
"I don’t understand what you are talking about. Are you saying what you get was not the worth of what you paid?" he asked them.
"Why didn’t you show us those pictures after we paid you ten grands?" the mber asked furiously.
"We didn’t negotiate about the pictures. I showed you the notes and asked for ten grands. You paid without being forced" he reminded them.
"You are just making us look like fools to our editors. You give us silly news while you publish the best. Are you using that to distract us from getting the real news ourselves?" the mber fud.
"You just said to
yesterday, that you have not had your fill of bread crumbs. If you do now, I’ll understand. Excuse " he turned and walked out on them.
lissa had to stay again at the hospital as the health of one of her kids deteriorated. The doctor had advised against discharging for now.
Despite having such troubles, she was still always receiving interview requests from journalists. They were all claiming they had air to clear about her.
As she didn’t want to be far away from her kids. She had granted all the journalists a conference at the hospital. Today was the day for the eting.
A nurse ca in to the ward to inform her the journalists were waiting.
She followed her as she was already prepared. She went there and sat in the couch provided for her.
"There had been series of rumors and fake news going on about you. As good mbers of the press, we know that the best solution is a word from you. That’s why we have been so persistent in getting your attention. Thank you for granting our request" the anchor delivered her opening speech.
"You are welco. As you can see we are in the hospital premises. I do not have much ti as I need to be with my kids often" she paused and sighed.
"And how are they, your kids?" the anchor showed concern.
"They are better. In short, I won’t be able to answer all questions but I have an announcent to make" she was forced to pause as nurous microphones rushed to her front. There were also shreds of lights from snapshots.
"I’m sorry for that, they are just eager" the anchor smiled.
"All I have to say is short and simple. Whoever it is that is publishing bad news about
and my company, watch your back, I’m coming for you" she released a threat.
She got up and left without giving them attention anymore.
lissa branched to the restroom on her way back to the ward. She needed to catch her breath after the daring proclamation.
She could hear so shallow voices coming from the other side of the restroom. She listened attentively.
"She only issued a threat, I’m sure she hasn’t seen it" a female voice said and chuckled. She was obviously mocking lissa.
lissa took a deep sigh. She would have rushed to where the voices were coming from to challenge them but that wouldn’t let her know more than she heard.
"Do you believe the news?" another voice asked.
"Why won’t I? Isn’t it possible?" the first voice said aggressively.
"But he loves her, I caught them locking lips in the ward. They were just very romantic" she moaned.
"Being romantic with your husband doesn’t an your husband won’t go after other girls. lissa is not as hot as those entertainers. You can’t really bla Murray. He only fell for temptations" the first voice chuckled again.
lissa tried to piece the story together.
"Is Murray cheating on ?" she muttered to herself. She felt very angry. She ca out of the restroom and encountered two nurses. They were surely the voices she had been eavesdropping.
She was too weak and bitter to confront them. She rushed back to the ward to get her cell phone. She was breathing heavily. She didn’t want to believe until she confird it on the web.
If it was true, she was sure it would be the talk of netizens right now. She stopped to catch her breath. She was shaking.
Few minutes after she had cald down. She started visiting web forums after one another. Finally, she ca across a relatable posts that had garnered nurous comnts.
There was a picture of Murray and a lady all over the pages. He was fondling her. The expression on their faces clearly showed they were having a good ti.
"This picture is very real. I have subjected it to a lot of tests, though I don’t want to believe Murray could do this but it already happened" a comnt said.
lissa went back to check the pictures. They were real of course. Murray was cheating on her.
"Murray should co out and defend this. I’m sure lissa is traumatized right now" another comnt read.
lissa turned her phone off and put it back on. Her heart was pounding under her chest.
Murray was a good man. She never expected sothing like this from him. She started researching for the source of the pictures.
She wanted to know more and it would be better if she found the reporter who did this.
Her eyes finally caught a comnt.
"Adonis Fun is a hell of an investigator. He had finally dug out Murray" the comnt joked.
"Adonis Fun" lissa murmured. The na rang a bell.
