Chapter 70: Chapter 70 My Woman

"Ahem, Ruotong, you can just call

Lin Kuang. You don’t need to be so polite," Lin Kuang couldn’t help but say. Yang Ruotong was always so formal, and it made him feel a little embarrassed.

"Alright, Lin Kuang. Eat up. There’s more if you’re not full," Yang Ruotong said with a smile.

Lin Kuang nodded. With a whole table full of food, how could there possibly not be enough? It wasn’t like he was a bottomless pit.

The four of them sat there, chatting and eating. The atmosphere was so harmonious that an outsider might have mistaken them for a family. As they were eating, the sound of footsteps echoed from the living room.

Lin Kuang instinctively turned to look. The newcor was a man who appeared to be around thirty. He wore a well-tailored black suit, a white shirt, and a deep blue tie. He was about six feet tall, with a neat crew cut and gold-rimd glasses perched on his nose. He had the look of a successful businessman. Overall, the man was quite handso, exuding a clean-cut, gentle, and refined aura.

Not a bad-looking guy, but still a little lacking compared to , Lin Kuang muttered to himself.

For so reason, the sight of this man filled Lin Kuang with an instinctual dislike. Although his gaze seed calm, there was a sinister quality to it that Lin Kuang found instinctively repulsive.

Seeing the newcor, Yang Ruotong frowned. "Ye Tiannan, why are you here again?" she asked, her beautiful eyes filled with clear disgust. It was obvious she despised the man before her.

Ye Tiannan seed to ignore the disgust in her eyes, smiling as he replied, "Ruotong, I was just passing by and thought I’d drop in." As he spoke, his gaze swept briefly over Lin Kuang, who was sitting next to Yang Ruotong.

Lin Kuang was seated very close to Yang Ruotong, with her on his right and Yang Ruoxi on his left.

When he felt Ye Tiannan’s gaze, Lin Kuang simply turned his head, showing no intention of acknowledging him.

At this, Ye Tiannan’s eyes narrowed slightly. It was a subtle movent, but Lin Kuang caught it clearly in his peripheral vision.

Looks like this guy is trouble, Lin Kuang thought to himself. But he wasn’t concerned. Was he, Lin Kuang, the type to shy away from trouble? The answer was obvious.

"Sorry, I’m eating right now. I don’t have ti for you," Yang Ruotong said coolly, turning her attention back to her al.

Hearing this, Ye Tiannan just smiled faintly. "No problem. I can wait for you to finish." With that, he sat down casually on the sofa as if he owned the place.

Seeing how he made himself at ho, Yang Ruotong’s frown deepened, the disgust in her eyes growing more intense.

"Ye Tiannan, let

make myself perfectly clear. This is the Yang Family’s ho. You are not welco here. I don’t like you, and I do not want to see you. If you understand what I’m saying, then please leave. Now."

Her voice had turned icy, clearly showing him the door. Lin Kuang quietly observed from the side, watching the scene unfold from the corner of his eye. Ye Tiannan’s eyes narrowed again, another minute movent that Lin Kuang caught instantly.

"Ruotong, why must you be like this? I’ve loved you for so many years. Why won’t you give

a single chance?" Ye Tiannan asked, his face a mask of bitter pain. His gaze, however, was fixed on Yang Ruotong with unnerving sincerity.

Faced with such a sincere gaze from a man as refined as Ye Tiannan, almost any other woman would have found it impossible to reject him. Yang Ruotong, however, remained completely unaffected.

"It’s not complicated. I just don’t like you," she said, her tone flat and cold. "I have said this many tis, and I don’t wish to repeat myself."

At her icy words, Ye Tiannan’s expression darkened for the first ti. The change was fleeting, almost unnoticeable to a casual observer.

"Ruotong, please. You know my feelings for you are genuine," Ye Tiannan said again, the anguish on his face deepening as if he were truly heartbroken.

"Ye Tiannan, I despise who you are. You put on the airs of a perfect gentleman, but your actions in the shadows are worse than any scoundrel’s. To be honest, your brand of hypocrisy is utterly repulsive!" Her cold voice rang out again. For the first ti, Yang Ruotong dropped all pretenses with him, because she truly could not stand the sight of him any longer.

At her words, the corner of Ye Tiannan’s mouth twitched, and his body tensed. He seed to be fighting for control, but his composure finally shattered. His expression turned cold and nacing.

"Yang Ruotong, it doesn’t matter if you like

or not. I will have you. In a few days, my father will formally propose our marriage to your father. At that ti, you will agree, whether you want to or not. There is nothing I, Ye Tiannan, have ever wanted that I failed to obtain!

"Furthermore, my patience with you has reached its limit. When your father agrees to our marriage, I will make you moan beneath !"

As he spoke, he seed unable to restrain himself any longer, his eyes burning with undisguised possessiveness.

At his words, Yang Ruotong’s body trembled violently. Her charming face went deathly pale, and her snow-white hands clenched into tight fists. Her full chest heaved with uncontrollable rage.

Yang Ruoxi’s expression also turned grim, but just as she was about to speak, Lin Kuang stopped her.

Yang Ruotong also started to speak, but she suddenly felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her, pulling her into an embrace. A powerful masculine scent filled her senses. For a fleeting mont, she felt the urge to lean into this solid embrace forever. This embrace made her feel incredibly safe, as if she could truly depend on him.

"So, you’re Ye Tiannan?" Lin Kuang’s voice suddenly cut in, calm and steady. "It doesn’t matter who you are. Ruotong is my woman now. No one is allowed to lay a finger on my woman. And you? You are neither worthy nor qualified."

His voice was deceptively calm, yet it carried an undeniable, domineering power. His tone was a declaration to the world that she was his, and no one—not even God himself—could take her from him.

Hearing his voice, Yang Ruotong shuddered again. Leaning against Lin Kuang’s chest, she felt for the first ti in her life that a man could be this dependable. Even though she knew this was all an act, a tiny crack appeared in her long ice-sealed heart.

At that mont, Yang Ruotong didn’t know if she was just playing along with Lin Kuang’s act or if, on so level, she had truly made a choice. She simply remained nestled in his arms, looking for all the world like a young woman, newly in love, snuggling into her man’s embrace.

Seeing this, Ye Tiannan was stunned for a mont. Then, his face beca utterly hideous with rage, a murderous glint flashing in his eyes before vanishing.
