Chapter 319: Chapter 319 mories of

Liu Shilin wasn’t foolish. She simply chose to not talk about many things, even before she beca Lin Kuang’s woman. Now that she was his woman, she finally started to speak about it. This showed how clever she was. If she had raised the issue earlier, it could have led to disagreents between them or even caused other trouble. But now that they were together, Liu Shilin no longer worried about those problems, so she finally brought it up.

Hearing Liu Shilin’s words, Lin Kuang felt a bit embarrassed. He had assud she was unaware of everything and had planned to tell her when the ti was right. However, he hadn’t expected her to ask about it first, leaving him at a loss for how to begin.

"Out with it. How many are there? Three? Four?" Liu Shilin asked irritably, watching his awkward expression.

"Er, uh, Shilin... you won’t leave

if I tell you, right?" Lin Kuang asked fearfully, appearing extrely cautious.

Seeing him like this, Liu Shilin felt a mix of amusent and annoyance. But her heart ward at his words, which proved how much he truly cared for her. That was precisely the reason she had chosen to be with him in the first place.

"What do you think? I was already prepared for this. If I wanted to leave you, would I be with you right now?" Liu Shilin retorted.

After thinking for a mont, Lin Kuang realized she had a point. "So... I can tell you then?" he asked cautiously.

"Mhm, go ahead," Liu Shilin said, quietly waiting for him to continue.

"COUGH, COUGH. There are four. With three of them... well, we’ve already, you know... and there’s one that hasn’t happened yet. COUGH, COUGH. And right now, you’re the only person who knows about this," Lin Kuang said awkwardly, scratching his head.

Hearing this, Liu Shilin rolled her eyes at him. "What about Guo’er?"

"Her, too. Guo’er just beca my woman yesterday," Lin Kuang admitted honestly, not hiding anything.

"Hmph. I’m guessing that girl Shiyu didn’t escape your clutches either, right?" Liu Shilin asked nacingly, glaring at him.

"Ah... uh... yes, that’s right," Lin Kuang replied, his voice filled with embarrassnt. He felt so frustrated. It seed as if Liu Shilin knew everything, leaving him completely at a loss for words.

"Hmph, I figured as much. So, what are your plans for us?" Liu Shilin asked, posing a critical question.

Lin Kuang scratched his head. "I... I don’t really know about that yet. But I promise I will do right by all of you. I swear," he said with great sincerity. Since Liu Shilin and the others had chosen him, he would never let them be wronged. He could absolutely guarantee that.

"At least you have so conscience. But are you sure that’s all? I seem to recall a certain female celebrity whose relationship with you is also quite close, right?" Liu Shilin pressed, looking at him.

"Uh, you an Bingbing? Oh, right. Counting Bingbing, that makes five. And including you, six," Lin Kuang said awkwardly, scratching his head again. He had gotten so carried away that he’d completely forgotten about Fan Bingbing. He felt a pang of guilt, thankful she wasn’t there to hear it.

"Hmph! See? Another one. Are there any more or not?!" Liu Shilin demanded with annoyance, pinching him hard.

"No, that’s really it. Actually... there was one other. She was my first woman, but she passed away in an accident. I don’t like to talk about it," Lin Kuang said, his expression suddenly turning sorrowful, his deep eyes filled with painful longing.

Hearing this, Liu Shilin’s body tensed, and her beautiful eyes filled with apology. "Lin Kuang, I’m so sorry. I didn’t an to..."

"It’s okay. Do you want to hear our story?" Lin Kuang whispered, pulling her closer into his embrace.

Liu Shilin nodded obediently.

"We t in the military, in a special forces unit called the Wild Wolves. We were both mbers, and she was one of the female soldiers.

"As you know, won are innately at a physical disadvantage compared to n, but her strength was second only to mine as the Wolf King.

"The Wolf King is the most powerful warrior in the entire Wild Wolves unit. I was the Wolf King back then, and she was the warrior ranked just below !

"One ti, we got a mission—a secret operation in Arica to gather intelligence. But during that mission, we were discovered. I had to watch as she was killed right in front of ! In my rage, I completely destroyed that military base.

"And that’s why I ended up in Devil’s Island Prison, where I t Old Liu—your dad."

Lin Kuang gently recounted his experience. The story was short, but it was laced with an undeniable pain and sorrow. She was the woman he had loved most. Watching her get shot before his very eyes was a pain no one who hadn’t lived through it could possibly understand.

Had soone set them up? Lin Kuang had wondered that before, but his investigation at the ti had turned up no clues.

He had since buried the mory deep in his heart. More than a year had passed, and this was the first ti he had spoken of it.

He had always harbored a resentnt toward his family because of this incident, as the mission had been assigned by his grandfather. In truth, he knew it wasn’t his grandfather’s fault. But in the mont he lost the woman he loved, he had nearly gone insane, especially when his grandfather didn’t protect him and instead allowed him to be sent to Devil’s Island Prison. At that ti, his hatred had reached its peak. Looking back now, he knew he was wrong—outrageously wrong. If his grandfather and the Lin Family hadn’t truly protected him, how could he have caused such a massive incident in Arica and only spent a single year in Devil’s Island Prison before being released? Without a doubt, the Lin Family, or perhaps even the country itself, must have reached so agreent with the United States. That was the only way he could have regained his freedom.

Listening to Lin Kuang’s story, Liu Shilin felt as if she were experiencing his pain firsthand. She hugged him tightly and murmured, "Lin Kuang, you still have us."

Her words, though few, struck him to the core.

A mont later, a smile returned to his face. "Yes, I still have you. I have all of you. This is the greatest gift heaven could give . Shilin, thank you," Lin Kuang said earnestly.

"Thank

for what? I’m your woman. The mont I decided to be with you, I made up my mind. No matter who you are, I will always be by your side," Liu Shilin said softly, as docile as a kitten.
