Ye Tiannan sneered inwardly. These pleasantries an nothing. He never took such words seriously, but his gaze still involuntarily shifted to Chen Shaowen. When he saw the man's expression, Ye Tiannan was montarily stunned and cursed to himself, What an idiot.
Although Chen Shaowen was masking his emotions extrely well, a hint of smugness still appeared on his face after Chu Zhongtian's words.
Ye Tiannan might have been a playboy, but he was astute when it ca to reading people. Seeing that look, he knew this man had to be terribly inexperienced with the ways of the world. Why else would he reveal such an expression?
Chu Zhongtian also sneered inwardly, but his mood was excellent. Perfect.
He needed Chen Shaowen's strength, not his intelligence. The stupider the man was, the easier he would be to handle.
After all, a gun doesn't need a brain, and Chu Zhongtian clearly intended to use Chen Shaowen as his personal weapon.
"Everyone, you all know why I've gathered you here," Chu Zhongtian began. "Yashi's business in East Sea might not be doing so well, but its sales in other regions are explosive. The problem is that our reach doesn't extend beyond East Sea, which makes confronting the Yashi Company sowhat difficult. If any of you have good suggestions, feel free to speak up.
"Previously, we didn't have the ans to deal with Lin Kuang. But now that Mr. Chen has stepped up, this is our chance. I believe that with him here, dealing with Lin Kuang will be a simple matter."
Hearing this, Chen Shaowen's expression soured. He had, after all, already been humiliated in his previous fight with Lin Kuang, but he wasn't about to admit such an embarrassing fact right now.
"Young Master Chu must be joking," Chen Shaowen said with a smile. "This Lin Kuang is very strong. I don't have absolute confidence in taking him down. At best, we're evenly matched."
Although he wasn't well-versed in the subtleties of scheming and deception, he was no fool. He knew he had already been defeated. Seeking out Lin Kuang again would be tantamount to suicide, and that was sothing he refused to do.
Hearing Chen Shaowen's words, Chu Zhongtian, Ye Tiannan, and the others were montarily stunned. They hadn't expected him to respond that way.
But then, a realization dawned on them. Given Chen Shaowen's personality, if he claid they were evenly matched, it most likely ant he was no match for Lin Kuang at all.
At this thought, Chu Zhongtian fell silent. He currently had no good strategy for dealing with the Yashi Company. He had finally found Chen Shaowen, hoping the man could eliminate Lin Kuang, which would render Yashi a non-issue. But from the looks of it, Chen Shaowen clearly lacked confidence, which put Chu Zhongtian in a difficult position.
"Young Master Chu, how about this?" Zhao Shunyang spoke up. "Let's just gather more n and take out Lin Kuang directly. Dealing with the Yashi Company right now is too difficult, and we don't have the ti it would require. But if we get rid of Lin Kuang, it won't matter to us whether Yashi stays in business or shuts down. What do you think?"
Zhao Shunyang couldn't care less about the Yashi Company. All he knew was that Lin Kuang had taken Lin Guo'er from him. His one and only goal was to kill Lin Kuang.
"Yes, Young Master Chu!" Wang Ya Hao chid in. "Lin Kuang is the biggest threat. Once we get rid of him, dealing with the Yashi Company will be a piece of cake. How does that sound?"
In truth, Wang Ya Hao only wanted to kill Lin Kuang so he could win back Liu Shilin. That was his true objective.
Hearing this, Huang Zelun also voiced his agreent to eliminate Lin Kuang. He felt rather aggrieved; he had only been beaten up by the man. If he had known Lin Kuang was this difficult to deal with, he might have just endured the humiliation and let the matter go. But once you've boarded a pirate ship, it's not so easy to get off.
"I agree with them. Kill Lin Kuang, and all our problems will be solved," Ye Tiannan said coolly, looking at the others. "However, do you really think killing Lin Kuang will be that easy? The man is incredibly strong. If we move without full preparation, we'll be the only ones to suffer."
After all, Ye Tiannan was the mayor's son. Thanks to his influential father, his words carried considerable weight.
Listening to them, Chu Zhongtian nodded. He had initially just wanted to play gas with Lin Kuang, thinking there was nothing else to do in East Sea. But now, things were getting out of his control, which annoyed him. Since so many people were in favor of killing Lin Kuang, he decided there was no point in playing around anymore. It was better to just eliminate him directly.
With that thought, Chu Zhongtian smirked. "Since everyone is in agreent, let's kill Lin Kuang. He may be strong, but two fists are no match for four hands, and even a hero can't defeat a crowd. We'll gather more people, and with Mr. Chen on our side, I think our chances are good. Besides, Lin Kuang's only connections in East Sea are to Yang Wucheng and perhaps so dealings with the Eagle Sect. Killing him shouldn't be too difficult."
Chu Zhongtian said this with a confident smile. If only he knew that Lin Kuang had already wiped out not only the six elders of Dark Blood, but also most of the assassin organization's top masters, he certainly wouldn't be thinking this way.
"Fine. If you're going to kill Lin Kuang, I'll take part," Chen Shaowen said. "What's your plan?"
"Naturally, we'll hire so professionals," Chu Zhongtian began, looking every bit the master strategist. "We can't do the deed ourselves; it wouldn't be good if word got out. There are plenty of rcenaries overseas, so why not spend so money to make our problems go away?
"Of course, we'll also position so of our own n in East Sea, with Mr. Chen leading them.
"Even if the rcenaries don't kill Lin Kuang, they'll at least injure him severely. At that point, our people can strike while he's weak and finish the job.

"Excellent. I agree with the plan," Wang Ya Hao said, being the first to speak up. His hatred for Lin Kuang was venomous, especially after being slapped twice by him. "Young Master Chu, when do we make our move?" As he spoke, he looked around at the others.
At his question, Zhao Shunyang, Huang Zelun, and Chen Shaowen all nodded in assent. When their gazes fell on Ye Tiannan, he also nodded with a smile. Although he felt the plan wasn't entirely foolproof, he agreed it was worth a try.
Seeing the unanimous agreent, Chu Zhongtian slamd his fist on the table. "Then it's settled!"
