Chapter 2: Chapter 2: When It Rains, It Pours

Lin Kuang nodded politely. "It’s no problem. Just a small effort."

With that, he picked up the girl’s bag and placed it in the overhead compartnt. This bag is actually pretty heavy. After stowing it, Lin Kuang sat down across from the girl, who was nad Bingbing.

He calmly sized her up. I have to admit, she’s very beautiful. The more I look at her, the more captivating she becos. Of course, he only glanced at her a few tis and was careful not to stare, as that would have been extrely rude.

Fan Bingbing’s beautiful eyes also glanced at him curiously, a hint of confusion in her gaze. As for why she was confused, perhaps only she knew.

Just then, Zhao You, who was sitting beside Lin Kuang, shot him a look and said in a saccharine voice, "Well, handso, don’t you recognize our Bingbing?"

"Eh? Why should I?" Lin Kuang said, rubbing his nose.

"Our Bingbing is an international superstar, and you don’t recognize her? Good heavens, were you raised in a cave?" Zhao You said with an exaggerated gasp. He brought his hand to his mouth, his fingers pinched in a delicate pose that was particularly nauseating to watch.

Lin Kuang barely resisted the urge to tell the guy to get lost.

"Sorry, I was just released from prison," Lin Kuang said flatly.

"Oh my God! You’re a criminal! Bingbing, we have to be careful!" Zhao You exclaid dramatically. He scurried over to Fan Bingbing’s side, shielding her like a mother cow protecting its calf.

As an international superstar, Fan Bingbing’s beautiful eyes showed a trace of surprise when Lin Kuang ntioned coming out of prison. No matter how she looked at him, she just couldn’t see him as a bad person.

Lin Kuang shot Zhao You a sidelong glance, too lazy to bother with him. He simply closed his eyes. Out of sight, out of mind. At least I don’t have to look at that disgusting guy.

Although Lin Kuang had closed his eyes, Zhao You didn’t let his guard down. His small eyes remained fixed on Lin Kuang, scrutinizing him vigilantly. Even with his eyes closed, Lin Kuang’s heightened senses made him keenly aware that Zhao You was staring at him.

He didn’t really care. They would go their separate ways once they reached the East Sea, and he couldn’t be bothered to deal with the man.

"Dear passengers, congratulations. Your flight has been hijacked." A man’s smug voice crackled over the plane’s PA system.

The passengers froze for a mont, as if they couldn’t believe what they’d just heard. When the voice repeated the announcent, the cabin erupted in panic. Seconds later, two Arican n in camouflage uniforms burst into each cabin, brandishing submachine guns.

"No shouting! Don’t move, or we’ll kill you without rcy!" one of the n barked, his voice as cold and emotionless as a machine.

Terrified, the passengers scrambled back to their seats. The more timid ones trembled uncontrollably but dared not make a sound, their eyes wide with fear as they stared at the ruthless hijackers.

Lin Kuang opened his eyes with a sigh of resignation. As they say, misfortunes never co singly. Dealing with that nauseating pretty boy was bad enough, and now I’m stuck with terrorists. What rotten luck.

Across from him, Zhao You was shaking with fear, but he still did his best to shield Fan Bingbing. Fan Bingbing was much calr than he was. Although she was also frightened, it wasn’t as obvious.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang’s aversion to the effeminate Zhao You lessened considerably. At least the guy has the guts to protect his companion, even though he’s clearly terrified himself.

Lin Kuang was tempted to act. The two hijackers in his cabin posed no real threat to him, even with their guns.

However, I can’t make a move just yet. I’m worried they have so other sche. If they use hostages to threaten , I’ll have no choice but to surrender. With that in mind, Lin Kuang remained seated, quietly observing the two terrorists.

At that mont, the voice on the PA system crackled to life again. "Alright, friends, please cooperate. When I call your na, you will co to the cockpit. If you don’t cooperate... well, I can’t guarantee we won’t have to kill you."

At these words, the passengers began to tremble with fear again. They looked around with pleading eyes, hoping soone would do sothing, but no one dared to move.

"Li Jiachen, Carlos, Stephen, Bill, Bernard, and Fan Bingbing. Five gentlen, one lady. Please make your way to the cockpit. Oh, and you’d better stand up on your own. If you don’t, well, our bullets don’t have eyes," the man added, a frivolous, mocking tone coloring his words.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang frowned. Aside from Fan Bingbing, the other five are all among the ten richest people in the world! It seems their plan is to rob these tycoons. But what I don’t get is why all five of them are on the sa plane. And why single out Fan Bingbing? Is she a tycoon, too? Or the daughter of one? After thinking it over, I can’t recall any tycoon with the surna Fan. This is strange.

Just then, Fan Bingbing stood up abruptly. Zhao You tried to pull her back down, but he couldn’t stop her. As she rose, she glanced at Lin Kuang, a plea for help flickering in her beautiful eyes, as if she sensed he was the one who could save her.

Lin Kuang t her gaze and stood up with a helpless sigh. I may not be a saint, but I am a soldier! Even if she hadn’t looked at

like that, I wouldn’t have just sat by and done nothing. Besides, this is a perfect opportunity to deal with them.

The mont Lin Kuang stood up, a flicker of gratitude flashed in Fan Bingbing’s eyes.

One of the terrorists looked at Fan Bingbing, holding up a photo to confirm her identity. "Fan Bingbing? Co with ." His gaze then shifted to Lin Kuang. "Who are you?"

"Hey, I’m Bingbing’s fiancé," Lin Kuang said with a grin, wrapping his arm familiarly around Fan Bingbing’s slender waist. "Whatever you want with her, you’ll have to take

too, right?"

Pulled into Lin Kuang’s embrace, Fan Bingbing’s body stiffened for a mont. A blush spread across her beautiful face, making her stunning features even more enchanting.

"Oh? You’re her fiancé?" the terrorist asked, his eyes filled with suspicion.

Lin Kuang nodded firmly. He leaned down and, with a calm expression, planted a kiss on Fan Bingbing’s cheek. "Would we be this intimate if we weren’t?"
