Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Speed of Life and Death

"Damn it, shake him off! Harlen, you guys cover the rear and take out that Hua Country man!" an Arican ordered from inside the car.

"Yes, Major General!"

After acknowledging the order, the car ahead imdiately stopped and fell behind. At the sa ti, two heads popped out from the side windows, handguns firing wildly at Lin Kuang.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang yanked the steering wheel, causing the car to swerve sideways. The next mont, he fired, shattering the passenger-side window with a single shot before firing twice more. In an instant, two bullets pierced the heads of the n who had been shooting at him.

With that done, Lin Kuang shifted gears again, and the car shot forward.

Just then, the rear window of the Range Rover ahead suddenly shattered, and an AK-47 began spraying bullets at Lin Kuang. Unfazed, Lin Kuang’s car weaved like a serpent on the deserted road. The mont the gunman’s clip went empty, before he could reload, Lin Kuang fired a single shot that blew his head apart.

In an instant, three mbers of Black Scorpion were dead. Lin Kuang’s car accelerated again, charging past them.

Only two people were left in the Range Rover ahead: Harlen and the driver.

"Keep driving! This kid is tricky!" Harlen said, ducking down in the passenger seat, his expression grim.

He hadn’t expected their opponent to be so strong. His three n were taken out the mont they showed their heads. That kind of precision marksmanship was far beyond what an ordinary person could achieve.

Lin Kuang floored the accelerator, closing the distance to the Range Rover ahead. Just then, Harlen reappeared with a grenade in his hand, ready to throw.

Lin Kuang’s gaze was fixed on his target. The mont he saw the grenade in Harlen’s hand, he raised his gun and fired. The bullet pierced his own windshield and struck the grenade!

Harlen’s eyes widened in disbelief. He couldn’t tell what was more shocking: Lin Kuang’s marksmanship or his incredible eyesight.

An instant later, a deafening roar echoed as the Range Rover exploded. A brilliant fireball shot into the sky, shattering the quiet of the once-secluded street.

Swerving around the wreckage, Lin Kuang continued the chase. The lead car had already passed the next intersection and entered a main road. The road was packed with traffic, which would make it extrely difficult for Lin Kuang to pursue them.

Damn it! They held

up for so long. If it weren’t for these guys, I would’ve caught up already! Lin Kuang cursed inwardly. With the engine roaring, he gunned the Range Rover onto the main road.

In monts, Lin Kuang was on the main road, but the target vehicle was already three to four hundred ters ahead of him. Three or four hundred ters might not seem far, but with the congested traffic, pushing through would be a challenge.

There was no ti for hesitation. Lin Kuang laid on the horn and kept accelerating, driving like a madman. Startled by his reckless driving, the other cars swerved out of his way, their drivers shouting curses at him.

Lin Kuang paid no attention to their shouting. My only goal right now is to rescue Fan Bingbing. If she falls into the hands of those Black Scorpion bastards, things will not end well for her.

Inside the lead car, the Major General watched Lin Kuang give chase like a madman, a murderous glint appearing in his eyes.

"Grenades! Throw them! Blow him to hell!" the Major General ordered, his voice cold and indifferent. He showed a ruthless disregard for the lives of the civilians around them.

The two rcenaries in the back seat nodded at the command. They opened their windows and tossed out two grenades.

Seeing this, the icy killing intent in Lin Kuang’s eyes grew even stronger.

These desperadoes! he cursed inwardly, imdiately opening fire.

BANG! BANG!

Two shots rang out. Two bullets flew through the air and struck the two grenades.

BOOM! BOOM!

The two grenades exploded in midair, causing the other drivers to slam on their brakes or swerve wildly. In an instant, the entire road was thrown into chaos.

Lin Kuang had no ti to worry about the chaos. He ramd one car out of the way and charged forward in his Range Rover once more.

The Major General hadn’t expected Lin Kuang’s marksmanship to be so precise. He was stunned for a mont. Then, he opened a case on the passenger seat, took out the components, and quickly assembled a sniper rifle.

Resting the barrel on the back of his own seat, the Major General aid at the driving Lin Kuang and pulled the trigger without hesitation. With a loud crack, a bullet shattered their rear window and shot toward Lin Kuang.

The mont the sniper rifle was aid at him, Lin Kuang felt it. For soone like him, who had spent years on all sorts of missions, intuition was his most trusted Magical Treasure for evading danger. He had lost count of the disasters he had dodged thanks to that intuition. It was an instinct honed in the crucible of life and death, and it was the very thing that had kept him alive. This was what he relied on.

So, as the sniper rifle cracked, Lin Kuang instinctively threw himself toward the passenger seat, his body completely shielded by the car’s fra. The instant he ducked, a bullet tore through his seat—right where his forehead had been just a mont before.

No one, not even the Major General, had expected Lin Kuang to react fast enough to dodge that shot. The General was montarily stunned.

But now he knew for sure: Lin Kuang was no ordinary expert. That was the kind of reaction only a man forged in the fires of countless battles could have.

"This guy’s tough," the Major General said, aiming his sniper rifle at Lin Kuang again. "You two, throw the grenades onto the road. Let’s see how he deals with that!"

Lin Kuang had already righted himself in his seat. His expression was cold, devoid of any fear from the Major General’s shot. On the contrary, his blood was beginning to sing with excitent.

He had spent the last year rotting in a prison on Devil’s Island. It had been far too long since he’d been in a real fight, especially one that carried the real thrill of danger. So Black Scorpion sent soone formidable this ti. Interesting. Let’s see just how tough you really are, Lin Kuang mused to himself, his deep, sharp eyes seeming to bore right through the vehicle to the Major General.

Just then, he saw two rcenaries in the back of the car ahead peek their heads out. Lin Kuang smirked coldly and fired two quick shots.

BANG! BANG!

The two unlucky n died instantly, their grenades never leaving their hands.

At the sa ti, the Major General’s sniper rifle cracked again. As he fired, a faint smile played on his lips.
