[: 3rd POV :]

[: Have you realised it? What do you truly want? :]

The system’s voice echoed through the endless void, calm as ever, yet this ti there was sothing different within it, sothing subtle that felt almost...knowing, as though it had been waiting for this exact mont all along.

For the briefest instant, it even felt as if the system itself was smiling.

Daniel did not hesitate.

He no longer needed ti to think.

He no longer needed to question himself.

"Yeah," he answered, his voice steady, carrying a certainty that had not existed before.

"What I truly wanted all this ti... is freedom."

The word did not feel abstract anymore.

It felt absolute.

"All those things I’ve been chasing," he continued, his gaze lifting slightly as if seeing beyond the void itself, "becoming the strongest, having a family, protecting the people I care about, even conquering worlds...none of those were the end."

His voice deepened, not in tone, but in aning.

"They were all just parts of it. Steps that lead to a single destination."

A faint pause followed, as if allowing the truth to settle fully into existence.

"And that destination... is freedom."

The mont those words left him, sothing had changed within him.

A sudden surge erupted from the very core of his existence, not as an explosion of destruction, but as sothing far more profound, as if his entire being had finally aligned with a truth it had been seeking across lifetis.

Light began to erge from his body.

Not a single colour but many.

Layers of shifting hues intertwined and flowed across his form, illuminating him in a way that felt neither natural nor artificial, but fundantal, as if his existence itself was being rewritten from its very origin.

His body, soul, fate, everything was reacting.

The void trembled, not violently, but in recognition.

Energy began to rise from him in waves, dense and imasurable, carrying a presence that felt ancient, yet newly born at the sa ti.

It was not chaotic, nor was it controlled; it simply existed in a state beyond both.

The energy of beginning.

A force that represented origin, creation, the first spark of existence itself.

Yet even that was being surpassed.

Because what radiated from Daniel now was sothing greater, sothing more refined, more absolute, sothing that did not rely signify a beginning, but the authority to define what a beginning even was.

Primordial Mana.

It surged outward, not wildly, but with quiet dominance, as if reality itself had no choice but to acknowledge it.

The space around him began to distort, not breaking, not collapsing, but bending subtly, as though adapting to a presence it could not reject.

Daniel remained still at the centre of it all.

However, this was not over; in fact, it was the beginning of a new change.

[: Finally, Host... you have truly realised your goal...and a part of yourself. You have reached the stage where the system can now comnce the next operation...and the next stage :]

The system’s voice did not simply echo this ti.

It resonated.

It carried a depth that felt far heavier than before, as though sothing fundantal had shifted the mont Daniel acknowledged his truth.

The void itself seed to react, trembling faintly, as if even it understood that sothing irreversible had just been set into motion.

Daniel’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"...W-Wait," he said, his composure breaking for the first ti in a long while, confusion surfacing in a way that felt almost unfamiliar to him.

"What do you an by that?"

There was a pause.

Not long.

But enough.

Enough to make the silence feel suffocating.

[: This is an upgrade. Further explanation will be provided after completion :]

"...Upgrade?"

Daniel repeated, his voice tightening as a faint sense of unease crept into him.

"B-But what are you—"

He never finished.

Because in the very next instant, everything stopped.

His entire body froze mid-motion, locked in place as if the concept of movent had been forcibly removed from his existence, and before he could even process what was happening, there was pain.

It did not co gradually.

It did not build.

It erupted.

A violent, overwhelming surge of agony tore through every part of his being, not just his body, but deeper, his mind, his soul, his very existence itself, as if sothing was reaching into the core of what made him him and tearing it apart.

"Ghh—! What... is this...!?"

Daniel’s voice strained, breaking under the sheer intensity of it as his form trembled uncontrollably within the void, his thoughts scattering under the pressure of sothing he could not comprehend.

This was not physical pain.

This was sothing else entirely.

Sothing far more absolute.

And deep within him, sothing was happening.

There were two presences and two existences.

One... was Daniel, and the other...was the system.

For the entirety of his journey, they had always been separate. One guiding, one growing. One observing, one acting.

Two distinct entities coexist within the sa vessel without ever truly becoming one.

But now, that boundary was collapsing.

"No... wait... what are you doing...!?"

Daniel forced the words out, his voice filled with both strain and disbelief as he felt it, sothing rging, sothing intertwining at a level he had never experienced before.

[: Initiating integration. :]

The system’s voice echoed again, but this ti, it was closer.

Far too close.

As if it were no longer beside him, but within him, at his core.

"Integration!? Are you—ghh—trying to rge with !?"

Daniel’s voice rose, his control slipping as the pain intensified further, his entire existence feeling as though it was being stretched, rewritten, redefined all at once.

And yet there was no resistance from the system.

There was no hesitation, only execution.

To understand the system, it was never just a tool.

It was not simply a guide; it was a living entity.

Sothing that existed beyond conventional understanding, sothing that had accompanied countless hosts before him, observing, assisting, evolving alongside them.

But never like this.

Never to this extent.

Because what was happening now had never happened before.

Daniel could feel it.

The system was not simply upgrading him.

It was becoming him.

And at the sa ti, he was becoming it.

Two separate existences that had once coexisted...

Now being forcibly rewritten into one.

The void began to distort violently around him, space bending and collapsing in unnatural patterns as waves of incomprehensible energy erupted outward from his frozen form, his very presence becoming unstable, fluctuating between sothing that existed and sothing that was still being defined.

"This... isn’t just an upgrade...!"

Daniel gritted out, his voice strained, barely holding together as his consciousness flickered under the pressure.

"You’re...fusing with ...’’

[: Correct. :]

The answer ca without hesitation.

[: Previous hosts were limited by separation. That limitation no longer applies :]

Daniel’s eyes widened slightly despite the pain consuming him.

"...Previous... hosts...?" he muttered, the words barely forming as realisation struck through the chaos.

That ant...

None of them had reached this point.

None of them had triggered this.

None of them had been... chosen for this.

The rging intensified.

His thoughts began to blur, not disappearing, but expanding, overlapping with sothing else, sothing vast, sothing ancient, sothing that had seen far more than he ever had.

"Ghh—! This... this is insane...!"

Daniel’s voice broke as his consciousness struggled to keep its shape, as if even the concept of identity itself was being tested.

And yet, sowhere within that chaos, there was no rejection, no incompatibility as there’s only... alignnt.

Because at the core of it all, they shared sothing.

And that was the purpose.

That purpose had reached its next stage.

[: Comncing Operation in 3...2...1 :]

The mont the final count reached zero, the void did not explode, nor did it collapse; instead, it shifted, as though reality itself had taken a breath and begun to rearrange its foundations around Daniel’s existence.

At the centre of it all, his form flickered.

Not like light.

Not like energy.

But like identity itself, struggling to maintain a singular definition.

Their outlines blurred, their essence intertwining in strands of luminous data and raw existence, weaving together like threads that had always been ant to converge, yet had never been allowed to—until now.

[: Matching with Host Soul Existence to a compatibility state... successful :]

A pulse rippled outward.

Daniel’s consciousness trembled as he felt it, his soul itself being asured, aligned, adjusted, not forcefully rejected, but perfectly fitted.

Like two fragnts of a greater whole finally locking into place.

"Ghh... this feeling... it’s not resisting..."

Daniel muttered under his breath, his voice strained, yet laced with disbelief as the pain began to transform into sothing else... sothing deeper.

Not destruction.

But reconstruction.

[: Comncing operation of fusion will begin in 3...2...1 :]

The mont the process began, the flickering intensified.

Streams of energy surged through him, not chaotically, but with terrifying precision, mapping every aspect of his being—his mories, his abilities, his instincts, his very existence, and rewriting them in real ti.

[: Syncing rate and fusion... 1%... 10%... 30%... :]

At ten per cent, Daniel felt his perception expand unnaturally, as if countless layers of awareness had been unlocked all at once, allowing him to sense not only himself, but the void, the space beyond it, and sothing even further.

At thirty per cent, his body, or what remained of its concept, began dissolving into streams of shifting light, no longer bound by form, but not yet formless either.

"W-What is happening to ...!?"

Daniel’s voice echoed, though even he could no longer tell if he was speaking aloud or simply thinking.

[: 50%... :]

At halfway...

Sothing changed.

The distinction between Daniel and the system began to vanish.

The system was no longer beside him.

It was within him.

And he was within it.

[: 100% :]

Silence.

Absolute.

[: Fusion completed. :]

Daniel no longer flickered.

He no longer wavered.

His existence stabilised into sothing new... sothing singular.

[: Due to the infusion, all statuses of Daniel Valenhardt will be rewritten :]

A surge of light erupted from within him, not outwardly destructive, but internally absolute, as if every concept that once defined him was being erased and replaced simultaneously.

[: All skills, bloodlines, and powers will be rewritten. :]

Fragnts of his past abilities surfaced briefly: Void manipulation, devouring essence, and destructive authority, before shattering into particles of light and being absorbed back into the core of his existence.

It was not lost, but rather, it was becoming more than just ’divine’.

[: System’s ability of Missions and Rewards... removed. :]

For a brief mont, echoes of past notifications, past objectives, past structured growth pathways flickered and then vanished entirely, as though they had never existed to begin with.

[: Missions and Rewards deed ineffective and unnecessary for current Host evolution :]

[: Reconstructing growth system... :]

Daniel did not speak.

He did not question.

Because he understood.

[: New foundation established: Growth linked directly to Host’s desires. :]

A pulse.

Deeper than before.

[: Primary desires identified: Attainnt of absolute strength. Protection and elevation of chosen individuals. :]

[: Therefore... :]

A brief pause.

Not chanical.

But intentional.

[: Talent "Eternal Giver" will be fully absorbed into the Host’s core existence :]

Daniel’s eyes, if they could still be called that, widened slightly as sothing within him reacted, recognising that na not as an ability, but as sothing far greater.

Sothing intrinsic.

[: Absorption comncing. :]

[: Absorption... complete. :]
