"As long as you're all right," Lin Kuang said, his gaze turning cold once more. "Just wait here for , I still have sothing to do."

So people treated his warnings like they were nothing but wind whistling past their ears. It was ti to teach them a small lesson.

Hearing his words, Liu Shilin and the other two won didn't speak, simply nodding quietly. Lin Kuang then pushed off with his feet, leaping onto the roof in a single bound.

Lying prone on the rooftop was a woman. With his keen eyesight, Lin Kuang could clearly see that it was none other than Fan Ting, the woman from yesterday. Seeing this, a cold smile touched his lips. "It seems you treated my words as nothing but hot air."

At that mont, Fan Ting finally snapped out of her shock. She had learned that the remaining four elders of Dark Blood were coming for Lin Kuang tonight, so she had co to watch and gauge the extent of his strength. She had completely ignored the warnings from Fan Sheng and Fan Bin, sneaking out as soon as evening fell. By the ti she arrived, she saw Lin Kuang locked in battle with the four elders of Dark Blood.

The terrifying power radiating from him left her in imnse shock, especially when he opened the Life Gate at the end. The sheer force of it made her tremble; it was too strong, far beyond anything she could have imagined. She was even afraid, terrified of the power Lin Kuang had displayed.

As soon as the battle ended, Fan Ting wanted to leave, having seen everything she needed to. Besides, she knew perfectly well that she was no match for Lin Kuang; she wasn't arrogant enough to think she could take him down. But just as she was about to leave, Lin Kuang's figure suddenly appeared, startling her.

"I... I was just out for a stroll. I'm leaving now," she stamred. With that, Fan Ting leaped down from the roof and turned to run.

Perhaps due to a mix of fear and panic, she landed right inside Liu Shilin's manor. She instantly realized where she was and couldn't help but feel annoyed at her blunder.

The mont she tried to leave, Lin Kuang appeared before her. His sword, Naless, emanated a cold glint as he pointed it at her. Seeing this, Fan Ting instinctively swallowed hard.

Before he had revealed his true power, she might have dared to fight him. But after witnessing his formidable strength, she lost all courage to even try. The gap between them was simply too vast to be bridged by courage alone.

"What's so tough about a grown man like you bullying a woman!" Fan Ting said, her face red. "Besides, I haven't done anything to you!" Her words were a blatant attempt to be unreasonable.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang was montarily stunned. He found her words both exasperating and amusing.

"Alright, how about this," he said calmly. "You won't be leaving tonight. Tomorrow, your two companions can co and pick you up."

"On what grounds? What right do you have to detain !" Fan Ting said defiantly.

"On the grounds that I'm stronger than you," Lin Kuang replied with a smile. "What, got a problem with that?" He suddenly found this woman rather amusing.

Hearing his words, Fan Ting's pretty face turned pale. After a mont's thought, she realized he was right. She was no match for him; she couldn't even run away! She bit her lip, her cheeks flushing red. This was the first ti she had ever felt so aggrieved.

Seeing her reaction, Lin Kuang instantly appeared behind her, startling her. Just as she tried to dodge, his fingers tapped several points on her back. In an instant, Fan Ting felt the True Qi in her body completely sealed, and an overwhelming sense of weakness washed over her.

"Bastard, what did you do to !" she demanded, her face flushed and her beautiful eyes burning with anger.

Lin Kuang replied nonchalantly, "I just sealed your True Qi and physical strength. Right now, you can't even move a muscle."

As he spoke, Fan Ting felt her body go limp. Her legs buckled involuntarily, and though she tried to stand, she found she couldn't summon an ounce of strength. At that mont, a strong, masculine scent filled her nostrils, and she realized Lin Kuang was holding her in his arms.

It was the first ti she had ever been so close to a man. Breathing in his distinctly masculine scent, her face instantly turned crimson. She wanted to struggle out of his embrace, but her body was completely devoid of strength.

"You... you bastard, let

go!" Fan Ting sputtered, her face beet red.

"Oh," Lin Kuang replied softly and imdiately let go.

THUD!

"Ouch!"

Completely powerless, Fan Ting fell flat on her back. A sharp pain shot through her rear, and a pained look filled her eyes.

"Bastard, that hurt like hell!" she yelled.

"What a woman," Lin Kuang said calmly. "You tell

to let go, and then you curse

when I do. You're certainly a handful."

His words made Fan Ting's face flush with anger. She knew he'd done it on purpose, but she couldn't think of a single way to refute him. Fuming, she could only lie on the ground, panting heavily.

"Shilin, Guo'er, Little Witch, you three go inside. I'll clean up out here," Lin Kuang said with a smile.

The three won nodded. They wanted to help, but the thought of the corpses on the ground made their faces turn pale, so they quickly went inside.

Lin Kuang began cleaning up the bodies, completely ignoring Fan Ting as she lay on the ground, huffing in anger. She let out a shriek every so often when an ant crawled across her face.

Eventually, it seed Liu Shilin and the others couldn't bear it any longer. The three of them ca back out, carried Fan Ting into the living room, and placed her on the sofa.

By the ti Lin Kuang finished cleaning the courtyard and returned to the living room, it was almost one in the morning. Liu Shilin, Lin Guo'er, and the Little Witch were all still waiting up for him, in no mood to rest until he was back safely. Seeing him return, all three let out a simultaneous sigh of relief.

"Alright, you should all go to bed. It's already one in the morning. I know you don't have work tomorrow, but staying up this late is still not good for you," Lin Kuang said with a smile, though inwardly he felt a little helpless. "I'll keep an eye on this woman. Go on, get so sleep."

His perfectly good plan for a nice evening with Lin Guo'er had been completely ruined, which was incredibly frustrating.

Hearing his words, Liu Shilin, Lin Guo'er, and the Little Witch nodded and headed upstairs to rest.
