Chapter 182: Chapter 182: True Soldier

"Very well. Go help your comrades, and you will all be punished. You might even be dismissed from the Seal Special Team! Rest assured, I’m a man of my word. If you still want to help your comrades, you can go now!"

Lin Kuang’s tone was incredibly cold, without a hint of human warmth.

Upon hearing his words, Zhang Tianyou and the others shivered, but their eyes showed no hesitation.

"You cold-hearted bastard! Even if the Seal Special Team kicks us out, we’ll still help our comrades. That’s a bond you’ll never understand, you cold-hearted bastard!" Sun Lei roared in anger before Zhang Tianyou could even speak.

The next mont, Sun Lei strode forward, rushing directly toward Chen Hai, Zhou Shuang, and Wang Hong. Seeing this, Zhang Tianyou and the others didn’t hesitate either, marching forward to join their teammates.

Nine n, arm in arm, hand in hand, ford a line. Supporting their flagging comrades, they advanced toward the finish line with resolute steps.

Witnessing this scene, Lin Kuang’s eyes grew slightly moist, yet a broad smile spread across his face.

"Soldiers, you’ve done well! Now, I acknowledge you as true soldiers. This is what it ans to be a true soldier! You must rember that in that mont, you were on the battlefield. If you had hesitated, if you hadn’t helped your comrades, then you would have been deserters! And deserters are not fit to be soldiers! At this mont, I am deeply honored to be your instructor. To you, I salute!"

Lin Kuang shouted, then snapped to attention. Raising his hand, he gave the nine mbers of the Seal Special Team a flawlessly precise military salute.

Lin Kuang wasn’t a robot; he had feelings too. The situation he had created was rely a test. This outco was what he had truly wanted to see.

Hearing Lin Kuang’s words and seeing his actions, Zhang Tianyou and the others were stunned. Then it dawned on them: that mont had been Lin Kuang’s test. At this thought, their hearts ward, and they looked at Lin Kuang with eyes full of respect. This was their instructor, the kind of instructor who deserved their utmost respect!

"Seal Special Team, to our instructor, salute!" Zhang Tianyou shouted, raising his hand.

"Salute!" the nine mbers of the Seal Special Team roared in unison, returning a crisp salute to Lin Kuang under the scorching sun.

anwhile, Sun Lei’s face flushed crimson. He finally understood that he had completely misjudged Lin Kuang. Thinking about the instructor’s intentions, he was dying of embarrassnt.

"In-Instructor, I’m sorry! I was wrong. Please punish !" Sun Lei yelled.

"Don’t worry, I will," Lin Kuang shouted. "I said you’d be punished if you went to help your comrades because you’d be defying my orders. So, you’re all running another lap! And another thing—so guy seed to get a real kick out of cussing

out. That brat will run an extra lap, alone. None of you are to help him. If any of you so much as dare, I’ll make every single one of you run ten more!"

Upon hearing this, everyone’s face fell. Sun Lei, in particular, looked utterly wronged. He stared at Lin Kuang with an expression of utter grievance, like a scolded puppy.

Lin Kuang, of course, pretended not to notice, standing there quietly as if he hadn’t seen a thing.

At this, Sun Lei’s expression turned to one of utter misery; he was in for it now. Despite this, the morale of the nine mbers of the Seal Special Team was actually quite high. At least they now knew their instructor was a good man, one worthy of following.

With that thought, the nine n, arm in arm, gritted their teeth and ran another lap. The very last one, however, was run by a miserable Sun Lei, all by himself.

The look on his face made Zhang Tianyou and the others roar with laughter, thoroughly enjoying the spectacle.

Sun Lei grumbled to himself, cursing his comrades for their inhumanity and Lin Kuang for holding such a grudge.

He finally finished the last lap, completely exhausted. Fortunately, Zhang Tianyou and the others were there to hold him up; otherwise, he would have collapsed on the spot.

From his office window, Yang Wucheng had seen and heard everything that transpired, including the entire exchange between Lin Kuang and the Seal Special Team. He was extrely satisfied with Lin Kuang’s thods and the results.

At that mont, Yang Wucheng felt incredibly fortunate to have found a gem like Lin Kuang to train the Seals. He was confident that with Lin Kuang at the helm, the Seals would shine brightly at the future national Special Forces competition. Although it was just a gut feeling, he trusted it implicitly.

Lin Kuang quietly watched the nine n before him, a genuine smile appearing on his face for the first ti. "Soldiers, you did very well. I’m proud of you."

Seeing Lin Kuang’s smiling face was unsettling for Zhang Tianyou and the others. The n had secretly nicknad him the ’Stone-faced Instructor,’ so seeing him suddenly smiling at them made them feel awkward and unsure of how to act.

"What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue?" Lin Kuang asked, his tone once again indifferent. The sudden shift left them speechless.

"No, no, Instructor," they quickly replied.

"Then why are you all silent? Rest here for twenty minutes, then go eat!" Lin Kuang said coolly.

"Yes, Instructor!" Zhang Tianyou and the others roared in unison.

Lin Kuang nodded and stood his ground while the n sat on the ground, making the most of the short break.

Twenty minutes later, they entered the military district’s ss hall. As they were all big n who had endured grueling training, they ate quickly and heartily.

In the afternoon, Lin Kuang had them spar against each other again before he couldn’t resist jumping in for another one-versus-nine. Just watching them fight made his own fingers itch for action.

After giving the nine n a sound beating, Lin Kuang finally stopped, completely satisfied.

At four in the afternoon, Lin Kuang left on schedule, leaving Sun Lei in charge of the remaining matters.

Sun Lei wore a pained expression. He was terrified. If he lost the next lee, he would have to carry an extra fifteen kilograms. Just thinking about it was a nightmare.

When Lin Kuang arrived at the parking lot, Yang Wucheng was already waiting for him.

Seeing Lin Kuang, Yang Wucheng couldn’t help but smile. "Lin Kuang, that was beautifully done. Good job!"

Hearing this, Lin Kuang smiled slyly. "Commander, isn’t that what I just said earlier?"

Yang Wucheng was montarily stunned, and a flash of embarrassnt crossed his face.

"Ahem. I am the commander. What I say goes!" Yang Wucheng said with a stern face, glaring at Lin Kuang. This brat shows no respect for his superiors at all!

*PS: In my heart, the Seal Special Team are true soldiers. Kudos to them!*
