Chen Zhongrui hadn't wanted to ask for Liu Daotong's help. However, he knew that if he faced Lin Kuang alone, he would almost certainly lose.

"Brother Liu, let's attack him together and kill him!" Chen Zhongrui said.

"Alright, Brother Chen. Be careful," Liu Daotong said, his expression grave. "That's the Eight Gates Escape Technique, a martial art lost for thousands of years. I can't believe this kid managed to stumble upon it. You have to be cautious."

Chen Zhongrui nodded. "I'll be careful. Don't worry, between the two of us, we can definitely kill him!"

"Alright. Let's do it," Liu Daotong said. The next mont, he and Chen Zhongrui attacked in unison, and the pressure on Lin Kuang instantly multiplied.

But Lin Kuang was fearless. His sword, Naless, danced in one hand as he executed the Chaotic Tai Chi Sword, completely suppressing Liu Daotong. With his other hand, he fought Chen Zhongrui alone. Lin Kuang held nothing back, fully unleashing his internal power and constantly utilizing the Willow Catkin Technique to push his strength to an unprecedented peak. Thankfully, the Willow Catkin Technique massively increased his speed. Without it, his situation would have been extrely perilous.

The expressions on Liu Daotong and Chen Zhongrui turned grim. Both were considered masters in the Antique World, yet even together, they were unable to subdue Lin Kuang. Worse still, the more Lin Kuang fought, the more ferocious he beca. He even showed signs of overwhelming them, which frustrated the pair to no end.

As the fight raged on, Liu Daotong suddenly bellowed, "Everyone, assemble in the rear courtyard! There's an assassin here!" The man was an utterly unscrupulous Taoist. He had only beco the abbot of this temple through sheer ruthlessness, personally murdering his own master to seize the position. With his character, how else could he have succeeded?

Hearing Liu Daotong call for reinforcents, Chen Zhongrui's expression soured. It was humiliating that the two of them couldn't handle Lin Kuang alone, but for the sake of avenging his son, Chen Zhongrui was willing to swallow his pride.

"Just as I thought. You're all birds of a feather, calling for backup when you can't win," Lin Kuang scoffed. "Absolutely shaless. Fine, if that's how you want to play it, let's drag this out. Today, all of you will die!"

As he spoke, his sword, Naless, swayed, and a powerful warding force erupted from it, blasting Liu Daotong's Seven Stars Sword aside. Simultaneously, his other hand balled into a fist and sent Chen Zhongrui staggering back. The next mont, Lin Kuang launched himself out the window. He wanted to finish them all, but he wasn't a fool. Dealing with Liu Daotong and Chen Zhongrui already required his full strength. If more people joined the fray, even he would be in danger. He had to retreat and engage them with hit-and-run tactics.

The mont Lin Kuang crashed through the window, the expressions of Liu Daotong and Chen Zhongrui shifted. As seasoned veterans, they imdiately guessed his intentions.

"Let's go! After him!" Chen Zhongrui shouted, leaping out the window with Liu Daotong right behind him.

Lin Kuang pushed the Willow Catkin Technique to its absolute limit, his figure becoming a phantom as he dashed forward at incredible speed. However, the temple was filled with disciples who now sward him from all directions. So were bare-handed, others wielded swords, all charging straight for him.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang took a deep breath. Since you're all seeking death, I won't be polite. Today, I'll unleash a massacre! He vowed silently as his sword, Naless, shimred.

PFFT! SHINK!

The sound of a sword piercing flesh echoed again and again. With every step Lin Kuang took, more bodies fell, and in monts, a dozen n had been rcilessly cut down. Gazing down at the corpses at his feet, Lin Kuang's expression grew even colder. Without a backward glance, he rushed out of the Taoist temple and disappeared into the forest.

"Go! All of you, chase him!" Liu Daotong bellowed, imdiately pursuing alongside Chen Zhongrui. Behind them, fifty or sixty disciples scaled the temple walls and gave chase. Judging by their movents, it was clear they all practiced Ancient Martial Arts.

Lin Kuang was already pushing the Willow Catkin Technique to its limits, moving at an astonishing speed. After running for so distance, he finally stopped and hid behind a large tree.

Glancing at Yang Ruoxi, who was slung over his shoulder, Lin Kuang asked with concern, "Ruoxi, how are you feeling? Any better?"

"I'm okay. I've recovered a bit," Yang Ruoxi said softly. "Lin Kuang, you can put

down. If I rest a little more, I can fight too."

Although they were in grave danger, her heart was filled with a wonderful warmth. Even if she were to die right here, Yang Ruoxi would have no regrets, because the man she loved most had co for her.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang nodded. "Alright, rest for a bit." With that, he gently set Yang Ruoxi on the ground. Without wasting a mont, she sat down cross-legged and began circulating her energy to restore the True Qi she had expended. Lin Kuang stood beside her, quietly keeping watch.

anwhile, Liu Daotong and Chen Zhongrui were leading their n through the woods, hunting for Lin Kuang. He had been too fast, however, and they had completely lost his trail. They had no idea where he was. As the sky grew darker, the search beca even more difficult.

"I will find that kid today," Chen Zhongrui said, gritting his teeth. "I have to kill him!" His son's body was still back at the temple; he had to get revenge.

"Don't worry, Brother Chen. He can't escape," Liu Daotong said with a cold expression. "Once we find him, we will eliminate him for good."

"Yes. He must be killed," Chen Zhongrui reiterated.

Their search brought them closer and closer to Lin Kuang's position, but the deepening dusk made it harder and harder to see. By this point, Lin Kuang and Yang Ruoxi had been resting for over half an hour.

"Lin Kuang, I'm almost fully recovered," Yang Ruoxi said calmly as she stood up.

"Good. They should be here any minute now," Lin Kuang said, looking at Yang Ruoxi seriously. "You hide up in that large tree and try not to engage. I can handle this alone, understand?" He hadn't let her rest so she could join the fight, but so she would have the strength to protect herself if needed.

Hearing this, Yang Ruoxi was montarily startled. But when she saw the serious look in his eyes, she nodded obediently. "Alright, I'll hide. Be careful... If you die, I'll co out and follow you."

Her voice was soft, but it carried an unshakeable resolve.
