Chapter 216: Chapter 216: What a Surprise

It was exactly 10 p.m. when Lin Kuang drove back. The lights in the main hall were still on. After getting out of the car, he saw Liu Shilin and the Witch watching TV, though their eyes kept darting toward the door. Clearly, they were worried about his safety. Seeing this ward Lin Kuang’s heart, filling him with an indescribable tenderness.

When they saw him walk in, smiles appeared on both Liu Shilin’s and the Witch’s faces.

"Still up?" Lin Kuang asked as he stepped into the living room, fully aware of the answer.

Hearing this, the Witch rolled her eyes at him. This guy obviously knows my sister and I were waiting for him, yet he’s still playing dumb.

Liu Shilin also shot him a look. "If we weren’t waiting for you, we’d have been asleep long ago."

"Heh, I knew you were waiting for ," Lin Kuang said with a grin.

"Then why did you ask?" the Witch retorted irritably.

"To see if you’d be honest, of course," Lin Kuang said, beaming at them. In response, both Liu Shilin and the Witch rolled their eyes.

"Alright, since you’re back, I’m going to head up to bed," Liu Shilin said with a smiling yawn.

"Go on. Getting to sleep early is good for your skin," Lin Kuang added with a thoughtful smile.

Liu Shilin nodded, then stood and swayed her hips sensuously as she walked upstairs.

"You’re not going to bed?" Lin Kuang asked the Witch with a smile.

"None of your business," the Witch huffed, rolling her eyes at him.

"Alright then. You keep watching TV; I’m going to take a shower." With that, Lin Kuang went to his room, changed into a pair of boxer shorts, and headed to the bathroom, his upper body bare.

The Witch huffed as she watched him go, seemingly a little displeased with him.

After a refreshing shower, Lin Kuang erged from the bathroom feeling rejuvenated and sat down on the sofa next to the Witch. She wrinkled her cute little nose but said nothing.

As he towel-dried his damp hair, Lin Kuang let his eyes wander over the Witch. Feeling his aggressive gaze, her pretty face flushed, and she couldn’t help but glare back at him.

"Jerk! Why are you staring at ?" the Witch demanded, her face red and her irritated tone tinged with shyness.

"No reason. Just think you’re pretty. Is there a rule against looking?" Lin Kuang asked with a grin.

At his words, the Witch’s heart began to pound. Her delicate, doll-like face flushed an even deeper shade of red, making her look all the more enchanting.

"I’ve always been this beautiful; I don’t need you to tell !" the Witch retorted, her face beet-red.

"Ahem, it was just a casual comnt. You’re really full of yourself, aren’t you?" Lin Kuang said with a helpless shrug.

Hearing this, the Witch’s doll-like face flushed with embarrassnt. She lunged forward, her hands reaching out to pinch the soft flesh at Lin Kuang’s waist. Lin Kuang knew all too well how much that would hurt, so he had no intention of letting her succeed.

With a quick shift to the side, Lin Kuang dodged her demonic claws. The Witch had been sitting on the sofa, and in her embarrassnt, she had lunged with too much force. Missing her target, she lost her balance and tumbled right into Lin Kuang’s lap. As fate would have it, her doll-like face landed directly between his legs.

The sight made Lin Kuang freeze. A strange sensation surged through him, and a certain part of his anatomy quickly began to swell.

The Witch didn’t imdiately notice where she had landed. This spot isn’t so bad, actually. But just a mont later, sothing hard pressed against her cheek. Curiously, she rubbed her face against it.

Her simple action sent a jolt of heat through Lin Kuang. Just then, the Witch seed to realize sothing. Her pretty face turned completely red, and she scrambled to get up, mortified.

However, in her flustered haste, her hand landed right on his lower body. She pushed down hard on it to leverage herself back into a sitting position.

"Dammit!" Lin Kuang couldn’t help but cry out, his face flushing crimson. This ti it wasn’t from arousal, but from pure pain. How could it not hurt when the Witch pushed down with all her might on a part of him that was definitely not the floor?

Lin Kuang doubled over, clutching his groin, his face a mask of undeniable pain. The Witch froze for a second. Then, realizing where her hand had just been, her doll-like face turned an even deeper shade of red as her embarrassnt intensified.

"Witch, are you trying to end my family line?!" Lin Kuang exclaid. The feeling was an excruciating mix of sensations.

His words only made the Witch even more embarrassed. "I-I didn’t do it on purpose!" she stamred, blushing and looking aggrieved.

Lin Kuang was silent; the sensation was truly hard to describe.

Seeing his pained expression, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt. "Are... are you okay? I really didn’t an to," she added, her big, beautiful eyes fixed on him, looking as if she were about to burst into tears.

Lin Kuang was rendered speechless. I’m the one who’s hurt! Why do you look like you’re the victim? Of course, he didn’t say this out loud. If the Witch really started crying, he’d have no idea how to console her.

"N-No, I’m fine. It just hurts a little. I’ll be okay after resting for a bit," Lin Kuang said helplessly. Looking at her tear-brimd, doll-like face, he just couldn’t bring himself to say anything harsh.

"Oh... okay. Well, why don’t you... rub it a little? Maybe that would help," the Witch suggested, her voice still full of remorse, but a sly glint flashed in the depths of her eyes.

"No need. I’ll just tough it out. It’s fine," Lin Kuang said, gritting his teeth. He circulated his True Qi through the injured area, and the pain imdiately lessened a great deal. The color started to return to his face.

Seeing him recover, the Witch secretly sighed in relief. While her near-tears expression was an act, she had been genuinely worried if she had caused any permanent damage. Fortunately, it seed he was going to be alright.

Lin Kuang sat for another mont until the pain had almost completely disappeared. That’s my most vital part, after all. What would I do if sothing really went wrong? He finally managed a smile. "Phew. I’m going back to my room. You should get so rest, too."

Hearing this, the Witch blinked her big eyes and nodded.

With a helpless feeling, Lin Kuang turned and left. Once he had disappeared into his room, the Witch patted her chest in relief, glad he hadn’t seen through her act.

"That jerk..." she mumbled, her face blushing, "it seed... pretty big, huh?"
