Chapter 66: Chapter 66: Soaring Confidence

Watching the two bodyguards leave, Liu Shilin and Lin Guo’er were baffled. At the sa ti, a single thought surfaced in both their minds. Lin Kuang must be behind this! The idea sprouted suddenly, and though they didn’t know why, they just had a gut feeling it was true.

"Leave. Now," Lin Kuang said coolly, his icy gaze fixed on Han Qiaoqiao’s eyes. His indifferent words sounded as if they were coming from Hell itself, utterly terrifying.

eting his stare, Han Qiaoqiao instinctively took a step back, her throat bobbing as she swallowed nervously. "You... what are you going to do? I-I’m telling you, don’t ss with ! I’m from the Han Family!" she stamred, facing his glacial gaze. That look terrified her, sending an uncontrollable shiver through her body.

"What am I doing? I haven’t done a thing," Lin Kuang stated flatly.

"Fine. Just fine. Bullying a woman, you’re all so wonderful. This isn’t over! In two days—no, tomorrow! Tomorrow, I’ll make sure Yashi completely disappears from East Sea!" Han Qiaoqiao said furiously, her eyes filled with hatred.

"Oh? On what grounds? Just because you sell yourself?" Lin Kuang asked with disdain.

The mont Han Qiaoqiao had walked into the office, Lin Kuang noticed that she couldn’t keep her legs together, an obvious result of frequently sleeping with n. And while her chest wasn’t sagging severely, it had clearly begun to droop. That was why he’d made such a remark.

Hearing his words, the already furious Han Qiaoqiao’s face flushed crimson, her unpleasantly thin eyebrows shooting up. "You... who are you saying sells herself? Who did you just say sells herself?!" she shrieked, her body trembling with rage. Her voice beca incredibly shrill, like a stuck pig.

"You know perfectly well who sells herself. Please leave. I don’t hit won, but I might just strip you naked and throw you outside," Lin Kuang said calmly, his cold eyes locked on hers.

At his words, Han Qiaoqiao trembled involuntarily as a chill rose from the depths of her heart. She wanted to retort, but after holding it in for so long that her face turned beet red, she didn’t dare utter a single word.

With a furious swing of her arm, Han Qiaoqiao spun around and stord out. The CLACK, CLACK of her high heels on the floor seed to broadcast her fury.

Seeing her leave, Lin Kuang’s smile returned. "Shilin, Sister Guo’er, it’s all right now," he said, the previous coldness completely gone from his expression.

Staring at his smiling face, Lin Guo’er sized him up as if he were so strange creature. She looked him over from head to toe, making Lin Kuang’s skin crawl, completely baffled by her behavior.

"Tsk, tsk, Little Brother Kuang, I never noticed before. You actually have such a commanding presence. Tsk, tsk, impressive, very impressive," Lin Guo’er said, her flirtatious eyes roaming over his body, filled with curiosity. Her gaze was so intense it felt as if she wanted to strip him down for a thorough examination, making Lin Kuang feel a sudden chill, as if he needed to put on more clothes.

Lin Guo’er might not have seen it all, but she was far from ordinary and considered herself a good judge of character. She was especially astonished by the indescribable aura Lin Kuang had just exuded. She had only ever sensed such an aura from her grandfather, and even his couldn’t hold a candle to Lin Kuang’s.

Therefore, she was certain Lin Kuang was no ordinary person. When she recalled his performance in Chen Gong’s office, her curiosity about him only deepened. And when a woman, especially a beautiful one, becos curious about a man, it usually ans she isn’t far from falling for him.

"Uh, Sister Guo’er, are you feeling all right? You seem to be talking nonsense," Lin Kuang asked, a little helpless in the face of her scrutiny.

"Nonsense, my foot! Stop playing dumb with . I’ll see through you sooner or later," Lin Guo’er huffed before turning her gaze to Liu Shilin.

At that mont, Liu Shilin’s expression was grim, not because of Lin Kuang, but because of Han Qiaoqiao. She was well aware of the kind of power the Han Family wielded in East Sea. They were one of its top ten richest families! Even if they were at the bottom of that list, the Han Family’s Energy in East Sea was absolutely not sothing her small Yashi Company could contend with. She had built this company from the ground up, and honestly, she couldn’t bear to see it destroyed.

"Shilin, don’t worry. If that bitch Han Qiaoqiao really dares to pull anything, I’ll help you!" Lin Guo’er declared without hesitation upon seeing her friend’s troubled expression.

"Guo’er, that’s the Han Family we’re talking about. I know your background isn’t simple, but even the Energy behind you probably wouldn’t want to confront them so easily, right? Especially not for my little Yashi Company," Liu Shilin said with a bitter smile.

Having spent so much ti with Lin Guo’er, Liu Shilin wasn’t a fool; she knew her friend was extraordinary. But when facing the Han Family, unless one possessed overwhelming force, others wouldn’t get involved lightly. Judging by Han Qiaoqiao’s earlier behavior, the Energy behind Lin Guo’er was likely just enough to make the Han Family cautious, not truly fearful. In that case, the Energy backing Lin Guo’er probably wouldn’t step forward so readily.

At the sa ti, Liu Shilin really didn’t want to owe such a massive favor.

Hearing her words, Lin Guo’er faltered. What Liu Shilin said made perfect sense, and for a mont, she was at a loss for how to reassure her.

Just then, Lin Kuang let out a small smile. "All right, you two don’t need to worry. Han Qiaoqiao won’t succeed. I promise you that. You might not believe

now, but by tomorrow, you’ll know I wasn’t lying."

He spoke with a laugh, the deep confidence in his profound gaze irresistibly affecting both Liu Shilin and Lin Guo’er. A confident man is always the most attractive. It’s a matter of charisma, sothing that can never be determined by looks alone.

"Uh, Little Brother Kuang, don’t make promises you can’t keep. Han Qiaoqiao is from the Han Family. Besides, that woman often associates with so unsavory characters, so she has so Energy of her own," Lin Guo’er remarked.

Despite her words, a strange thought took root in her heart: she felt that Lin Kuang could actually do it. It was a conviction she couldn’t explain, even to herself.

"Don’t worry," Lin Kuang reiterated. "I always keep my word."

His soaring confidence left both won stunned.
