Almost an hour later, Lin Kuang sat on the sofa, contentedly lighting a cigarette. While he smoked in silence, Yang Ruotong busied herself in the kitchen.
Around eight o'clock, little Xinxin ca stumbling down the stairs, her mouth wide as she yawned continuously. Upon seeing Lin Kuang on the sofa, she paused, then greeted him with a beaming smile. "Good morning, Uncle-in-law."
"Good morning, little Xinxin," Lin Kuang said with a laugh, looking at her adorable face.
Barefoot, Xinxin ran to Lin Kuang and threw herself into his arms. "Uncle-in-law, when did you get here?" she asked, her large eyes darting about mischievously, looking incredibly endearing.
"I've been here for a little while, but little Xinxin was still sleeping in," Lin Kuang said with a chuckle, holding her close.
"Hehe, I was just tired! I'm going to brush my teeth and wash my face. See you in a bit, Uncle-in-law!" Xinxin said happily. She planted a smacking kiss on Lin Kuang's cheek before turning and running off.
Watching the lovable Xinxin, Lin Kuang felt an indescribable warmth in his heart. It was a wonderful feeling. After having breakfast at Yang Ruotong's and playing with Xinxin for a while, Lin Kuang prepared to leave. As he was leaving, Xinxin blinked her big eyes at him, making him reluctant to go, but in the end, he still left.
He drove back to Lin Guo'er's place. By then, Lin Guo'er and Liu Shilin had just woken up. It was a rare weekend, so the two won naturally wanted to rest a bit longer.
"Good morning, beauties."
Seeing Lin Guo'er and Liu Shilin in their pajamas, their alluring figures faintly visible beneath the fabric, Lin Kuang felt a stirring in his chest.
"Morning. Just get back?" Lin Guo'er asked, noticing his lecherous gaze. She deliberately thrust out her already magnificent chest, making it seem even larger. Lin Kuang couldn't help but stare.
"Guo'er, I'm warning you, that's very dangerous," Lin Kuang grumbled, shooting her a look.
Hearing this, Lin Guo'er giggled. "Oh, really? Then co and get ," she said, beckoning to him with one finger. Her seductive eyes were full of charm as she gazed at him, an altogether irresistible sight.
Finding it hard to resist, he walked straight toward her. "You asked for it!" he said irritably, sweeping Lin Guo'er into his arms and turning to leave.
Liu Shilin blushed at the sight but said nothing, simply heading into the bathroom to wash up. Before long, captivating lodies began to drift from Lin Guo'er's room.
"Are you two ready to eat?" Liu Shilin asked, walking to Lin Guo'er's doorway after she had finished preparing lunch.
Just as she finished speaking, Lin Kuang walked out of the room with a grin. Lin Guo'er followed behind him, her cheeks still rosy with a lingering blush. Seeing them, Liu Shilin's face flushed as she shot them an annoyed look.
"Ti to eat," she announced, turning away with rosy cheeks.
At this, Lin Kuang chuckled and pulled Lin Guo'er downstairs. After lunch, the three of them had nothing to do and were just chatting idly in the living room.
"Let's go shopping, shall we? It's been so long," Lin Guo'er suggested with a smile, sitting beside Lin Kuang.
"Sure, I should get a few new things. I have nothing to wear," Liu Shilin readily agreed.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang rolled his eyes. Seriously? These two have closets overflowing with clothes, yet they claim to have nothing to wear. Are all won like this?
"What's the matter? You don't seem too keen on going with us," Lin Guo'er said with annoyance, seeing his expression.
"Uh, how could that be? I'd be thrilled to go shopping with two beautiful won. How could I possibly be unwilling?" Lin Kuang said, putting on an expression of profound honor.
Upon hearing this, Lin Guo'er and Liu Shilin finally nodded in satisfaction. "Hmph, that's more like it. We're going to change. You wait downstairs."
With that, the two won got up to head upstairs. Just then, his phone rang, startling him. He pulled it out. The call was from Yang Wucheng. His heart stirred, and he quickly answered.
"Hello, Uncle Yang."
"Yichen, co see . I'm at the military region. We have a mission," Yang Wucheng said, his voice urgent.
At these words, a look of delight crossed Lin Kuang's face. "Okay, I'll be right there."
With that, they both hung up.
Although Lin Kuang didn't ask for details, he knew in his heart what this was about. The mission was almost certainly to go to the Changbai Mountain Range in the northeast and destroy the Island Country's Biochemical Research Institute there.
Lin Guo'er and Liu Shilin had overheard his conversation with Yang Wucheng. They understood he had sothing to do and probably couldn't go shopping with them anymore. Although they were a little disappointed, the two won still managed to smile.
"Go on, be careful," they said in unison, looking at Lin Kuang.
Their words filled Lin Kuang's heart with warmth, mixed with a pang of guilt.
"Guo'er, Shilin, I'm sorry. I promise I'll take you shopping next ti. Don't wait up for
tonight. I might not be back until tomorrow. Rest early. I'll arrange for people to protect you," Lin Kuang said with a smile, looking at their understanding faces.
"Okay, we know. You be careful too," the two won said, smiling.
"Alright, I'm leaving now. I love you," he said. Lin Kuang walked over, pulling each of them into a hug and kissing them on the lips before turning to leave.
Watching his retreating figure, the two won's smiles held a touch of helplessness. However, they had chosen this man, and they had no regrets.
After leaving, Lin Kuang drove straight for the East Sea Military Region. On the way, he called Zhang Liani and asked her to have Guo Delun and his n co over to protect Lin Guo'er and Liu Shilin. Zhang Liani naturally agreed. Lin Kuang gave a few more instructions before hanging up and focusing on the road.
Less than half an hour later, he arrived at the East Sea Military Region. He got out of the car and went straight to Yang Wucheng's office, where Yang Wucheng was waiting for him.
"Sit down. The mission has co down from on high. The Lin Family made the decision," Yang Wucheng said, his expression grave.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang's expression changed slightly before he nodded. "I understand. When do we leave?"
"We leave after dark. This ti, the Seal Special Team and the Thunderhawk Special Forces will accompany you. Old Zhang and his n will be here soon," Yang Wucheng said, his tone heavy.
