Chapter 166: Chapter 166: The Three-Second Dispute
From a hundred ters away, Lin Kuang quietly watched the scene, his indifferent expression gradually returning to calm.
He self-destructed. This guy is pretty ruthless, Lin Kuang thought. Dark Blood, you’ve co after
ti and again. Perfect. Tonight, I will uproot you all!
With that thought, Lin Kuang turned and got into the car.
Inside the car, Lin Guo’er’s complexion was pale, but she looked much better and was not as panicked as before.
"Lin Kuang, are you alright?" Lin Guo’er asked, her voice laced with worry.
"I’m fine, see? Alive and kicking," Lin Kuang said with a smile, noticing her pale face.
"As long as you’re fine... as long as you’re fine," Lin Guo’er muttered softly.
Lin Kuang chuckled and gently pulled her into his arms.
"It’s alright. Nothing bad is going to happen again, so don’t worry," Lin Kuang consoled her with a smile.
"Mhm, everything will be fine... it’ll be fine," Lin Guo’er murmured, nestled in his arms.
After a long while, Lin Kuang finally drove off, taking Lin Guo’er back to the Lin Family estate.
"Lin Kuang, I’m ho. Be careful on your way back," Lin Guo’er said worriedly, looking at his smiling face.
"Alright, I’ll be fine," Lin Kuang said with a smile, then gave Lin Guo’er a passionate kiss on her red lips.
A long mont passed before they parted. Lin Guo’er’s breathing grew rapid, and a blush crept over her pale, pretty face. She was clearly stirred.
"Lin... Lin Kuang, why don’t you co ho with ?" Lin Guo’er asked softly, her face flushed.
For a mont, Lin Kuang felt a strong impulse to go ho with her. However, the thought of being at her family’s ho made him feel a little awkward. Besides, he still had things to do.
"Today... let’s save it for next ti. Besides, it would be terribly awkward if we made too much noise at your house," Lin Kuang said.
Hearing this, Lin Guo’er’s pretty face flushed an even deeper red. She realized he was right. With her family ho, any noise they made in her room would be horribly embarrassing.
"Th-then... okay. Next ti," Lin Guo’er said, blushing, as she gave him a light kiss on the corner of his lips.
"Yeah, you should head in now, before your mom and dad start to worry," Lin Kuang said with a smile.
Lin Guo’er nodded, then stepped away from him and walked toward her ho. She kept looking back every few steps, clearly reluctant to leave.
Lin Kuang watched with a smile on his face as she walked into the estate.
The mont Lin Guo’er was inside, Lin Kuang’s expression turned cold. He took out his phone and dialed Zhang Liani’s number.
Zhang Liani answered almost instantly. "Hello, Mr. Lin." Her voice was surprised, yet respectful. She hadn’t expected a call from him at this hour.
"Liani, find the address of Dark Blood’s headquarters in East Sea," Lin Kuang said flatly.
"Dark Blood? That assassin organization?" Zhang Liani couldn’t help but ask.
"Yes, that’s the one," Lin Kuang confird.
"Okay, I’ll send you their address shortly. However, Mr. Lin, forgive
for asking, but what are you planning to do there?" Zhang Liani asked cautiously.
"Kill people," Lin Kuang said with a laugh.
"You... you’re going to take on Dark Blood’s entire East Sea branch alone? You can’t! That’s too dangerous! How about this? I can send so people to help you," Zhang Liani said quickly, her tone full of worry.
"It’s fine. I can handle it myself. And you can’t risk being exposed right now. Besides, Dark Blood is a powerful organization. If people from the Eagle Sect showed up, they’d inevitably find out, which would put the sect in a bad position," Lin Kuang said with a smile.
How could she not know it would be bad for the Eagle Sect? But she couldn’t bear to see Lin Kuang take such a risk!
"Then... please be careful. Call
imdiately if you’re in danger," Zhang Liani urged again.
"Mhm, don’t worry, I know what I’m doing. That’s all for now. I’ll wait for the address," Lin Kuang said with a smile before hanging up.
After ending the call, Lin Kuang sat in the battered rcedes and quietly waited for Zhang Liani’s ssage.
Less than a minute later, his phone pinged with a ssage containing the address.
After morizing the address, Lin Kuang turned off his phone. What if it rings while I’m trying to be stealthy?
With his phone off, Lin Kuang started the car and headed straight for the address Zhang Liani had provided.
The location was on the outskirts of the city. On the surface, it was a factory, but it secretly served as Dark Blood’s branch headquarters in East Sea.
After driving for nearly forty minutes, Lin Kuang parked the car five hundred ters away from the remote factory.
Getting out of the car, he stared into the dark night, a cold gleam flashing in his eyes.
"Dark Blood, you brought this upon yourselves. Don’t bla
for what cos next!"
As he spoke, his figure seed to lt into the shadows, vanishing into the darkness like a ghost, becoming almost impossible to see.
For Lin Kuang, a distance of five hundred ters could be covered in a matter of minutes.
When he reached the factory’s periter wall, he pushed off forcefully with his feet, leaping high into the air. Hooking his left elbow over the top of the wall, he peeked inside.
Observing carefully, Lin Kuang saw no one inside the factory. Instead, several security caras were rotating in a continuous pattern. He watched them for a mont, studying their paths.
From his position, there was a three-second blind spot. Another dead angle was a full hundred ters away. This ant he had to jump down from the wall and dash to the other dead angle within three seconds, or he would be discovered.
With that in mind, Lin Kuang took a deep breath and began to count silently in his head.
The mont the caras panned away from his location, Lin Kuang vaulted over the wall and into the compound. He landed inside without making a sound. Without pausing, he pushed off with his feet, his body shooting forward like an arrow as he sprinted frantically toward the other dead angle.
One second, he counted, already covering over ten ters.
Two seconds. He was halfway there.
Three!
As the final second ended, Lin Kuang pushed off again, his speed surging as he ca to a firm stop in the pre-selected dead angle.
Just then, the caras in the yard swung back around, their lenses sweeping past the empty space where he had been monts before, completely missing his figure.
Leaning against the wall, Lin Kuang took a long, deep breath. That three-second sprint had been exhausting.
